I found this restaurant open on New Year's Eve. It is located in a corner where many eateries line up on the east side of Juso Station. It was quite crowded as there are not many restaurants open on New Year's Eve night. I made a reservation and managed to secure a table, but many groups were being turned away. The menu mainly consists of drinks and most food items priced at 280 yen each. It's surprising that they can still operate at this price point. We ordered fried oysters, rolled omelette, avocado carpaccio, sweet shrimp and salmon sashimi, squid tempura, pork kimchi, pickled mustard greens fried rice, grilled pork belly, green onion with meat skewers, meatballs, and cheese mochi. Everything was reasonably delicious, and even with all these dishes, it only cost around 3,000 yen per person. It's a cost-effective restaurant.

My wife is directionally challenged. She can drive a car just fine, but she gets lost easily when taking the train. We had arranged to meet at Hankyu Tsukaguchi Station. Hankyu Tsukaguchi is located on the Hankyu Kobe Line, almost halfway between Nishinomiya Kitaguchi and Umeda. If you're coming from Takarazuka, you can take the Imazu Line to Nishinomiya Kitaguchi, then transfer to the train bound for Umeda and get off at Tsukaguchi. Unfortunately, my wife accidentally took the train bound for Kobe Sannomiya from Nishinomiya Kitaguchi, causing a bit of a mix-up. On the day of our meeting at Juso Higashiguchi, she was nowhere to be seen, so I called her and found out she was waiting at the west exit. Juso Kaigan House is located just a minute away from the Juso ticket gate, on the left at the first three-way intersection after entering the shopping street from the east exit. I had discovered this restaurant when I came here for fugu before. It was around 6 p.m., and there were no other customers yet. I took a seat at the central counter (they have six counter seats, and when you include the tatami seating, they can accommodate up to 50 people). The prices are all set at 280 yen, making it easy to calculate. Here's what I had today: - Appetizers x2 - Beers x3 - Tuna sashimi - Scallop sashimi - Potato fries - Okonomiyaki The appetizers and scallops were just okay, especially the scallops which I felt were better bought from a supermarket. The appetizers seemed a bit lacking in both taste and portion size. The chicken cartilage was different from what I had imagined, so it was a bit disappointing. The tuna and okonomiyaki, on the other hand, were good. For 280 yen each, it's not bad, but when you consider that higher prices usually mean better quality, you start to crave something more distinctive.

(October 2010 night) We were wandering around Juso looking for a place to eat on a Sunday night when we stumbled upon this place and decided to go in. There was only one other couple inside, but the food was quite good. Although it said everything was 280 yen, there were a few items that cost more. They had a variety of dishes, including some unique ones like shark cartilage with plum. We ordered a few dishes, ate and drank to our heart's content, and ended up paying around 4500 yen for the two of us. It was a reasonable price.

I used this restaurant after the Yodogawa Fireworks Festival. I thought the train would be crowded right after the fireworks, so I decided to go to this restaurant. The area near the station was already busy with people heading to the station, but I was lucky to get a seat. However, it quickly became full. I don't usually drink in Juso, but the fact that the menu is 280 yen near the station was appealing. However, what left an impression on me about this restaurant was the poor staff organization. It's a fireworks festival, so I think they should have expected it to be crowded. Yet, they were not good at guiding customers to their seats. Even though the customers were already paying, they easily said it was full and asked them to leave, when they could have easily prepared a seat if they just waited a bit. I thought it was a waste, even though I'm not the manager. It's natural for mistakes to happen when the staff writes down the orders by hand. Another staff member came to check if all the orders were taken, so personally, there weren't any delays. The food was delicious, such as the garlic skewers and the tofu salad, which was ranked number one on the best-selling list. The amount for 280 yen was surprising, and it was tasty. I also ordered chicken nanban and yam okonomiyaki. The yam was a bit frozen, but for 280 yen, it was understandable. The cost-performance was good, and the food was decent. This seems like a place to come for a quick drink on days other than this.

Thirteen Station, East Exit ☆ Just in front of it, on the left side of Mister Donut, go straight ahead into the shopping street. Then, turn left at the second corner to find a seafood izakaya, Thirteen Uminoie. [June 2009] I visited after a long time. Had dinner first and then had a light drink with draft beer and a few dishes. Draft beer, chu-hi for 280 yen each. All items are now priced at 280 yen, which is very reasonable. If you want to enjoy casually in Thirteen Station, try Torikizoku Thirteen store or Fugudon Fukadon. You can have a blowfish hot pot for 980 yen or blowfish sashimi for 680 yen. [December 2007, December 2008] Hankyu Thirteen Station, just before Osaka Umeda Station. A deep town where men gather. For some reason, I am attracted to this town and often visit. Thirteen is known as the hometown of Ulfuls. Do you know that? There is also a live house where they used to perform. There are many casual and enjoyable shops here, where you can taste various Kansai flavors. Thirteen Uminoie, a seafood izakaya. I first visited in December 2007 when it had just opened. Found this place on Gurunavi with colleagues for a casual outing. Draft beer for 290 yen! Chu-hi for 320 yen (recommended with black tea). Small dishes starting from 180 yen, with a wide variety of menu options to choose from. Although small in size, there are many different dishes to enjoy, which is delightful. Beef tendon stew, ground Vienna sausage, rolled omelet starting from 280 yen. Fatty salmon, various small dishes for 280 yen. Cold yellowtail, seafood potato salad, garlic chicken gizzards, beef tendon stew, collagen extract for beauty, shark cartilage with plum dressing, and cheese fry for 380 yen. Plenty of seafood yakisoba with squid, salmon, octopus, and more for 580 yen. Table seating for up to 8 people in a tatami room. Counter seats where you can enjoy your meal immediately are also popular. For parties, there is a 90-minute all-you-can-drink option starting from 2980 yen. The staff at this restaurant are very warm and welcoming. Just a heads up, the restroom is located outside, right next to the back door of the building.

The sashimi is fresh and delicious. I didn't expect much from the taste because the atmosphere of the restaurant is a bit cheap (sorry!), but it was quite good! However, the prices are surprisingly not cheap, which is a downside. It's a nice place to have a casual drink.
