This is a review I have visited several times. I love Gurufa-san, a grilled sandwich shop. Currently, they accept cash and PayPay. Perhaps due to the proximity of art museums and hotels, it seems to attract solo diners and foreign customers rather than business lunches. The voluminous sandwiches provide a foreign feel, while also showcasing the meticulous work and dedication of the Japanese creators. It has become my favorite place. Despite being full, they only allow a maximum of 5 guests, so I prefer to visit after 1 pm to avoid the lunch rush. The menu features the classic parsley butter cheeseburger sandwich and ethnic omelette sandwich, as well as two limited-time sandwich options. The sandwiches are made with bread specially ordered from a renowned bakery, and are toasted to crispy perfection with homemade butter (herb or lemon flavored) and filled with a variety of ingredients. In addition, I used to think the only side options were potato or soup, but I was delighted to discover that in spring and summer, you can choose between potato or salad. I wish they had more drink and dessert options though. I am very curious about the evening menu side dishes like "veggie potato" and drinks with rum raisin ice cream. But for now, I want to conquer their weekday lunch menu first. I will continue to come running. Thank you for the delicious meals!

This is a review of a grill sandwich shop that I have visited several times and am hooked on. They accept cash, PayPay, and LINE Pay. While there are burger shops and sandwich/toast shops within lunch range, this lovely shop is the only one that grills sandwiches on an iron plate, and even uses homemade flavored butter with parsley and lemon. The interior has 3 counter seats, 1 table set (2 seats), and is minimalistic. There are hooks for bags at your feet and hangers on the wall.
Items I have tried include the Cheeseburger Sandwich with parsley butter for 1,200 yen, the Roast Pork with Green Hummus and Red Onion Jam Sandwich for 1,200 yen, the Croque Monsieur with a hint of mushrooms for 1,200 yen, and the French Toast with lemon butter for 800 yen. The background music is mellow and soothing. Side menu options include potatoes or soup. The carefully made grill sandwiches are hot and full of ingredients, making for a happy lunchtime experience. The bread is a special order from "Manpuku Bakery" in Kitahama, and while it is not thick, it has a perfect crispy texture that allows you to taste the ingredients directly. The kitchen is close by, so you can hear the sounds of cooking which adds to the atmosphere. They also grind their own coffee beans, so Americano or cafe latte are delicious accompaniments to the sandwiches.
Based on other reviews, it seems they have 2 standard menu items (Ethnic Omelette Sandwich and Cheeseburger Sandwich) as well as seasonal limited edition and dessert items. I wish they also offered salad sometimes when I want it, in addition to potatoes and soup. The space is small and fills up quickly, and the proximity of other customers can be a bit concerning at times. However, I will continue to visit as the sandwiches are always delicious! Thank you for the amazing sandwiches every time!

♪Let's eat a sandwich♪ (sung by Toshihiko Shinzawa) I found a cozy little cafe called "Gurufa" on the first floor of the "Kaeru-chan" that I visited before! It's run by two lovely young ladies, and they kindly remind customers to keep their voices down while dining. The Ethnic Omelette Sandwich is priced at 900 yen including tax. It's delicious with a spicy omelette filled with onions, bell peppers, ham, lettuce, and cheese, all sandwiched between nicely toasted bread! And there's plenty of crispy fried potatoes on the side! It's like a hamburger, so you can just pick it up and take a big bite!

On a very cold day, I changed the side of potatoes to minestrone soup, which was hot and delicious, warming me up. The parsley butter cheese sandwich grilled on an iron plate was also delicious. The coffee after the meal was tasty too! I would like to try other menu items as well. Thank you for the meal!
