In 2016 and 2013, my husband and I visited our favorite restaurant again. The chef, who used to be alone, was now replaced by a young couple, and the prices had gone up. The A lunch set was 1200 yen and included appetizers, bread, soup, and main dishes like pork and eggplant tomato pasta or sausage and poached egg peperoncino. The coffee was good and the portions were generous, but the previous chef's delicate and artistic flavors were missed.
In 2013, the chef was a bit unfriendly but had excellent cooking skills. The pasta set included appetizers like fresh vegetables, quiche, sweetfish, Satsuma simmered dish, and vegetable tomato stew. The salmon and spinach peperoncino was delicious with plenty of salmon and perfectly cooked pasta. The bread and coffee were also noteworthy.
In 2011, we visited a cozy and quiet restaurant converted from an old house. The B lunch set included appetizers, soup, pasta, bread, and coffee, along with a glass of wine. The appetizers were beautifully arranged with octopus vinegar, sweet potato simmered dish, ham, omelet, and vegetable tomato stew. The fresh and crispy raw vegetables were a pleasant surprise. The tomato and basil pasta was light and tasty, while the pork and cabbage peperoncino was slightly salty but flavorful. I love Italian food, but my husband, who dislikes olive oil and cheese, also enjoyed the meal and thanked me for recommending the restaurant.
