On this day, I visited "Ezaki Store" on a whim.
◇ Exterior and Interior
The exterior is simple and stylish. It seems like they have renovated it as it looks different from my previous memory. Inside the store, the kitchen is centrally located, surrounded by products. There is a homemade feel to the atmosphere, which clearly sets it apart from other supermarkets. Most products indicate their place of origin, giving a glimpse of the store's commitment. They also offer a selection of wines and sake, and focus on fresh fish, creating an enjoyable space just to browse.
◇ No seating available.
◇ Menu Composition
The appetizer menu ranges from 3,000 yen to 10,000 yen. They also offer bento boxes, rice balls, assorted sashimi, and more. I ordered the following:
- Appetizer (5,400 yen) → Including tax. It was a quality-over-quantity type of appetizer. The contents of the day included about 10 items. Fried items included chicken karaage and shrimp tempura. There was a burdock root and watercress salad, simmered vegetables, and roast beef, bacon-wrapped oysters. They also had clam dishes and Western-style cuisine, offering a rich variety. All the dishes were delicious, especially the roast beef and burdock root and watercress salad. The roast beef was particularly impressive. Some dishes were divided into smaller portions, so warming up the cold dishes in the microwave would make them even more delicious.
◆ Strong Points
It clearly stands out from other supermarkets and is popular locally. When I asked my friends, they mentioned that the store had appeared on TV and even offers cooking classes. The taste was elegant and delicious.
◆ Customer Service
The staff were very friendly.
◆ Conclusion
In the past, the places I used to order appetizers from have either disappeared or their quality has declined, resulting in fewer options like assorted sashimi. It seems that the trend is shifting towards large supermarkets offering cheap appetizers. That's why I hope these kinds of stores continue to thrive! Thank you for the delicious meal.
