There was an event on Sunday at ATC Osaka, so the second parking lot was full before 1pm. People started moving to the first parking lot, which is further away from the restaurant area. I had lunch and when I left the parking lot, there were about 10 cars waiting in line. Since I was on a work lunch break, I went to the nearest restaurant with fast service. I ordered the katsudon set for 1050 yen, which came with a mini katsudon and a choice of noodles (hot udon). The food came in less than 5 minutes (very fast). It's a good restaurant for a quick work lunch when you're busy and short on time.

I went to Minato for the 21st Japanese Castle Certification Level 2 exam. There were no restaurants near the exam venue, so I decided to eat at ATC (Asia Pacific Trade Center). It was raining that day, but I could move from the Trade Center Mae Station through a connecting passage without getting wet. I didn't want to eat a heavy meal during the exam because I didn't want to feel sleepy, so I decided on a cold Chikuwa Tempura and Warm Egg Udon set for 910 yen. I resisted the temptation to add extra noodles and kept it normal. The dish came with Chikuwa Tempura, Warm Egg, Grated Daikon Radish, Oba (perilla leaf), Kamaboko (fish cake), Nori (seaweed), and Bonito Flakes, with the option to add ginger and green onions to taste. I poured the broth over the noodles, mixed it, and slurped it up. The noodles were not as firm as Sanuki Udon, but they had a gentle elasticity. The set meal also came with mixed rice. Although it wasn't a lot of food, it was delicious with a flavorful broth. Eating lightly helped me stay focused during the exam, and when I self-checked my answers at home, I scored in the high 80s, so it seems like I cleared the passing score of 70 points. I'm looking forward to the results announcement next month!

I have visited Kineya several times in the past, but I didn't know that their udon is based on Sanuki udon. The noodles are thick and chewy indeed. Today, I had the "Curry Udon for 770 yen including tax." There was also a set menu with katsudon, but I knew I wouldn't be able to finish it, so I gave up on that. The set menu is a good deal for those who can eat a lot. I haven't had curry in a while, so I chose the curry udon, but I feel like the Sanuki noodles and curry don't really go well together. The noodles are too firm, so the curry broth doesn't cling to them... I think soft and chewy Hakata noodles would suit curry better personally (sorry). Of course, it was delicious. I like the "kake" and "bukkake" styles in Sanuki udon. Many places that serve curry udon only provide paper aprons (this place did too). I don't use a paper apron for curry udon. Because curry doesn't splatter... (it's just a matter of whether it's noticeable on your clothes or not) It's a matter of how you eat it. I think it's less likely to splatter if you don't lift the noodles. That's just my opinion...

◆◆◆Chilled Toriten (chicken tempura) Udon Set Meal for 1050 yen including tax◆Shop InformationKINEYA Dohjima Underground Shopping Street BranchAddress: Dohjima, Kita-ku, Osaka City, OsakaHours:Weekdays 11:00-21:30 (Last Order 21:20)Saturday, Sunday, Holidays 11:00-19:00 (Last Order 18:00)This set meal features udon topped with plenty of crispy chicken tempura. The udon noodles are thick and satisfying to eat. The chicken tempura has a nice crispy texture. The portion size is quite substantial with just the toriten udon alone, so for women, ordering the dish separately might be a better option. As a man, I found the set meal to be just the right amount. Additionally, you can get a free extra serving of noodles up to one portion. #Osaka Gourmet #Lunch #Chain Restaurant #Udon #Chilled Udon #Toriten #Osaka Cuisine #Udon Noodles #Umeda #Kitashinchi #Osaka Station #Lunchtime #Light Meal #Close to Station #Hearty #Udon #Umeda Station Area #Kita Ward Gourmet #KINEYA

I left Shizuoka at night and arrived in Nara in the early morning after several breaks along the way. I took a short nap here and then headed to Osaka to meet up with friends. Normally, I would take the subway, but this time we drove there, which was a new experience for me since I don't usually use a car in Osaka. We visited a historical exhibition in Nanko and then had lunch at a restaurant in ATC since there weren't many options around. I ordered cold udon with tempura and my friend wanted udon, so we ended up at this restaurant. The portions were smaller than what I'm used to in Kansai, and the udon didn't have the chewiness I expected. Overall, it was a bit disappointing, and my friend didn't seem too impressed either. Oh well, you win some, you lose some.

I am "Noronori", who mainly walks around eating lunch, mainly around Sakai. While shopping, I decided to take a break and have some cold soba, so I stopped by. I ordered zaru soba with my favorite tempura chikuwa topping. About 80% of the restaurant was full. Zaru soba at Kineya: 600 yen, chikuwa tempura: 130 yen. Total: 730 yen (tax included). Kineya's quality is always reliable. Cold soba on a hot day (*^-^*) It was delicious. Thank you for the meal.

I headed to the Plarail Expo in Osaka's Nanko ATC by car right after the New Year. First, we looked for a place to eat for a quick meal. We found a good restaurant called Kineya, where we decided to have udon for the kids. It's a well-known chain restaurant, but it was my first time there. The large portions were wallet-friendly and easy to share. We ordered zaru udon and katsudon. Honestly, nothing stood out as exceptionally delicious, but I was satisfied with the cleanliness of the restaurant and the quick service. The place quickly filled up with families, showing how popular it is. Thank you for the meal~

I visited for lunch. It was past lunchtime on a weekday and the restaurant was empty. The staff recommended a table for four even though I was alone, which showed their high level of service. I ordered the curry udon and mini katsu-don set. The taste was consistent and decent, not amazingly delicious but definitely not bad. The restaurant has a spacious interior and offers a reliable taste, making it a good option when choosing where to eat.

This is a shop I often visit near my workplace. I love all the restaurants in the Kineya group because they are very delicious and reasonably priced! I'm happy that you get a free half portion when you order a large serving of udon. The service is always friendly, and the seating is spacious, making it a great place for families. My favorite is the tempura udon, but I also recommend the grated yam udon. There are many affordable and delicious udon shops these days, but when you want to treat yourself a little, I recommend this shop with its freshly made udon. The soba noodles are also fragrant and delicious, so even those with a bit of a discerning palate will enjoy it.

I had meat udon. The meat was slightly sweet and well seasoned, and the broth was exquisite. The egg didn't have any white in it, and it was delicious.

I visited this restaurant when I went to the Thomas event at ATC. The restaurants in ATC are always crowded on Sundays, with long lines forming quickly. So, my family decided to go for lunch at 11 am, an hour before the usual lunchtime. Thanks to that, we were able to get a table without waiting in line. I ordered cold udon noodles, while my wife ordered curry udon with mochi inside, both with inari sushi sets. The udon noodles had a nice texture and were very filling, with a generous portion size. There were also three large pieces of fried chicken, which were too much for me, so I shared them with my wife. I was surprised by my wife's appetite as she managed to finish her curry udon and even the fried chicken I gave her. The food was delicious, the prices were reasonable, and we plan to visit this restaurant again when we come back to ATC.
