There is a new cheap izakaya open in Temma! Big bottle of beer for 343 yen and appetizers starting from 9 yen! Located in front of Temma Station in Osaka, "Chutoro and Pig's Feet" is a standing bar where you can also sit at a table. The drink menu offers big bottles of beer for 343 yen (excluding tax) and other drinks are also surprisingly cheap. The appetizer menu includes items starting from 9 yen, such as simmered shiitake mushrooms and pickled shallots. I tried the collagen pig's feet stew for 499 yen and it was incredibly tender and delicious. The special miso sauce added a great flavor to it. I also tried the Taiwan fried skewer for 49 yen, which was tasty with a sweet and savory sauce. The tuna belly chutoro for 499 yen was rich and melted in the mouth, while the grilled scallops for 399 yen were flavorful and cooked right in front of me. Overall, it was a great experience with affordable prices and delicious food. Highly recommended!

Today is a weekday, but I had the day off from work, so as a person with free time, I decided to wander around the Temma area from around 3 pm onwards. I had been curious about a standing bar called "Chutoro and Pig Feet" near Temma Station, so I decided to check it out. "Chutoro and Pig Feet" is a standing bar that has been open for six months, offering drinks and food at very affordable prices, and it has gained popularity for its delicious food. In the Temma area, there is a well-known affordable standing bar called "Standing and Drinking Shomin Temma Store," and "Chutoro and Pig Feet" seems to be equally popular with its affordable prices. I visited the place around 3:30 pm, which was a bit of an odd time, but the place was quite lively. The entrance to the shop is downstairs, and when I opened the door, the staff asked me if I wanted to stand or sit, so I chose to stand and was directed to a counter on the right side of the back wall. The menu was posted on the wall, and I was surprised by the incredibly low prices. For example, draft beer (Asahi Super Dry) was 199 yen, Suntory Malts (large bottle) was 343 yen, highballs were 199 yen, and various dishes like pig feet stew, tuna sashimi, and steaks were all priced very affordably. I ordered a Tris Highball for 199 yen and decided to order five dishes since I was quite hungry. The dishes I ordered were Tris Highball x2, Tuna Sashimi, Chicken Breast Sashimi, Taiwanese Fried Skewers, Oden Assorted Stew, and Half & Half Steak. The food was delicious, especially the Tuna Sashimi and Chicken Breast Sashimi, which were surprisingly good for the price. The Oden Assorted Stew was a bit bland, but considering the price, it was still a good deal. The Half & Half Steak, which included Sirloin Steak, Kinako Pork Steak, and Chicken Thigh Steak, was served on a hot iron plate and was a satisfying end to the meal. Overall, the combination of affordable prices and tasty food made "Chutoro and Pig Feet" a great find in the Temma area.

Located underground in front of Temma Station, this restaurant is one of the many establishments in the Tenjin shopping street. While many of the shops offer self-grilled steaks and various cheap menu items like 99 yen oden, 9 yen pickled vegetables, and 1 yen Japanese sake, this place stands out as the cheapest place to drink in Japan. With no restrictions on ordering and a variety of steak options available, you can enjoy a mix of beef, pork, and chicken steak for just 599 yen. Cook it yourself, cut it with scissors, and enjoy it with a choice of sauces. Pair it with 1 yen Japanese sake and a large bottle of beer for a total of 1,047 yen. This restaurant offers unbeatable prices in the bustling area of Temma. Note that the 1 yen Japanese sake is not available on public holidays, and there are standing and table seats available with a seating charge of 275 yen.

I was surprised by the 9 yen rakkyo (4 pieces)! Takuan is 29 yen (4 slices). The tuna sashimi is around 400-500 yen, and the takoyaki is about 300 yen for 6 to 8 pieces. The second place we went to was really great! ✨ They even give you a Yakult at the checkout.

