Thank you very much for always reading ✨ If you like it, please try bookmarking it with the "Save Shop" button♪ A shop located near Shinsaibashi Station in Osaka. When it comes to Chiyomatsu! The Dotonbori main store has been on TV for over a year and is a popular, long-line store✨ I heard that a related store had opened, so I went to check it out♪ As soon as I left Shinsaibashi Station on the subway, it was right in front of me! It was in the best location♪ When I looked at the menu, I wanted to try everything, so I ordered three types. They cut the cutlet in front of me and made the onigiri... It looked so delicious just watching it (*'▽'*) Of course, it was delicious when I ate it, and the size was so big that I was desperate to eat it (lol) Chiyomatsu's onigiri, popular in Osaka! Highly recommended (*^▽^*) What I ordered was, ・Chiyomatsu Tonkatsu Onigiri (Standard rice ball) 600 yen ○ ※ The red powder on the tonkatsu is paprika, so it's not spicy. ・Tonkatsu Onigiri Double Cheese (with cheese) 700 yen ◎ ※ There is cheese in the onigiri and on the tonkatsu too! A little Korean style. ・Super Rich Gold Sesame Sauce Flavor (with gold sesame sauce) 700 yen ○ ※ Gold sesame sauce + gold sesame sprinkle + extra sauce on the side! The best! _/_/_/_/_/_/_/_/_/_/ Thank you very much for reading until the end ✨ If you leave a comment, I will reply♪ I hope this gourmet information can be helpful to you even a little bit. ▽I also update Instagram. There is a new onigiri shop called "Chiyomatsu" in the basement of Shinsaibashi Parco, offering the largest tonkatsu onigiri in Japan for ¥600. They have two options on the menu: regular tonkatsu and cheese tonkatsu. I ordered the regular tonkatsu onigiri, which was freshly made in front of me. The tonkatsu was wrapped in rice, lightly pressed, and wrapped in seaweed. It was so big that I could only eat it in two bites. The rice was cooked with dashi broth and was delicious. It was a satisfying meal. Highly recommended! 5.4 out of 5 stars.

When I exited the ticket gate at Shinsaibashi Station, I saw a long line in front of a shop. To my surprise, it was a tonkatsu onigiri shop! I've had katsu sandwiches before, but tonkatsu onigiri? I was skeptical, but it turned out to be delicious! I'm sure my family will be thrilled if I bring some home after work! Plus, despite being huge, it only cost 600 yen, which is great value for money!笑

I tried a thick and large tonkatsu that was so big I wanted to mention it, and it was delicious with a rich broth and rice cooked with it, along with nori from Ariake. The takeout-only store has long lines and is located at the underground entrance of Shinsaibashi Parco.

For a limited time, that "Chiyomatsu" tonkatsu is now available in onigiri form. The location is next to the entrance of the PARCO basement, right in front of the Shinsaibashi Station ticket gate. The onigiri is made to order, so it's hot and fresh. The tonkatsu is very tender with a crispy coating, and it's incredibly delicious. Made with fragrant Ama-no-Hashid nori and Koshihikari rice cooked in dashi. The volume of the tonkatsu is impressive! There are two types of onigiri available: Paprika for ¥600 and Cheese for ¥700. I ordered the "Cheese" which had plenty of cheddar cheese sauce on the outside and melty cheese inside. It was rich but the tonkatsu was tender and light, so it was easy to eat up! However, this onigiri weighs over 300g so be careful. The opening hours are from 11:00, but they will close if they sell 100 pieces, so visit early. Although it's a limited time offer, the pop-up will be around for about six months (until winter 2023). Enjoy it for a while! Thank you for the meal.

Have you ever eaten such a big onigiri before? It was my first time. The popular katsudon restaurant, Chiyomatsu, has opened a specialized onigiri shop called Onigiri Chiyomatsu on the basement floor of Shinsaibashi Parco! When you see the first picture, you might think there's no tonkatsu inside the nori, but watch the video, there's tonkatsu inside the nori as well. The tonkatsu is about 120g and the rice is about 180g, much more volume than a typical tonkatsu bento from a regular bento shop!! And it's only 600 yen and up, such a great deal. The rice has a nice flavor too, and I even ate it while driving home with one hand, but it didn't spill at all. It might be a great snack for a little trip. On weekends, they may sell out by the evening. It's really delicious, so try it once if you can━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━If you like the post, please like it ♥️ and follow. Please save any posts that interest you even a little━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━Visited on 2023.06.29, 600 yen and up, various cards and electronic money accepted, Osaka Metro Shinsaibashi Station right outside️, Coin parking available @onigiri_chiyomatsu (Instagram)✏️Foodlog score at the time of posting: Not rated due to being right after opening.

