A popular item for 200 yen is the crispy red bean paste-filled skin, with a satisfying crunch that is perfect for ASMR. The red bean paste is moist and richly sweet, making it a delightful treat. The round shape of the taiyaki is adorable! I love it so much. Thank you for the delicious meal, a great new addition to the food scene. Happy!

I ordered a custard taiyaki for 210 yen and ate it right away. The custard was packed in the middle. It was a bit firm. The sweetness was just right, not too sweet. The crust was crispy and chewy. Personally, I thought it was the most delicious taiyaki I have ever had in Fukuoka. I also received a discount coupon, so I want to eat it again!

The round taiyaki has the same amount of filling no matter where you bite into it, making it satisfying for red bean lovers. I took it home and reheated it, and the thin skin became crispy and fragrant, which I personally enjoyed. There was also a salty version with mentaiko inside the taiyaki. I forgot to take a picture, but it was like a savory okonomiyaki sandwiched between the taiyaki skin. The amount of mentaiko was just right, and it was delicious until the last bite.

I went to a store that opened in Hakata in March based on the reviews of people I follow. I bought the Yame matcha and red bean flavors. The crust was crispy, and both fillings were delicious. In particular, the Yame matcha filling had a subtle tea aroma that I highly recommend. I ate them right after purchasing, but I couldn't help but think they would have been even more delicious if they were freshly baked.

When returning on the Shinkansen, I always stop by a taiyaki shop near my usual waiting spot at the station to do some shopping. My daughter wanted to try taiyaki, so we bought some at the shop in the station. The taiyaki was small but had a cute shape, with a slightly chewy dough filled with plenty of sweet red bean paste. It was quite tasty. While I usually enjoy umegae mochi, the taiyaki was just right to satisfy a small hunger.

A taiyaki shop opened on March 15th at the souvenir corner outside Hakata Station's ticket gate, called Maing. It is located next to the Ume Gaeshi Mochi shop, and there are benches nearby. I purchased the Hakata limited edition taiyaki, mentaiko flavor, for 250 yen including tax. They also have taiyaki with fillings like red bean paste, white bean paste with custard, and Yame matcha bean paste. The taiyaki is round in shape and I have seen this type of taiyaki at Kiyama PA and in the shopping streets of Amakusa as well. This taiyaki is a savory type with kanefuku mentaiko and potato salad inside. Potato salad and mentaiko in a taiyaki sounds delicious. It's perfect for when you're feeling a bit peckish.

This is a taiyaki shop that opened in the Minami building at Hakata Station. I found it when I bought a bento at Hakata Station the other day and decided to visit later. The shop was selling five different flavors of taiyaki that day. I bought three types of taiyaki from them. The flavors I chose were: custard cream for 200 yen, green tea red bean paste for 200 yen, and mentaiko (spicy cod roe) potato salad for 250 yen. The taiyaki they sell have a distinctive round shape. The taiyaki has a crispy surface, freshly baked. The mentaiko taiyaki contains potato salad made with Kanefuku's mentaiko. The shop is located in the Minami building at Hakata Station. Tai and An Minami Shop Address: 1-1 Hakata Ekimae, Hakata-ku, Fukuoka City Phone: 092-457-5505 Business hours: 9:00-21:00 Closed on New Year's Day (please note) Prices, business hours, and holidays are as of the time of visit, so please confirm with the store before visiting.

A new brand, TAI TO AN, created by the long-established Yame confectionery shop Takashodo, has opened in the Minami Wing of Hakata Station. They offer a taiyaki in the shape of a round sea bream, called "mentai taiyaki" for 250 yen. It is a special treat with mentaiko from Kanefuku inside, without any sweet bean paste. Highly recommended for tourists!

There is a new taiyaki shop in Maring, run by Takashokudo from Yame, as seen on the register screen. Takashokudo is known for their delicious matcha sweets, but this time I was intrigued by the Fukuoka specialty, mentaiko taiyaki. The taiyaki, made with Kanefuku's mentaiko, had a realistic fish shape but was round and cute. The filling had a creamy texture like okonomiyaki or takoyaki, with a slightly spicy mentaiko sauce that was delicious. The thin crispy skin and non-sweet batter made it suitable for a savory snack as well. I preferred it over "Muccham Manju" in that aspect. The service was friendly and attentive. Just like the tea shop I reviewed before, Maring was crowded with tourists, but this zone was surprisingly not busy, perhaps because it is tucked away without walls. It turned out to be a hidden gem.

I found this place when I went to Hakata Station looking for souvenirs. It seems they opened on 3/15. I was curious about the mentaiko (spicy cod roe) so I decided to buy it. I searched to find out where the main store is, and it's in Yame City. Their website shows that they are a long-established store selling various traditional Japanese sweets. I bought three taiyaki: mentaiko (¥250), custard (¥210), and red bean paste (¥200). The total was ¥660 (tax included). The taiyaki are round in shape, which is interesting. But I actually like the tail part. (^0^;) The face has a strong presence, doesn't it? lol
- Mentaiko (¥250): It has a small amount of mentaiko in the center, and it's not filled with red bean paste but more like okonomiyaki (savory pancake). The skin is thin, so if you lightly heat it in a toaster, it becomes crispy and has a good texture.
- Custard (¥210): It's mildly sweet, which I like.
- Red Bean Paste (¥200): It has a moderate sweetness with a firm texture of the beans.
I don't usually buy taiyaki, but since it's available in the souvenir section of Hakata Station and has an interesting shape, it might be good as a gift.

Just like the Lalaport store, this shop also sells products made with mentaiko, including mentaiko taiyaki for 250 yen. The mentaiko taiyaki, with its octopus-like filling, had a different image from regular taiyaki, but it was delicious. Located inside the Maring building directly connected to Hakata Station, this shop is convenient to access. Check out more details here: https://namiweb0703.com/taitoan-maingu/. The custard was sweet and delicious! The round shape was cute. I was lucky to get a freshly made one since they were sold out, and it was delicious while still hot. Thank you for the meal!