When leaving the sushi restaurant Okuda and heading towards Temma Station, I spotted a conspicuous shop in front of the station Σ('◉⌓◉') I had forgotten, but it was a shop I had bookmarked... What? Probably the cheapest standing bar in Japan... Really? Hey hey, is this a challenge to the man who is said to be the best at standing bars? (*≧∀≦*) Since there is still time until the shop I planned to visit opens, this is a good opportunity to stop by and check it out, right? I descended the stairs leading underground and arrived at this place. As soon as I entered the shop, I ordered a draft beer and a dish of medium fatty tuna and pig's feet. The shop had both standing and sitting seats, and I was asked which I preferred. By the way, if you choose to sit, there is a seating fee of 250 yen, but a man who is said to be the best at standing bars doesn't need a chair, right? I saved 250 yen right away (laughs). The female staff member explained that orders are made through a QR code. Recently, there are more and more shops where you order using a tablet or QR code. I don't think everyone has a smartphone, but oh well. I first chose a Kirin Ichiban Shibori draft beer for 219 yen (tax included). This price will remain until the product is sold out. By the way, Asahi Super Dry is 329 yen (tax included). Clearly, Ichiban Shibori is the better deal, right (^_^)v I quickly checked the menu and ordered a dish of tuna head for 549 yen (tax included) (=^▽^)σ It had a lot of sinew, but considering the price, it was understandable. I only ordered this dish as there is another shop on the list, and I ordered only another draft beer. I had another round of draft beer, of course (laughs) There are also unusual items on the menu these days, such as insect dishes... What? Cockroaches or maggots? Σ(゚д゚lll) Are there people who order and eat this kind of thing? :(;゙゚'ω゚'): Even if it's free, I'll pass (ノД`) People with no likes or dislikes and a spirit of challenge might want to try it (laughs). The service was good with friendly staff, including Southeast Asian and Indian female staff members and a male staff member who looked like Kannon Kawai. The shop was bustling with customers coming in one after another. Maybe it's not just because it's cheap, but also because of the atmosphere? The Foodie rating of 3.21 on Tabelog is no joke, right? Maybe it was also featured on Instagram? Two young girls also visited the shop. 80s idol songs were playing in the shop, with Kyon Kyon being the lead. The total bill was 987 yen, ridiculously cheap *\(^o^)/* They even gave me a lactic acid bacteria drink as a service when paying. I would like to visit again someday to try out the menu items that caught my eye (*^▽^*)

I wanted to go to "Sushi Okuda," a popular chain restaurant on YouTube, but it was closed unexpectedly. I decided to change my plans and ended up ordering a draft beer, soda highball, medium fatty tuna, and foie gras battleship sushi. It was a bit lacking in quantity, but overall, it was cheap and wonderful.

Today, I went to a restaurant with my colleagues Macaroni and Cholegi. We tried various dishes such as medium fatty tuna, pork trotters, simmered conger eel, and white liver. The restaurant was surprisingly spacious and had a unique atmosphere resembling an eel's resting place. We ordered multiple plates of medium fatty tuna, as well as assorted oden for only 49 yen under certain conditions. The fried horse mackerel was also a steal at 100 yen. We couldn't resist ordering more dishes, like pickled radish for 9 yen, and the staff even performed a fun show while preparing the garlic sauce for the pork trotters. The whole experience was a great value for the money, and our table was filled with a variety of delicious dishes. Although we didn't take many photos, we were truly grateful for the feast. Thank you!

Akahoshi large bottle for less than 500 yen is a steal. I had 3 Taiwanese deep-fried skewers, but could have easily eaten more. The Oden is the best value for money. As a surprise, I received a Yakult-like drink on my way out when I paid the bill. [Standing Bar - Medium Fatty Tuna and Pig's Feet] I went to a super cheap izakaya in front of JR Temma Station (*´꒳`*) They offer a specialty dish called "Ton Feet Stew" for 499 yen, where they serve tenderly stewed pig's feet with a special sauce on top. The special sauce is incredibly delicious, and the pig's feet are soft and bouncy, leaving your skin feeling great for the next day. You can definitely have a few extra servings with that sauce (lol). "Medium Fatty Tuna Sashimi" for 499 yen is a menu item that lives up to the restaurant's name. The portion is a bit small, but the high-quality fat of the tuna spreads throughout your mouth and tastes delicious (*´艸`). "Rare White Liver Sashimi" for 299 yen is surprisingly cheap, which makes you a bit worried (lol). I only eat liver raw, but with sesame oil and salt, I can eat as much as I want (*´꒳`*). "Young Chicken Karaage" for 199 yen is unbelievably cheap (lol). It's a proper deep-fried chicken that you can tell is made in the shop, and it's so tasty. How can they offer it at this price! And it's delicious (lol). "Taiwanese Deep-Fried Skewer" for 49 yen per skewer seemed like a specialty, so I ordered it. It's like a deep-fried shumai skewered in half. The taste matches its appearance and goes perfectly with alcohol (*´Д`*). "Crayfish Karaage" for 299 yen is something I tend to order when there's shrimp tempura or shrimp karaage on the menu. The outside is crispy, and the inside is fluffy, making it delicious ( ゚Д゚)ウマー. "Chicken Wing Gyoza" for 299 yen is another dish that I tend to order if it's available (lol). It says it looks delicious, and it really is (*´艸`). Although it's a standing bar, you can pretty much find seats inside (lol). The taste is good, the cost performance is great, so it was very crowded (*´꒳`*). They also offer some exotic dishes like insects, but I didn't order those (lol).