2023 New Store Development Chronicle Part 125 Last year in April, "Katsudon Chiyomatsu Chinami Store" opened in Nipponbashi, Osaka. With a thickness of 5 centimeters and weighing 350 grams, this katsudon restaurant caught my attention. Despite not usually paying much attention to new katsu restaurants, I happened to visit this one two days after its opening and was surprised by its thickness. Now, it has become a popular restaurant with long lines. Later on, a take-out katsu sandwich shop called "Katsu Sand Chiyomatsu" opened in Umeda, Osaka, and another "Katsudon Chiyomatsu Abeno Hoop Store" opened in Tennoji, Osaka. Additionally, there is "Tonkatsu Zen" in Namba, Osaka, known for its 600-gram thick katsu, the ferocious Katsuju. In terms of the genre of thick katsudon without egg, the Tokyo series includes "Tonkatsu Marushichi" in Monzen-Nakacho, Tokyo, known for its grilled katsudon with extra rice. In the Nagoya series, there is "Katsudon Daiki" in Kurokawa, Nagoya, offering the ultimate katsudon. Now, onto the main topic. On June 1st, "Tonkatsu Onigiri Chiyomatsu" opened in Shinsaibashi, Osaka. Chiyomatsu has opened a tonkatsu onigiri shop. Although I am not particularly interested in onigiri shops and have visited them rarely, there has been an increase in onigiri shops in Kansai recently, such as the "Bongo"-style onigiri shop. I ordered the Chiyomatsu tonkatsu onigiri for 600 yen.

There is a rice ball shop run by a famous restaurant known for its thick pork cutlets cooked at low temperature. They offer a rice ball with a large tonkatsu sandwiched inside, with the tonkatsu overflowing from the sides. The tonkatsu is soft and goes well with the rice. It is quite filling, almost like a small bento box in terms of calories. It may be a good option for a meal. The tonkatsu has a texture that feels like it has just been coated in pork broth, so it gives a different impression, but it might be good for those who like soft textures.

Onigiri for ¥600 located in Shinsaibashi Parco underground near the subway ticket gate. Visited around 3 pm on a weekday. No wait. When you order, the staff swiftly makes the onigiri right in front of you. The tonkatsu is about 110-120g and the meat, cooked at low temperature, is tender and delicious. The rice, cooked with dashi broth, is tasty on its own. It's firm and satisfying to eat. The red powder is paprika. They also have a cheese version. One onigiri is filling! It was delicious. Thank you for the meal.

The tonkatsu was huge and funny, I was planning to buy eel at the supermarket afterwards but I found it there so I decided to take it home. It's funny to see them wrap it up after ordering. Both dishes were delicious but the rice was a bit hard, which was disappointing. However, the impact was excellent. Everyone around me laughed when they saw the photo.

【Osaka Shinsaibashi】▶︎ About 5 seconds walk from Osaka Metro Shinsaibashi Station? After exiting the PARCO side ticket gate, this shop is on the right at the entrance to PARCO! I visited during my shopping trip because I saw on SNS that it was said to be the biggest in Japan since it opened in June. It didn't look that big on SNS, but it was actually quite large! It was about 15cm in height, 5cm in width, and 12-3cm in depth. I didn't measure it, but it was definitely big! The rice is 100% Niigata Koshihikari, cooked with dashi, so the rice has a nice flavor. The tonkatsu is made from a rare cut of pork that is cooked at low temperature for 24 hours and fried in a blend of lard and salad oil. The nori is directly delivered from a nori factory in Ariake, and it had a good nori flavor. The tonkatsu is cut into 5cm pieces and uses 120g of meat. The rice ball uses 160g of rice, so the total weight is over 300g! The rice balls are made quickly, in about 1-2 minutes each! Since it is a takeout-only store, you can eat it at the tables in PARCO. It would make a great gift. The staff were very kind and polite, which made for a pleasant shopping experience. ♡ ● Tonkatsu Rice Ball with Double Cheese 700 yen I had this one. Cheese is grilled between the rice and tonkatsu, with a generous amount of cheese sauce on top. The rice is slightly firm with a burnt rice crust. ● Super Rich Black Sesame Sauce Flavor 700 yen They sprinkle extra black sesame on top after drizzling the black sesame sauce. Sauce is also included separately. ● Chiyomatsu Tonkatsu Rice Ball 600 yen A simple style with tonkatsu and rice. They sprinkle paprika powder on top. ※ All prices include tax.

