Located in a narrow alley just north of Ushinohone Another, there are four shops belonging to the Ushinohone Group. The restaurant offers counter seating and a second floor. I tried the smoked amberjack with golden turnip and yuzu-flavored turnip jelly, which was delicious with the tangy flavor of turnip and the refreshing jelly. The Jerusalem artichoke flan with lily bulb potage was also a standout dish with a strong truffle flavor. I was impressed by the organic black carrots, yuzu, and swordtip squid with karasumi. The duck ballotine with winter leek declinazon was tasty, and the three different ways the leeks were prepared added an interesting touch. Next, I tried a dish cooked in heat-resistant film resembling macaroni, with cod milt and sauce cartafalda. The cold-smoked mackerel with celery root paste sauce and grilled black radish slices was delicious. The Wagyu rib roast steak with leaf cabbage, lotus root, and seigoin kabura was also a hit. The two types of salt with wasabi for the meat and vegetables were particularly tasty. The mackerel cooked in a vacuum with risotto curry was unique, but I personally found the curry unnecessary. I forgot to take a photo of the dessert, but the sorbet, banana cake, and apple and pistachio ice cream were enjoyable. Overall, considering the price, I found the value for money to be good. The set menu changes monthly and features French cuisine. I would definitely like to visit again.

The smoked autumn salmon, grilled risotto, red snapper with autumn eggplant and matsutake mushrooms were all delicious, but the highlight was definitely the black wagyu rib roll steak served with seasonal grilled vegetables. I think it was topped with balsamic vinegar sauce.

Each dish was a pleasant surprise, from the corn declension to the chilled flan of young ayu, grilled knerl of conger eel, sea bass by Gastrobac, along with clams, artichokes, and black rice risotto (served in a cartafata pouch)… The dessert was also perfect. A delightful hidden gem of a Nouvelle Cuisine restaurant in a back alley. I will definitely visit again.

Everything was incredibly delicious. I was surprised by the level of quality at this price. If I were to eat this in Umeda, I feel like it would easily cost around 10,000 yen... Some restaurants that slightly obsess over ingredients may lack cohesion, but this restaurant skillfully brings out the goodness of each ingredient, combines them, and creates complex deliciousness. The sweetness of the meat paired perfectly with the Western-style wasabi, making my cheeks tingle. The dessert was also satisfying, with a variety of small bites served. The homemade sangria and ginger ale were unique with their spicy flavors. The location might be a bit hard to find, but it had a cozy hidden gem vibe, and I definitely want to visit again.

The restaurant name is very unique. The dishes are quite good for the price, although the speed of service could be improved. The orange juice was delicious, but the mango juice was average. The turnip jelly with yuzu flavor was impressive. The Jerusalem artichoke flan was the best dish, with complex flavors. The grilled organic black carrots were a surprising highlight. The duck ballotine was a bit too duck-heavy. The rest of the dishes were good but not exceptional. Overall, the food was meticulously prepared and impressive for the price.

It was my friend's birthday, so we went for lunch at this new place. It's a bit hidden in a narrow alley, but has a cozy and nice atmosphere. We were a bit lost but managed to make a reservation for the counter seats. It was great to see the open kitchen from there! The lunch course options were all delicious and suited my taste. The dishes, perfect for wine or sake, were not only tasty but also beautifully presented. The staff were very friendly, and I will definitely come back again. The cost performance is excellent, highly recommended. Thank you for the wonderful meal! ♡

This was my first visit to this restaurant, based on a friend's recommendation. The location was like a hidden gem, perfect for adults, and I personally loved this kind of atmosphere. The exterior and ambiance left a great impression. We opted for the chef's course menu, and every dish was delicious with beautiful presentation. We had a wonderful time enjoying the tasty food together. The wine pairing from the second glass onwards was perfect and the wine selection was top-notch. I now have another restaurant on my list to revisit.

I stayed around Sanjo in Kyoto. For dinner, I went to a restaurant called Jizai near the hotel. It has a Kyoto vibe and is a new restaurant that opened last year. They mainly serve teppanyaki dishes. It is one of the restaurants operated by Ushinohone Group, a subsidiary of Sekandais Co., Ltd. Today, Kyoto is under epidemic prevention measures, so alcohol is only served until 8 p.m. I made a reservation for an early time. I will be dining at the counter. The friendly manager made a good impression. I looked at the drink menu, which I heard has a wide selection of wines. I started with a Kirin beer, my favorite brand in bottles. As I looked at the menu, I imagined the story in my head.
Live sea urchin with wild watercress, Kamo tomato sorbet
The dish is served in a unique vessel with corn espuma, offering a variety of flavors. The coldness was refreshing on a hot day. The crispy texture was a nice touch.
Squid and Kaga thick cucumber capellini with ginger jelly and ayu rillettes
The thinly sliced squid resembled capellini pasta. The olive oil and ginger flavor matched well. The dish was served in a beautifully crafted vessel.
Green soybean flan with calm pork and rice eggplant tartare, gaspacho
The flan made with green soybeans was fragrant and delicious. The pork was flavorful and the rice eggplant balanced the dish well. The gaspacho tartare was unexpected but tasty.
Blackthroat sea perch meuniere with seafood foam and new burdock sauce
The sea perch was perfectly crispy on the outside and tender inside. The new burdock sauce had a distinctive flavor that complemented the dish.
Black Wagyu rib roast and domestic beef fillet
A comparison of two types of meat! The rib roast had a wonderful aroma and great texture, while the fillet was incredibly tender. Both meats were exceptional and complemented each other well.
Simmered conger eel and truffle risotto in omurice style
A Japanese-style omurice with conger eel. The dish was delicious with the presence of eel and the hint of sansho leaf, giving it a Japanese twist.
Dessert platter with vegetable cheesecake and sweet potato pudding
The vegetable cheesecake reduced the guilt of indulging. The tiramisu was delicious, and the sweet potato pudding was excellent. It was a delightful dining experience. The meal was worth the price, and I look forward to returning.

The taste and variety of dishes were both excellent. The only concern I had was that even though I had made a reservation for the counter, I was seated at a table instead. I couldn't help but notice that the counter was occupied by what seemed like regular customers. I wondered if regular customers were given priority over those with reservations. When I looked at the table, I saw only people in their 20s. I hope it was just a misunderstanding, but I couldn't help but suspect that regular customers might be squeezed into the counter later. I was disappointed not to be able to see the food being prepared at the counter.
