When asked, the staff said that the shop has been open for 8 years. Unfortunately, I didn't notice until this day (;∀;) It's a small shop with a narrow entrance, mainly for takeout but also has seating for dining in. Inside, there are 5 counter seats and a refrigerator in the back with drinks. They also offer evening hours. In the showcase near the entrance, there are cute "temari sushi" displayed. The prices range from 65 yen to 85 yen, excluding the 60 yen salt onigiri. The dine-in bento menu includes the following options: ■ Small bento: 450 yen ■ One-coin bento: 500 yen ■ Volume bento: 650 yen ■ Colorful bento: 700 yen I chose the Volume bento, which includes 6 temari sushi and 4 side dishes. It's recommended to have 1 salt onigiri and then choose 5 more from the showcase. I selected "Ume Hiyashi (75 yen)," "Salmon (85 yen)," and "Spicy Cod Roe (85 yen)" from the top row, and "Corn (65 yen)" and "Ohagi (75 yen)" from the bottom row. Each piece is about the size of a golf ball. According to the staff, 2 pieces are equivalent to 1 convenience store onigiri. It's definitely a small portion, but perfect for a light lunch. The ohagi was a great dessert option. The side dishes were well-balanced with stir-fried, grilled, and salad items. It's a unique shop for sure. I regret not knowing about it sooner, despite it being so close by. I paid quickly with PayPay. Bon appétit.

Today's lunch is from the 3G lunch series, just a simple takeout from "TEMARIYA Minamihonmachi store." I ordered the handmade bento box with 4 temari sushi and side dishes for 620 yen. The temari sushi includes one with salt and the rest with various fillings like chicken and vegetables, all very healthy and colorful. The temari sushi is individually wrapped in plastic wrap for hygiene. The salt temari sushi had a nice rice flavor, the plum was just the right amount of sour, the corn had a nice aroma, and the chicken mixed rice was the highlight. Overall, it was a healthy and satisfying lunch. The soup, a well-known convenience store brand, was also delicious. Thank you.

This hand-rolled rice ball is designed to be eaten in one bite, allowing you to enjoy various flavors. It stays delicious even when cold, with a chewy texture and beautiful presentation, making it a perfect souvenir. The rice is carefully selected from four different types, including Homsenmai Mai from Tajima, Koshihikari, and Hino Hikari from Nara. The dishes I tried were: Mixed rice ball (80 yen) - visually appealing and tasty, Chicken minced rice ball (70 yen) - topped with charcoal-grilled chicken flavor, Salmon rice ball (75 yen) - perfect balance of rice and salmon flakes, Kombu rice ball (65 yen) - best match of rice and chopped kombu, and Takana rice ball (60 yen) - spicy pickled mustard greens. All of them were delicious even when cold, and I couldn't resist having more than one bite. I also tried today's soup, pork miso soup (120 yen), which was compact but packed with plenty of ingredients and tasted great. This review also reveals that a new, voluminous rice ball will be available at the kiosk in Shin-Osaka in March. Personally, I recommend the wooden box set of rice balls as a souvenir. Enjoy!

This is a slightly unusual onigiri specialty store. The onigiri here are small in size, so even women can enjoy a variety of flavors. It's like the onigiri version of hand-rolled sushi. They are very cheap, starting at 50 yen each, with most priced at 60 yen. They also sell small side dishes, making it a great option for a proper lunch. You can take out or eat in, and on this day, I decided to eat in. When you enter the store, you will see a showcase with many onigiri lined up. I carefully selected five and got a side dish pack. It's great that you can choose the main dish and side dish for the set. Five onigiri and a side dish pack for 530 yen! So cheap! Now, let's sit at the counter. I chose chicken soboro onigiri for 70 yen, mixed vegetable onigiri for 80 yen, edamame onigiri for 60 yen, corn onigiri for 60 yen, and wakame seaweed onigiri for 60 yen. The side dish pack I chose had teriyaki chicken and sesame green beans. The onigiri are bite-sized, but it's a waste to eat them in just one bite. I want to savor each one, so I eat each in two bites. Despite their small size, the rice is rich in starch and has a sweet flavor, making them delicious. The amount of ingredients used is just right and doesn't overpower the rice. Each filling is tasty. These onigiri are definitely worth trying. The dishes in the side dish pack were also good. They had a homely warmth to them and were delicious. I wasn't too hungry, so the amount was just right and it was satisfyingly cheap! Thank you for the meal!

I visited the bar at night! The staff were very friendly and kind, so I was able to relax and enjoy my time there. The food, including the temari onigiri, gyoza, and pasta, was delicious! The onigiri was handmade with different types of rice each day, making them not only beautiful and elegant but also very tasty! I would love to go back and eat there again.

The place is not great, but the one-piece, 70 yen bite-sized food is delicious.

