I visited the newly opened "Marufuku Ramen, Moriguchi store" near the 100-yen shop by Keihan Moriguchi Station, which I occasionally visit. The store opened on September 17th.
- Arrival time: 12:20 PM
- Crowdedness: 90%
Despite serving very rich ramen, the majority of customers were elderly locals from the area. It's impressive to see the elderly folks in Moriguchi enjoying such rich ramen.
I ordered the pork ball ramen with fried chicken set. It took about 3 minutes for the kimchi to arrive, 15 minutes for the ramen, 20 minutes for the rice, and about 25 minutes for the fried chicken after reminding them. The kitchen seemed to have trouble keeping track of orders, which was a downside.
The soup was visibly thick and gooey, but surprisingly had no unpleasant smell. While I personally prefer rich pork bone soup with a hint of smell, this soup was delicious with its rich taste and thick pork bone flavor. It might become addictive. I'm now curious about the chicken ball ramen (which I don't recall being on the menu before).
The noodles were so coated in the rich soup that it was hard to tell if the soup was clinging to the noodles or the other way around. It felt more like eating a chunk than slurping noodles. The fried chicken, usually a perfect match with kimchi and rice, was quite bland, while the bamboo shoots had a stronger flavor and served as the main side dish.
Since it's a nearby spot, I'll come back to try the chicken ball ramen next time. Thank you for the meal.

Unexpectedly, the chicken soup was sold out. It's lunchtime, what a disappointment. Was today just a bad day? I ended up ordering two types of pork instead. I wanted to eat chicken white soup. I thought I asked for the special, but they brought me the regular one. Did I speak too softly? Was my pronunciation unclear? Hey?
Dorori Butamaru (rich pork bone soy sauce white soup) ¥850
Rich and coats the noodles well. I felt a hint of seafood broth.
Sarari Butamaru (pork bone soy sauce white soup) ¥850
Milky or creamy. The soup has an egg-like taste. A mysterious flavor.
Half fried rice set (with kimchi) ¥250
The best part was the fried rice. It was safe and good. This is what I like.
The rare char siu was pretty good. You can enjoy changing the flavor by adding the table's garlic chives kimchi. But sorry, I'm not a fan.

"[Shiratama Men Specialty Store Marufuku Ramen Moriguchi Branch] When I went after a long time, I noticed that the menu names had changed a bit (*´艸`) "Special Sarari Ton Maru" for 1200 yen. The soup is a pork bone broth with a smooth and light texture on the surface. I was surprised after the first sip! This is so delicious! The rich pork bone flavor is well-crafted with no unpleasant smell, allowing you to fully enjoy the richness. While the thick soup is also tasty, personally, I prefer this lighter flavor. The noodles are thin and slightly twisted straight noodles with a firm texture that complements the rich soup well. They are easy to slurp and delicious. The special char siu comes with 3 slices of pork shoulder loin. It used to be 4 slices before, but it seems they reduced it by 1 slice (lol). The char siu here has a moist texture, great seasoning, and tenderness, which I really like. It's delicious. The flavored egg is also excellent with a perfectly cooked yolk and amazing seasoning. It's delicious!"

On April 1st, after watching an international badminton match at a nearby sports center, I went for a late lunch. Two ramen shops were unexpectedly closed, so I ended up at this place located near the station. The sign didn't look very appealing, to be honest. I arrived around 2 pm and the place was bustling with customers as they were open all day. The order was taken quickly and the food arrived promptly. I ordered the half fried rice set with pork meatballs for 1200 yen, which took about 5-6 minutes. The noodles, although I didn't order them, were a bit firm. The dish came with one slice of pork, about three pieces of bamboo shoots, and the soup was rich as described on the menu, coating the noodles well. I liked the thick texture. The pork was a bit tough, which I also enjoyed. The restaurant was spacious and clean, with both table and counter seating available. I don't plan on visiting again soon, but if I have the chance, I would consider it.

The variety of ramen has become more specialized than before when I visited the store... The options include "dorori pork ball ramen" with a slightly traditional Tenkaippin style and "sarari pork ball ramen" with a foamy appearance. I tried the sarari ramen and it was delicious!! It had a rich flavor yet was light and the thin noodles paired well with it. I also tried a bit of the dorori ramen my companion ordered, which was completely thick and rich - that's my type of ramen! I managed to resist getting an extra serving, but my companion couldn't resist... I understand that feeling! The restaurant is close by so I will definitely visit again.

[Marufuku Ramen, a white broth noodle specialty store in Moriguchi] "Special Pork Ball Ramen" for 1200 yen. The soup is a thick pork bone broth, but it has a smooth texture with no unpleasant smell. It is skillfully made, allowing you to fully enjoy the richness of the pork bone flavor! The soy sauce seasoning is also mild and blends well with the soup, making it delicious. The noodles are thin, slightly twisted straight noodles that have a firm texture and go well with the rich soup. They are easy to slurp and delicious. The special pork slices consist of four slices of pork shoulder loin! The pork slices are moist, well-seasoned, and tender, which is my favorite type. The seasoned egg is also perfectly cooked and seasoned, making it delicious!

