On a leisurely Sunday with nothing particular to do, I decided to go back to "Michi no Eki Tachibana" after finding it closed on a previous Wednesday. My goal was to visit the seafood restaurant "Marumitsu" located in the food court (Shokuchikubai) of the rest area. I made sure to bring a 10% off coupon flyer valid until 9/30. When I arrived at the rest area around 11 am, the parking lot was already full, but luckily the food court was not crowded. I ordered the seafood bowl set at "Marumitsu" with the discount, which included sashimi, miso soup, mini salad, side dish, and fruit for dessert. The presentation of the seafood bowl was beautiful, with intricate details like carrot butterflies and edible flowers. The sashimi was fresh and delicious, with a nice touch of sesame and soy sauce on the side. Overall, the food was well-prepared and tasty, even though the prices were a bit high for a food court. I may not visit specifically for the seafood bowl again, but it's a good option for a delicious meal in the area. The staff was friendly, and I enjoyed my dining experience.

There is a food court-style restaurant called Marumitsu at Michi-no-Eki Tachibana, where you can choose from 5 different Japanese, Western, Chinese, and seafood options. The seating includes tables and counter seats, which are shared among customers. There are self-service drinks like water and tea, as well as shared areas with drinks like iced tea available. I chose the seafood restaurant Marumitsu, which offers fresh seafood directly from Yanagawa Fish Market. They also have a limited seafood dashi tea-soaked dish for ¥700. The staff, including a friendly waitress and energetic owner, provide excellent service. After receiving a buzzer, I secured a seat, washed my hands, and prepared tea, when the buzzer went off promptly. The staff explained to enjoy the sashimi as it is first, then pour soy sauce if desired, and later pour the soup over it. The sashimi was delicious and fresh, with a generous portion. The seafood dashi tea-soaked dish was also tasty and satisfying. Overall, it was a delightful dining experience at Marumitsu.
