Did you know that SUPERMARKET KOHYOKOHYO in Yodoyabashi, where you can eat in, is operated by a company called Koyo, which is part of the Aeon Group? I, as the PR representative, just found out about it this time. No wonder they accept WAON cards! It's so convenient to shop at the supermarket and then eat inside. On this day, I was extremely thirsty, so I just sat down and drank a drink. I had the "Kocha-den" - Coca-Cola's unsweetened straight tea. This is really delicious! It has no bitterness at all, and has a refreshing and elegant taste. You can't underestimate the bottled teas these days. There is also a vending machine available.

Hmm, it's about Super Koyo. I'm not sure what to write in this review. I'll write about the bakery at Koyo. It's advertised as a 120 yen bakery that you can see from the outside. The bakery space is surprisingly small and the variety of bread is not that much. I bought a cream bread and a tomato and bacon sandwich. You pay at the regular supermarket checkout. Well, the bread is just okay, nothing special, but for the price, it's decent and fills you up. So-so.

I can't help but peek at the bread section of the supermarket. Recently, even at 100 yen stores, there is a wide variety of seasonal bread available. This time, I visited a bakery inside the Super KOHYO Yodoyabashi store, right in the middle of the office district. Since it is an Aeon group store, you can pay with WAON, which is convenient. The bread section in a corner of the supermarket offers all bread for 129 yen each. From classic bread to delicious baguette sandwiches, the selection is exciting. You can choose between a paper tray or a plastic bag, pick your favorite bread, place it along with other items, and pay at the common register. This time, I chose the following items (all priced at 129 yen including tax): - Beef Croquette Bread: "We used a whole beef croquette for plenty of volume." The croquette spills out, creating an impressive visual. The crust is thin, crispy, and fragrant. The inside is fluffy, with a crispy beef croquette and crunchy cheese covering the surface. And to my surprise, there is a slightly sweet tonkatsu sauce added. When heated, the cheese melts, enhancing the unity of croquette and sauce. Delicious! - Quinamman (Maple Flavored): The surface is light and crispy, with a moist buttery texture, making it quite authentic Danish pastry. The back has a caramel flavor with a crispy burnt bitterness, suitable for adults. The maple caramel coating and the dough complement each other perfectly! - Cheese-Filled: "Plenty of cheese wrapped in a chewy bread dough." A dream come true, a bread covered with plenty of cheese. The cheese is crispy, fragrant, slightly sweet, and the chewy dough enhances the saltiness of the cheese. This is delicious! - Chicken Nanban Sandwich: A crispy fried chicken with sweet and spicy teriyaki sauce, pickles, and tartar sauce with boiled eggs. A luxurious combination with ample volume. A sandwich with so many fillings for 129 yen is a great deal! All four items I purchased this time exceeded my expectations in terms of deliciousness. Supermarket bread has really evolved. I would like to try more as you can easily explore various options. Thank you for the meal!

I wanted to have some bread to eat at home, so I decided to buy some at Paneteria. It was a brand from Super Co-op, priced at 120 yen each (including tax). The store had a view of the workshop and a wide variety of bread. First, I picked up tongs and a box or a small plastic bag to choose the products. Once decided, there was a table with a large plastic bag and some tape next to it, so you could wrap the bread yourself and take it to the register to pay. I bought two pieces, which totaled 258 yen. The sweet bread had a generous amount of not-too-sweet cream, with colorful sprinkles on top, making it look cute. It was quite filling, and the dough was not too soft, but I still enjoyed the taste. The chocolate-coated strawberry on top added a slightly sour sweetness. The croquette bread had cheese inside, making it quite delicious. The croquette was large, making it a good bread with a side dish. After eating both, I was very full. Enjoying them with hot milk made it a luxurious yet affordable meal.

[First Visit on Saturday, December 6, 2014, around 8:30 PM] My partner and I visited this store for shopping. We were staying at Hotel Unizo Osaka Yodoyabashi, so this nearby supermarket was convenient. Despite being within business hours, the lights outside the store were off for some reason. Maybe they were being considerate of the illumination on Midosuji Avenue? I'm not sure. We bought a discounted red-fleshed melon block for 64 yen, originally priced at 128 yen. The melon was from Mexico, processed by Yu Foods Co., Ltd. in Izumi, Osaka, and sold by Aeon Co., Ltd. in Mihama Ward, Chiba City. It was delicious. [About the Store] This store is located on the southwest corner of the Komaibashi 3-way intersection on Midosuji Avenue, very close to Yodoyabashi Station on the Osaka Municipal Subway.

I visited the Yodoyabashi store of a supermarket chain with 56 stores in Kinki region, including Osaka, Hyogo, Kyoto, Nara, and Wakayama, with an annual revenue of 92.1 billion yen (as of February 2014). Originally starting as a fish market, the store has now expanded into a supermarket and became a subsidiary of Aeon Corporation in December 2007. So, even though the store is named KOHYO, it is actually part of Aeon. I bought a Cheese Hamburg Bento from there, which has a hamburger patty topped with cheese. It was a decent meal, especially in a competitive lunch area like Honmachi.

I was on a business trip in Yodoyabashi area in Osaka and wanted to have breakfast in the morning. However, since it was Sunday, most of the restaurants in this office district were closed. But I wanted to eat rice... I didn't have the energy to walk all the way to Yotsubashi-suji due to heavy rain. So, I stopped by a supermarket. It seems to be open from 7 am. [Interior] It's a supermarket, but it has counter seats and table seats where you can eat what you bought. There is also a microwave and paper towels, so everything you need is available. [Taste] I bought two rice balls (1 for 128 yen). They had the regular type like those sold in convenience stores and a slightly higher quality type. I prefer the moist type over the crispy seaweed, so I bought the higher quality one. It was a normal rice ball, but the filling was not just visible on the surface, it was evenly distributed inside and tasted delicious. [Cost Performance] If you don't mind the taste or atmosphere, I think the cost performance is great. (It's a supermarket after all... haha) [Impression] It's right near the south exit of Yodoyabashi, so it's convenient on rainy days, when you're short on time, or on weekends when you don't care about the atmosphere. In addition to rice balls, they also have bread, bento boxes, sushi, side dishes, and more, so I think it's a useful store considering cost performance.

In addition to Bigo's bread, HL Bagel in Tamazo also offers a variety of breads. There is Mentaiko French bread available, and although the selection is not extensive, it is convenient to buy. The bagel has a dense dough with a sticky texture, not very chewy. It tastes even better with plenty of cream cheese. A businessman quickly chose three pieces, and I thought it was convenient to buy tea at the supermarket and get bread from Bigo. The Whole Wheat bagel costs 160 yen (tax included) and has a flavorful dough, suitable for chewing. It is a genuine bagel with a dense texture. Although it is not very chewy, it has a good bite and heavy dough. There were about five types of bagels available, but I would be very happy if they could offer a wider variety. Since there were many simple bagels, I would appreciate it if they could also offer sweet or savory bagels.

After finishing work, I sometimes find it hard to go to the supermarket. In those times, I stop by here to do some light shopping before heading home. Since there are a lot of single people here, the main focus is on small portion sizes for fresh food, which is very convenient. In the morning, I often come here to buy bottled tea and the smell of the freshly cooked dishes is really tempting. The side dishes are also very delicious, especially the tempura. They also have small rice bowl dishes and the onsen egg really lifts your spirits. I think the quality of the side dishes here is quite high for a supermarket.
