GW, Fukuoka Day 2. I didn't have much planned for this day. First things first, breakfast. I found White Glass Coffee while walking on a road (called Kokutetsu Street) from Canal towards Sumiyoshi Street before. It's a place that Mori Madoka (formerly of HKT48) posted on Instagram a while back. I looked it up and found out they serve breakfast, so I visited promptly. The morning hours are from 8 to 10. There are 5 options, but I went for the thick toast set. I waited on the terrace seat that Mori posted about. It was quiet, maybe because it was raining a bit that day, or because it was a Saturday. The coffee was a generous size. The first sip was easy to drink, but had a strong bitterness. It didn't bother me when I had it with the toast, though, and it woke me up nicely. The toast was 3cm thick! It had a chewy texture and a hint of sweetness. The strawberry jam was delicious. And the homemade vinegar drink served alongside the coffee also woke me up! It's a bit pricey at 800 yen, but it's a stylish place and I was satisfied. I'd like to visit again. By the way, when I passed by on a weekday during GW, the place was packed with customers.

I ordered a dish with avocado and eggs for breakfast. I also ordered a hot coffee. The dish had avocado on top of the bread, with olive oil and Parmesan cheese, I think. It was delicious. However, the coffee was not good. It was worse than convenience store coffee, and even with milk added, the unique smell made it hard to drink. I couldn't finish the coffee and had to get another one at a different place.

I chose to sit at a 4-person sofa table by myself. I ordered the Cheese Egg Toast set (with a drink) for 1000 yen, with a hot cafe latte. I also ordered the Tiramisu for 660 yen. The food arrived in about 7 minutes. The toast had a crispy cheese topping, and when I cut into it, the egg was nice and runny. You could also choose a boiled egg instead of the runny one. The toast was quite filling with plenty of cheese. It was delicious! The cafe latte was also tasty, with a nice latte art on top. It made me happy to start my day with it. Lastly, the Tiramisu. I had been wanting to try it for a while, and today was the day. It was beautiful and delicate, with a crunchy chocolate layer in the middle giving a bitter adult taste. There was plenty of crushed chocolate on top, making me feel happy. Both the Tiramisu and the chocolate were really delicious. Since it was mostly solo diners, I was able to eat and relax quietly, making it a cozy experience. I will definitely go back again.

I visited Oshaka Cafe near Canal City, longing for a healthy lifestyle. Although it's far from Hakata Station, I decided to walk there and surprisingly arrived in about 20 minutes while chatting. The exterior of the restaurant had plants and the interior was stylish and clean. About 80% of the customers were women. [Order] - Avocado and Shrimp Cobb Salad (★: excellent, ◎: very delicious, ○: tasty, ・: average) This salad looked very healthy with avocado, shrimp, tomato, bacon, boiled egg, and leafy greens, topped with dressing. I usually underestimate salads as I have an unhealthy diet, but this one was surprisingly satisfying. When ordered as a set, it comes with soup which was incredibly delicious. The bread that came with the salad paired perfectly with the soup. I never knew salads could be this tasty. If eating this makes it a healthy meal, then I'm all for it. I'll definitely go Oshaka Cafe again for some "Osha" activities. Thank you for the meal.
