I visited again because I was craving delicious kushikatsu. I ordered the usual omakase until I put a stop to it! This time, there were toppings like seasonal tumbler, prosciutto, and various others. It was refreshing to have some light dishes in between. Despite being kushikatsu, the batter was thin and not oily, giving more of a rich taste. It felt more like steamed food than fried food. I was very satisfied again this time.

I felt like eating delicious kushikatsu after a long time, so I visited "Emitei" in Kitahama. This restaurant always offers pleasant surprises that go beyond the concept of kushikatsu! From the basic kushikatsu to the surprising ones, such as the kitsune udon kushikatsu that came out at the end! It was amazing once again this time.

I came to Emitei for the first time in a while. If you want to eat delicious kushikatsu, this is the place to go. Once again, the kushikatsu was exquisite. There was swordfish topped with thinly sliced burdock sesame dressing, the classic beef tongue stew kushikatsu, and turban shell tempura in a pot, all of which were amazing.

I visited my favorite kushikatsu restaurant with my junior for a meal after a long time. The quality of the kushikatsu, fried right in front of you at the beautiful counter, is amazing! Each skewer is carefully prepared, resulting in a surprising light and crispy texture. I ate too much again this time.

I went to a stylish skewer restaurant. My image of skewers has changed! There are many different types of sauces, and they serve fried foods that go well with each sauce. In between, they also bring out small side dishes to give your stomach a break from all the fried food. Unlike regular skewers, the sizes are small and can be eaten in one or two bites, and there are many creative skewers with unique flavors! It was delicious - thank you for the meal. (ФωФ)

Delicious! Creative Tempura Course in Osaka, Kitahama - For the last dinner of the 18-night, 19-day trip, we went to a tempura restaurant near Osaka's Keihan Kitahama Station called Waraitei. We enjoyed a course of delicious tempura prepared by the owner, Mr. Hiratsuka, while having a wrap-up of the event held in Kagawa and discussing upcoming summer events with our clients. Eating delicious tempura dishes and sharing drinks while talking seems to make everything go in a positive direction. It was another enjoyable evening last night. Thank you for the meal! (^o^)

This was a new and unique kushikatsu restaurant where even celebrities can come incognito. The chef talked to us the whole time and left a very enjoyable impression. I visited a few years ago, but I would like to visit again when I go to Osaka. I am grateful for the delicious meal.

I haven't been inside the restaurant, but it doesn't have flashy signs so it might be a bit hard to find. The main branch is apparently in Suminoe, and the atmosphere there is completely different. The one in Kitahama is a quiet little shop. They don't serve heavy kushikatsu, but rather a more elegant size that women would appreciate. They offer a variety of ingredients that you may not have tried before in kushikatsu, depending on the availability. The options are very diverse. The vegetables are not just cabbage, but are beautifully arranged with a variety of colors. Everything I tried was delicious.

Happy New Year! Thank you for your continued support this year. For lunch on December 13th, I went to Emitei in Kitahama, a restaurant known for its kushikatsu (deep-fried skewers). The restaurant has a lovely exterior and a nice atmosphere inside, but unfortunately, they used to only open for dinner. However, they recently started serving lunch, so I was excited to finally try it out. The interior is counter seating only, and it has a calm and elegant vibe. There are two lunch options available: the Kushikatsu set for 850 yen and the Kushikatsu donburi for 800 yen. I chose the Kushikatsu set. The kushikatsu was served hot and looked delicious! The set included 6 types of kushikatsu, rice, miso soup, onsen tamago (soft-boiled egg), salad, and pickles. I started with a bite of the kushikatsu - there were shishito peppers, shrimp, lotus root, pork, turnip, and chicken, if I remember correctly. They were served with a rich sauce and ponzu sauce. The batter was light and crispy. My favorite was the turnip - it was simmered in a flavorful broth and wrapped in bacon for an extra kick. The contrast between the tender turnip and the crispy batter was amazing. I could eat 10 of those! The rice was also cooked perfectly. I asked for a second helping, and they graciously gave me extra rice for free. For the second bowl, I tried it with a soft-boiled egg on top. The miso soup had a nice aroma of seaweed. Overall, the meal was delicious. If I had to nitpick, I would say that it felt a bit too light and refined, lacking in volume. But for most people, especially women or those with a normal appetite, the portion size should be sufficient. I would love to come back for dinner to try more of their creative kushikatsu options.
