During lunchtime, I went to a sushi restaurant called "Fujiya" in Juso. It was busy but there were no customers. The atmosphere inside was a bit run-down. It seemed like the owner was running the place alone, so the service was slow. I ordered the daily special for 850 yen, which was mackerel today and it was delicious with a nice oily taste. The sashimi was also tasty. However, I was a bit concerned about the cleanliness of the restaurant. They only accept cash.

The owner runs the shop alone, so it takes time to be patient. The reward for waiting (delicious food) will definitely be worth it. Golden Week has begun, causing a stir in the world. I'm working in the Juusan area as usual today. My usual go-to shop is closed today, so I decided to wander around the shopping street. I found "Fujiya" and was captivated by the daily special set meal: sashimi assortment and grilled mackerel with salt. The luxurious set meal includes sashimi of genuine sea bream, tuna, and salmon, along with grilled mackerel with salt, a side dish, miso soup, rice, and pickles. All of this for a reasonable price of 850 yen. The sashimi had a good texture, and the side dish with simmered food was delicious. The rice and miso soup were also tasty, so I will definitely come back. Next time, I'll try the seafood bowl.

I had work in Juso, so I enjoyed lunch in the office district. I headed towards the east exit, reminiscing about the time I used to attend a cram school around here. I went into Fujiya, a restaurant that serves plenty of fish dishes like sushi and sashimi for lunch. I had a small dish, 6 pieces of sushi, a roll, and udon for less than 1000 yen. I thought to myself that I would have frequented this place if I worked in Juso. I hope to visit again in the evening.

In January of the 5th year of Reiwa, during lunchtime (11:00-14:30), I had the sushi set meal for 850 yen including tax, which consisted of 6 pieces of nigiri sushi, 4 pieces of rolled sushi, a side dish, and udon noodles. Unfortunately, personally, I didn't quite like the vinegared rice. This is a smoking-permitted establishment, and even during lunchtime, the chef smokes at the counter, so it's a good place for smokers. However, non-smokers may want to avoid it.

Around 9:30 p.m. on a regular day. It was not crowded. An izakaya that also serves sushi. Located about a 2-minute walk from Hankyu Juso Station, in an area with many dining establishments. The exterior and interior have a vintage feel. There is a counter in the front and tables in the back. The overall space is narrow. The owner manages the place alone. The menu is extensive. An old man had lunch in Juso at the age of thirteen. He occasionally appears in that town, Juso. Oh, the casual atmosphere is nice, isn't it? [Juso] So, in Juso, I found a izakaya called Fujiya. I think the main business is at night, but they were serving lunch so I decided to stop by. The interior of the restaurant is like a sushi restaurant. Or maybe it's a combination of an izakaya and a sushi restaurant? The atmosphere seemed to be delicious with a lot of fish, so I ordered the daily special lunch set that was mainly made with fish. It was 650 yen. Well, for the price, the content was quite substantial. The main dish was salted mackerel with sashimi and side dishes, so there were plenty of side dishes. Oh, the rice was so good. It's quite a charming restaurant. If you have the chance, please give it a try!!!

I love Fujika! I arrived late at night but they welcomed me warmly. The delicious sashimi was the perfect way to finish off after eating to my heart's content. The tuna was so soft and chewy when eaten raw. The salmon had a smooth flavor. The seaweed salad was surprisingly tasty and had a nice texture. I will definitely go back again!

Yodogawa-ku, Osaka City. Located in the shopping street at the east exit of Juso Station. The service lunch menu made me go "Wow!" Inside the restaurant, there is a kitchen on the right and a surrounding L-shaped counter. I said, "I'll have the service lunch, please!" and the tough-looking father replied, "Sure!" The service lunch costs 650 yen and includes assorted sashimi, pork ginger, small side dishes, rice, miso soup, and pickles. You can also get free extra rice! The sashimi was fresh and delicious. The pork ginger was a bit strong in flavor, but perfect when eaten with cabbage. The side dishes were also well-seasoned, especially the eggplant. The rice was cooked perfectly, and the miso soup was rich in flavor. It was so good that you could almost just eat the miso soup with rice. The father, who seems to like horse racing, was friendly when we left. The restaurant offers side dishes starting from 200-300 yen, a variety of Japanese sake, and even sushi. What a wonderful izakaya!

Visited "Fujiya" in Juso again on September 19, 2019. The deliciousness was consistent as always! Tried "Tamametai" for the first time and it was amazing! Also had their famous tuna dumplings. Tried the rare sweet potato shochu "Nanakubo" as well. Visited "Fujiya" in Juso on July 28, 2019. Unfortunately, I couldn't taste the saury, but the raw sardines were excellent. And at 380 yen, it's a great deal.