"Chiyo Matsuzaka," currently buzzing with the thickest tonkatsu in Japan, has now released onigiri ❤️‍❤️‍. With 120g of tonkatsu and 180g of rice, the total weight of 300g is overwhelmingly voluminous!! The koshihikari rice, cooked with dashi, is topped with tonkatsu finished with low-temperature cooking for a crispy texture! It's so delicious that you might finish it quicker than you think ===========

I peeked into Chiyo Matsusan's storefront after a long time, and to my surprise, they had a new product called "Super Rich Sesame Sauce Flavor"! I decided to buy it right away. Last time I bought from there, the rice ball was falling apart due to its size and weight by the time I got home. But this time, when I opened it at home, it was still intact. The previous one seemed like a collection of rice scraps at the end. This time, the onigiri had sauce on it but didn't fall apart, and I could hold it properly with my hands. There was also a menu item with a whole tonkatsu for 1,000 yen, but compared to the price of the onigiri, it didn't seem like a good deal. But I might try it when I feel like it.

This time, in front of the ticket gate at Shinsaibashi, near the underground entrance of Parco, they have the biggest tonkatsu onigiri in Japan. The tonkatsu, weighing 120g, is wrapped in 180g of rice for a total weight of about 300g per onigiri. It's designed to fill you up with just one onigiri. The rice, cooked with broth, is the highlight. Perfect for takeout or to enjoy at home.⠀ ---------------------------------------- Instagram @onigiri_chiyomatsu Address: 1-8-3 Shinsaibashi-suji, Chuo-ku, Osaka, Shinsaibashi PARCO B1F Opening hours: 11:00-20:30 About 10 minutes, 240 yen from Tennoji to Shinsaibashi on the Midosuji Line. - Cost-performance lovers, this is a must-visit spot - Osaka / Shinsaibashi [Tonkatsu Onigiri Chiyomatsu] / Available until sold out. Just 1 second from Shinsaibashi Station! The biggest Tonkatsu Onigiri in Japan~\ ☑︎ Tonkatsu Onigiri ¥600 ☑︎ Tonkatsu Onigiri with Double Cheese ¥700. Following the famous "thickest in Japan" Katsudon and Katsu Sandwich, now introducing Onigiri〜〜✨ Made with 24-hour slow-cooked pork, Niigata's Koshihikari rice, and nori from Saga Prefecture! A giant onigiri filled with attention to detail! The red powder might look like ichimi (Japanese chili pepper), but it's actually paprika powder, so it's not spicy at all! ❣️ Despite its thickness, it's unbelievably tender〜 Even when it cools down, it remains soft, but nothing beats it when it's freshly made ♡..✎ The staff puts a lot of love into making them, and their friendly service makes it taste five times more delicious〜〜♡ Perfect as a souvenir too. Thank you for reading until the end. It's essential to save this for future reference! @gourmet_tabi

Chiyomatsu, known for their famous "5cm thick katsudon" and with outlets in katsu sandwich specialty stores and Abeno food court, has opened a new "tonkatsu onigiri" specialty shop at the entrance of Shinsaibashi Parco. They fry carefully selected domestic black pork for 24 hours at low temperature using lard to make it crispy. They use Niigata Koshihikari rice and high-quality nori directly sourced from a nori processing plant in Ariake, Saga. The onigiri are made to order (the tonkatsu is already fried) so you can watch the process, which is fun. Currently, they offer two types of onigiri: Chiyomatsu Tonkatsu Onigiri (600 yen) and Tonkatsu Onigiri Double Cheese (700 yen). They are huge!

Giant tonkatsu onigiri shop. The menu has two options: plain tonkatsu onigiri and cheese-filled tonkatsu onigiri. I went to buy some around 5 pm on the first day, and there were only three left! I ordered one plain and one cheese-filled. Luckily, I was able to buy them. While waiting for them to be made, two people lined up behind me. Towards the end, I apologized for causing them to sell out. I decided to take two to go. They put them in a bag as a service, so I didn't look inside until I got home. One was 300g, and two were 600g, so they were quite heavy. When I got home and opened the pack, they were a bit crumbled. Maybe the rice didn't stick together well, or maybe the tonkatsu (180g) and rice (120g) ratio caused them to crumble due to the weight? Anyway, I didn't give up and ate them. The taste was delicious, but personally, I preferred the plain one over the cheese-filled one because the cheese was a bit overwhelming. It's a limited-time offer until November, so I might go back to buy more.
