I am very satisfied with the daily set meal offered at this Japanese restaurant. The atmosphere of the restaurant is great, and the daily set meal in the photo for 1,200 yen (tax included) is a good deal! I left feeling full. I would like to use this restaurant for business entertainment as well. I just made it in time to get a seat at 12 o'clock, but by the time I left, the restaurant was full. It seems to be a popular spot among locals. I would like to try the sushi set meal next time.

This is a restaurant located in front of Egata Station on the Kintetsu Nara Line. It was my first time visiting, and despite being a high-quality sushi restaurant, several local families were dining there. I enjoyed delicious sushi and had a fun time listening to various stories about the fish. I would love to visit this restaurant again if I have the chance.

I went to "Komazushi" in Higashi Osaka, which is quite difficult to reach. I had made a reservation for 5:00 PM and decided to try their sashimi, particularly the "Kue" fish. The last time I had Kue was over 30 years ago when my father wanted to serve it at a year-end party but couldn't find it, so we ended up going to a market in search of it. The Kue sashimi at the restaurant was beautifully presented on a large plate. I also ordered a variety of other sashimi dishes, including scallops and shrimp. The highlight of the restaurant was their extensive selection of Japanese sake. I tried a few different types based on the recommendations of the staff. I also ordered grilled blackthroat seaperch, which was delicious but led me to drink more than I should have. Overall, the food was excellent, and I ended up drinking too much. A friend joined me later, and we ordered tempura and mackerel pressed sushi for his family. We also enjoyed a variety of nigiri sushi before heading home with his son's help as I was quite drunk. The next morning, I regretted drinking so much.

2022: Revisited "Komazushi"♪ in Nara before a concert. Craving sushi, we stopped by this nostalgic restaurant. The clean interior and skilled sushi chefs put us at ease. On Sundays, they only serve sushi, no popular lunch sets. We ordered the assorted sushi set with miso soup for 1200 yen tax included. It was beautifully presented and luxurious! Tuna, squid, shrimp, and eel nigiri, along with Datemaki, battera, 2 pieces of rolled sushi, and squid hot pot. The rice was slightly on the firmer side, but the portions were generous. The squid was particularly delicious and chewy. In the age of conveyor belt sushi, this traditional sushi restaurant is a rare find.

The annual human dock is over! After leaving the hospital, I went straight to a sushi restaurant for a drink. The sushi restaurant I chose for lunch this time is "Komazushi" in Higashi-Osaka. The restaurant is located right next to the ticket gate of Gakuda Station on the Kintetsu Nara Line, just a 30-second walk away. It has a traditional atmosphere with counter seats facing the chef and table seats, as well as private rooms in the back and on the 2nd floor. It is a long-established sushi restaurant that has been in business for 70 years, and the current head chef is the third generation.
Here are the dishes I ate:
- Appetizers: Clam simmered in soy sauce, shad roe, and pickled plum
- Special sashimi platter: Red clam, sea bream sashimi, scallop, shrimp & sea urchin, and fatty tuna
- Simmered golden eye snapper
- Grilled blowfish milt with soy sauce
- Crispy smelt tempura
- Egg omelette
- Fatty tuna and green onion roll
- Sushi: Scallop, swordtip squid, simmered clam, sea urchin, salmon roe
- Dessert: Pink-colored sweet rice cake with black beans and agar jelly
I also bought their specialty "Sakura sushi" as a souvenir. It is a pressed sushi made with sea bream wrapped in salted cherry blossom leaves. The sea bream has a delicate flavor with a hint of cherry blossom aroma, and it was delicious.

It was delicious, so I definitely want to go again. This photo was taken on a weekend, but on weekdays, they offer lunch sets with chawanmushi and simmered dishes, which are healthy, well-balanced, and reasonably priced.

From the time I was a child, there has always been a sushi restaurant in front of Gakuta Station! Amazingly, it has been running for 65 years now with the 3rd generation. When you open the door... oh wow! There is a live fish tank, and a spacious tatami room in the back, a traditional restaurant! There are two dignified sushi chefs in the kitchen. Sushi set meal for 1080 yen including tax♪ Sushi: octopus, tuna, shrimp, squid, sea bream, tekka maki, cucumber roll, oshinko roll. Red miso soup with fish head, chawanmushi, simmered hijiki♪ Large yellowtail collar, hearty chawanmushi, delicious! Simmered bamboo shoots, butterbur, shrimp, konjac, small taro, fruits♪ Nostalgic simmered dishes! It's not a special dish, but it was a satisfying and luxurious lunch (*^_^*)

In the eastern part of Higashi-Osaka City, there is a long-established sushi restaurant. They offer special, premium, and regular sushi sets, as well as chirashi sushi. You can also order individual sushi pieces, with the option to order just one piece of a two-piece set. The restaurant has a large fish tank with live sea bream, horse mackerel, and in this season, pike conger eel swimming inside. They offer a variety of dishes made with these fresh ingredients, and also provide assorted sashimi platters upon request. There are tatami rooms at the back of the restaurant, making it convenient for celebrations and gatherings. They offer delivery and accept reservations, with a parking lot available. During lunchtime, they serve daily specials, sushi sets, and tempura sets at reasonable prices. One of their signature dishes is the cherry blossom sushi, created by the previous owner, which uses cherry leaves and sea bream. The current owner, the second generation, continues to innovate and maintain the restaurant's reputation. With clear pricing, you can enjoy your meal with peace of mind. The photo shows an assorted sushi platter with a cherry blossom sushi in the center.

This is an old-fashioned sushi restaurant located right in front of Kintetsu Hatoda Station. I had the sushi set meal for 1080 yen. While there was nothing notably fresh or outstanding, enjoying a set meal at a quiet, traditional sushi restaurant in the middle of town, complete with red miso soup, simmered shrimp and crab, chawanmushi, and fruit, leaves nothing to complain about. Personally, I felt that the simmered dish was a bit too strong in flavor and would have preferred it to be more lightly seasoned. However, I really enjoyed the chawanmushi and red miso soup. Despite its lack of flashiness, it was a comforting sushi restaurant with a nostalgic atmosphere.

Finally, my long-awaited bonus came out, so my wife and I went to a non-conveyor belt sushi restaurant for lunch. We went to a place called Komazushi in front of Gakuda Station on the Kintetsu Nara Line. The exterior had a traditional sushi restaurant feel. We ordered the sushi set meal. It's available during lunchtime on weekdays and Saturdays, and honestly, the portion for 1,050 yen is quite cheap. The atmosphere inside was calm, and my wife and I had a pleasant time together. While it's nice to eat to your heart's content at a conveyor belt sushi place, enjoying the food itself at a restaurant like this is also nice. I'd like to go back again soon.
