On Saturday, I went for a walk with my son after a long time. During Golden Week, we had nothing to do, so we went for a walk every day and ate takoyaki. But after a long time, we decided to have takoyaki again. We found a few takoyaki shops, but they were still preparing as it was early. So, we went to Amerikamura Koga-style Takoyaki in the food court of Ario Higashi. They had various flavors like sauce mayo, soy sauce mayo, salt, and green onion sauce, but my son chose the usual sauce mayo. We ordered the smallest size of 10 pieces for 420 yen and waited at our table. By the way, the food court at Ario had tables separated by transparent boards for COVID-19 prevention. After a while, we heard our number being called, so I went to pick up the takoyaki. Instead of a bell, they used cards with numbers written on them, so you need to be close enough to hear when your number is called. They didn't say anything special, but they remembered that I ordered with my child and gave us two sets of chopsticks. It's a small gesture, but not many food court shops pay attention to such details, so I appreciated it. Normally, my child eats until he's full and then shares with me, but this time I knew we couldn't finish 10 pieces, so we started sharing from the beginning. The appearance of the takoyaki is similar in all shops, but they were generously topped with sauce, mayonnaise, and bonito flakes. Takoyaki tastes best with a lot of sauce, right? The price was a bit higher compared to street takoyaki shops, but the takoyaki was bigger and the octopus inside was also quite large. After a long time, I had takoyaki again, and as expected, takoyaki with plenty of sauce was delicious.
