I enjoyed Osaka at night and before going to bed at the hotel, I felt like eating takoyaki, so I went to Yumeya nearby! The recommended item from the staff was the Senbero Set for 1,000 yen! Huh? Takoyaki (choose from 6 or 9 pieces) or chicken karaage with two drinks for 1,000 yen!? Isn't that too good to be true..(^^) I chose takoyaki with chuhai, and my companion chose karaage with beer! The Senbero Set for 1,000 yen was amazing. The freshly baked takoyaki had a crispy outer layer and was filled with plenty of tempura scraps, giving it a unique texture and delicious taste! The karaage was also large and juicy. This is such a great deal, I can't believe it..I am grateful for the amazing price! I will definitely come back again someday♩

I moved from Osaka to Tokyo, but had a business trip to Kobe. At the limousine bus stop at Itami Airport. Now, should I go straight to Sannomiya, head to Osaka Station and have a drink around the 4th building, or maybe go to Shin-Osaka? Oh, I'll say hi to my former colleagues and have that takoyaki. Among these choices, I ended up taking the limousine bus to Shin-Osaka, even though my hotel is in Sannomiya. That's how good this takoyaki is. You can't find it anywhere else. It's a unique taste. The salt mayonnaise is amazing. Not crispy on the outside, but "gari", and soft on the inside. Really delicious. The "senbero" set is too good for the price. They could charge more. I wish I had discovered this hidden gem sooner during my time in Osaka. I think the takoyaki here is the best in Osaka. It was a feast.

This is a small, privately owned takoyaki (octopus balls) shop located in front of Higashi-Yodogawa Station. They bake the takoyaki right in front of you, and you can also eat inside the shop. You can choose between 6, 9, or 12 takoyaki pieces. They offer different flavors like sauce, soy sauce, salt, and ponzu, but the recommended one was salted mayonnaise, so I tried that. Interestingly, they have all the condiments available on the table, so if you eat inside, you can order them plain and season them yourself, which is quite fun. Besides takoyaki, they also have other menu items like fried chicken. I ordered the "senbero set" for 1000 yen, which comes with 2 drinks (other than beer, like highball or chu-hi) and 9 pieces of takoyaki, so I leisurely enjoyed drinking and eating on a lazy afternoon. You have to wait a few minutes for the takoyaki to be cooked after ordering, but they were crispy on the outside in Osaka style, and it felt like a great deal.

The takoyaki is hot and freshly cooked, quite large in size with a crispy exterior and creamy interior. There is a generous amount of tempura scraps, giving it a crunchy texture, but also making it a bit heavy due to the oil content. The broth is flavorful, so it's tasty even without any additional toppings, but there are various condiments on the table for you to customize your takoyaki. I found that 9 pieces were quite filling. Overall, it was a satisfying meal! The master was friendly and welcoming. Compared to the takoyaki shops inside Shin-Osaka Station about 500 meters away, the prices here are much more affordable. So, if you walk about 6 minutes from the north exit of Shin-Osaka Station, you can enjoy the Osaka vibe at this place.

12 pieces for 600 yen. The outside is crispy, while the inside is tender with a mix of soy sauce and salt flavors, slightly on the salty side but with a good dashi taste. Delicious! Thank you for the meal.

The takoyaki shop Tenkasu, which also serves senbero, has generously-sized portions and is incredibly delicious. Today, the drinks are going down smoothly!