Located near the workplace in Osaka Honmachi, I discovered a shop called "TEMARIYA", a specialty store for hand-rolled rice balls. Inspired by small ball-shaped sushi called "temari sushi", these bite-sized rice balls are made using recommended grains from a rice store for that season, with a subtle overall flavor. The hand-rolled rice balls are reasonably priced at 50-70 yen each. They also offer bento boxes with side dishes, popular among office workers for takeout, but dining in is also an option. In the evening, they serve a variety of daily rice dishes that pair well with alcohol, such as fried rice with cheese on top using rice balls in dashi tea. Some of their popular options include salmon rice ball, spicy cod roe rice ball, edamame rice ball, chicken minced rice ball, corn rice ball, and a hearty pork miso soup for 100 yen. Enjoying a healthy lunch like this once in a while is also nice, isn't it?

When the shutter of our store opens at 8 a.m., despite it being early in the morning, more than 10 small handball-sized rice balls are already made. I thought it was only for takeout in the morning, but I found out that you can also eat inside at the counter. I chose five types: salmon, spicy cod roe, simmered hijiki seaweed, pickled mustard greens, and minced chicken. The rice balls wrapped in plastic wrap were served on a plate, and they were surprisingly cute in size. I unwrapped them and took a bite, and each one was just the right size to eat in two bites without any difficulty. It's attractive to be able to enjoy five different flavors of rice balls in the morning. It would be perfect if there was miso soup, but apparently, they only serve rice balls in the morning. In Honmachi, it was common to have delicious udon shops for breakfast, but finding another breakfast spot has added to the morning enjoyment. That was the highlight of this discovery. Thank you for the meal.

When I searched for onigiri shops, I found a cute onigiri shop straight ahead from Honmachi Station. They offer classic options like salmon onigiri for 80 yen, mentaiko onigiri for 80 yen, and yakisoba onigiri for 85 yen, as well as daily specials like edamame onigiri for 65 yen and three types of ohagi. The shop also turns into a bar at night, but you can easily buy onigiri for takeout as the onigiri showcase is right by the entrance. I thought the shop owner or staff would be a woman due to the cute atmosphere, but it was actually a very friendly and approachable male owner who even helped me arrange the onigiri for a better photo. The salmon onigiri was delicious with a mix of salmon flakes and sliced salmon on top, providing a balanced flavor. I also tried the cheese and bonito onigiri, which had a mild taste with cheese on top. The yakisoba onigiri had a good balance of ingredients like rice, chicken, carrots, burdock root, salt, kelp tea, shimeji mushrooms, konjac, fried tofu, ginger, and soy sauce, resulting in a flavorful broth. I bought the ohagi with kinako and sesame, and found the sesame variety unique with red bean paste inside and a sesame coating, similar to Chinese sesame balls but not fried, making it a healthy and moist option. The owner mentioned they use carefully selected rice, ensuring delicious rice in all their products. When I asked about the expiration date, even though I visited late in the evening after dinner, he recommended consuming them by the end of the day for the best taste, showing his kind intention for customers to enjoy their high-quality rice. Thank you for the meal.

I had udon noodles at this restaurant, and they had a variety of small rice balls lined up. I chose 10 of them to purchase, and also got one ohagi. The rice balls were small, so they were easy to eat. They had a wide variety of options, and that day's rice was Hinohikari from Nara Prefecture. They also had side dishes and miso soup available, making it a good option for a quick bite when you're a little hungry!

Just by looking at it, the "Temari Sushi" is sparkling and glamorous. It's not easy to casually enjoy it for lunch, but I found a shop called TEMARIYA Minamihonmachi that serves "Temari Onigiri". These bite-sized small "Temari Onigiri" cost between 50-70 yen each, with around 10 varieties available daily. The shop has a showcase at the entrance like a traditional Japanese sweets shop, and there are counter seats at the back where you can eat in. The prices are as follows: - Standard: 50 yen for Salt (recommended by the shop! Daily changing rice variety), 60 yen for Plum, Kombu, Edamame, Corn, Ohagi, Kinako, 70 yen for Salmon, Spicy Cod Roe, Chicken Soboro - Seasonal and daily specials (60-100 yen): Conger eel, Wakame seaweed, Sea bream rice, Chestnut rice, Stir-fried dishes, Pilaf dishes, etc. - Set items (contents cannot be chosen): 6 pieces for 350 yen (equivalent to 370-390 yen), 8 pieces for 450 yen (equivalent to 490-520 yen) I made a reservation and visited the shop around 7 pm on a weekday. I used a coupon this time, so I got my favorite 8 varieties for 450 yen reduced to 270 yen. The flavors I got were Ume, Spicy Cod Roe (2), Chicken Soboro, Tuna and Paprika Pilaf (daily special), Kinako Ohagi (2), Ohagi. Each Temari Onigiri was small but packed with different flavors, and I surprisingly felt full after trying them all. The shop also offers 100 yen daily soup and 50-90 yen Oden as side dishes. At night, they have a bar where all drinks are 300 yen, serving homemade appetizers and snacks. I'm curious about the dashi tea pickles and fried rice made with onigiri. Rice lovers and onigiri enthusiasts should definitely give it a try!