Today, I came here to a ramen shop that was renovated a few months ago, changing its name from "Tenkadaichi" located under the elevated tracks near Keihan Moriguchi Station. I was looking forward to it since I really like the Neyagawa branch. The bright and spacious interior has a kitchen space at the back left, a counter with 8 seats along the wall, table seats in the front, and three 4-seater table seats on the right side. The menu offers four types of ramen: "Butamaru, Akabutamaru, Torimaru, and Kurotorimaru," as well as toppings, side dishes, and drinks. I ordered the "Butamaru Ramen & Half Fried Rice Set" and it arrived after a short wait. The soup had a rich and creamy soy sauce flavor that seemed to bring out only the umami of the pork bones. The thin straight noodles paired well with it. The toppings included thinly sliced and tender rare chashu, menma, and green onions. The chashu had a natural flavor and was soft and chewy. I added a lot of spicy leeks from the table condiments, which enhanced the dish even more. The fried rice had a gentle salt and pepper flavor and was delicious. I finished it in no time. The soup seemed to be made in-house, giving it a slightly different impression from the pork bone soy sauce ramen at the Neyagawa branch that I love. Next time, I'll try the "Torimaru Ramen." The service was good. Wheelchair accessible with a restroom equipped with a washlet on the right side. There is no parking available.

The chicken salt ramen for ¥850 and the fried chicken set for ¥250 were disappointing. The fried rice for an additional ¥110 was a nice touch, but it was amateur level at best. The staff seemed to be inexperienced, with one person instructing another who was struggling to make the dishes. The ramen itself was terrible, with the chicken white broth soup being overpowering and unpleasant. It seemed like they used too much chicken and chicken oil, resulting in a strong, unpleasant smell. The broth was too greasy and lacked the necessary seasoning to balance it out. The fried chicken, made with thigh meat, lacked flavor and depth. It seemed like they simply sprinkled a mix of salt, pepper, and other seasonings on the chicken after frying it, resulting in a bland taste. Overall, the dishes were subpar and lacked the quality and flavor expected from a ramen restaurant.

This is a ramen restaurant located under the elevated structure of the Keihan Electric Railway's Moriguchi City Station. They offer two types of base soups: pork bone soy milk and chicken salt milk. I was a bit hesitant at first, but I chose the Chicken Maru Ramen (chicken salt milk) because the pork bone soup seemed quite rich. The atmosphere inside the restaurant was a bit chaotic, and it felt like the orders were not being communicated properly. However, the Chicken Maru Ramen was delicious. They seem to take great care in preparing the soup, starting from a large pressure cooker to a small pot, and then simmering it in a single-handed pot. I thought this method would result in a rich soup.

The ramen shop that opened on the site of the former number one in the world... seems to have changed its brand and started afresh because it is operated by the same company as Marufuku Ramen. I got a free one-year voucher for extra noodles at the opening! Today's menu: Tonkotsu Ramen ¥850. Marufuku Ramen's Neyagawa shop had a menu completely different from the beloved Toro Niku Gutsu. Is it not related to the Tenkaippin series of ramen shops? There are four menu items, divided into Tonkotsu Shoyu White Broth and Chicken Salt White Broth. I chose the Tonkotsu Shoyu White Broth. Noodles: Medium straight noodles, same as Tenkaippin and Marufuku. Soup: Tonkotsu Shoyu White Broth soup. It has a similar taste to a lighter version of Tenkaippin. Maybe the Chicken Salt White Broth is closer to Tenkaippin... Toppings: Menma, green onions, rare chashu. It's disappointing that they don't have the Paika from Tenkaippin or the Toro Niku from Marufuku.

"I visited the newly reopened Marufuku Ramen in Moriguchi on September 17th. This restaurant, formerly known as Tenkaichi Moriguchi, is now part of the Marufuku Ramen chain and is located near Keihan Moriguchi Station. The menu includes Pork Ramen for 850 yen, Chicken Ramen for 850 yen, Special for an additional 150 yen, 3 slices of Chashu for 300 yen, Extra Menma for 50 yen, Flavored Egg for 150 yen, and Extra Noodles for 150 yen. The broth is made from pork bones and has a slightly thick soy sauce base with a smooth soy sauce flavor, rich pork bone umami, and a creamy and flavorful taste. The noodles are straight and thin, providing a good mouthfeel and a nice chewiness. The chashu is tender with a perfect seasoning, allowing the meat's deliciousness to shine through. You can also customize the flavor with pepper, chili oil, and garlic chive kimchi available on the table."

Before I knew it, the top ramen shop in town was Marufuku Ramen, which specializes in white broth. I heard that they have the same management as the top ramen shop. If they are in the same group, I wish they had the all-you-can-eat pickles like the other place. The menu consists of two types of ramen: pork bone white broth and chicken white broth. I couldn't get a large serving of pork bone white broth, so I quickly ordered an extra serving of noodles. The soup is labeled as pork bone white broth, but it's basically pork bone soy sauce broth, which is quite rich in flavor. The noodles are thin and straight, but unfortunately, adding the extra serving of noodles caused the flavor to deteriorate significantly, so I will refrain from doing that in the future. The toppings include large slices of rare char siu and bamboo shoots. The chicken white broth is a basic chicken white broth, and even after adding an extra serving of noodles, it didn't seem to dilute the flavor much. Thank you for the meal.