When I first visited on a Sunday, they explained that the "1 yen sake" promotion was not available that day (it was clearly marked in red at the top of the board as only being available on weekdays). I returned on a weekday for lunch on April 25th. They had a new system where you order through LINE, so I ordered the 1 yen sake and the popular "braised pig trotters" that were sold out last time. The staff informed me that the pig trotters would take about 30 minutes to cook, to which I agreed. While waiting, I ordered a mixed oden platter as a snack. The regular oden is 99 yen, but if you declare yourself as "bald," it's only 49 yen. With my receding hairline, I qualified for the discount. Watching them dish out the oden, I noticed that the egg was a different color. The "bald" one had a richer color, suggesting it had been simmered longer, which suited my taste. They quickly served hot sake in a choko cup (or a cup made from an empty one-cup sake bottle?) without making me wait. They also served a complimentary potato salad and incense stick for a nostalgic touch. By the time I had two refills of the 1 yen sake, the eagerly awaited pig trotters arrived. The portion was overwhelming, and as the waitress sang while drizzling garlic sauce over them, I shared 2/3 of it with a young man at the next table (as a 56-year-old man, I couldn't finish it all). I enjoyed the rest of the dish. Feeling good, I paid the bill, which came to only 606 yen. It was truly a surprising experience until the end.

Osaka Ladder Sake 2nd place - After a long walk from 6th to Minami-Morimachi along the Tenjinbashi-Suji Shopping Street, my mother's feet were at their peak of exhaustion around the 3rd block. It was already 3 pm, and there were quite a few bars open until 3 pm, so we decided to go to "Oodanna," a place on our list that we wanted to try (located near Temma Station). Just before 3 pm, there was no sign of the shop opening, so we wandered around, but my mother wanted to sit down. Feeling sorry for her tired feet, we decided to enter the shop right in front of us. We ordered "Chutoro (fatty tuna) and pig's feet." It was a standing bar, but for an additional 250 yen, we could sit at a regular table. The prices on the menu were surprisingly cheap, with draft Kirin Ichiban Shibori beer for 199 yen, Asahi beer for 299 yen, and a large bottle for 399 yen. The appetizers ranged from 9 yen, and I ordered simmered mushrooms, which was a small dish but perfect for a snack. We also ordered a Wani (crocodile) nugget, which unfortunately turned out to be chicken nuggets. The foreign staff called it "Yama." We also received a complimentary candle-lit potato salad and a Yakult at the end. The staff also brought a large bottle opener and made a bit of a show out of it. Despite the mysterious and quirky aspects of the place, we had a good time. Although I was still up for more drinks, my mother was exhausted, so we decided to end our second stop at this unique establishment.

Outside, it said "Standing bar but chairs available" but there is a seating fee of 250 yen per person. It seems that Shuumai Tengoku is operating under a different name. Orders are taken through QR code scanning on your phone, and the QR code and LINE registration are now under Shuumai Tengoku. The food is slightly cheaper than chain restaurants, but the unique atmosphere gives it a higher rating! To keep the customers entertained, when ordering bottled beer, the staff brings it while tapping the bottle with a bottle opener. There are many unique menu items, making it a great place for a fun drinking party!

Incense firework potato salad for free, Maguro (Tuna) brain sashimi for 549 yen, Flower radish for 10 yen, Shiitake mushroom stew for 10 yen, Deep-fried garlic bomb for 109 yen, Large bottle for 439 yen, Japanese sake for 1 yen. Total: 1,118 yen. If you stand and drink, no seating fee. If you sit and drink, seating fee is 250 yen. The standing area is not very welcoming. Why is the soy sauce so sweet in Osaka? Pork feet are a specialty, so don't run out of them. Ordering with a smartphone was bothersome. If you don't allow orders with smartphones, at least provide free Wi-Fi. Why should customers pay for data to place an order? It was good that smoking was allowed. It seemed like regulars and newcomers were treated differently. The system was hard to understand at first glance. I won't be visiting again. Thank you for the meal.

Thank you for always reading. If you liked it, I would be happy if you could bookmark the store by clicking the "Save Shop" button. A fishing friend is coming to Temma! I have posted about this restaurant many times, and now I am visiting Chutoro and Butsu Ashi-san for the first time. The address of Chutoro and Butsu Ashi-san is 3-12 Nishiki-cho, Kita-ku, Osaka City, in the Aurora Building B1F, right next to JR Loop Line "Temma" Station. It's on the north side of the station. I arrived at the restaurant around 4 p.m. From the exterior, it looks like it has been around for about 10 years... The first review on Tabelog was in February 2023 (2 months ago). It has a nice Temma-like atmosphere, but if you are a frequent user of JR Temma Station, you may know that the turnover of restaurants in this area is quite high. Already a little tipsy with my fishing friend, we fearlessly headed downstairs! The big bottle of beer for 343 yen and draft beer for 199 yen are fantastic. Later, I found out from the menu that the cheap draft beer and highball are limited in quantity. Make sure to disinfect your hands with alcohol at the entrance and ask for a table seat! A table seat requires an additional table fee of 250 yen, and the interior has a retro Showa era feel. The prices for the big bottle of beer and draft beer vary depending on the manufacturer. The Malt's (Suntory) big bottle beer is 343 yen, and the Ichiban Shibori (Kirin) draft beer is 199 yen (limited quantity). "I'll have the Malt's big bottle beer, please." The food menu is varied with 6 major specialty dishes! The cheapest dish is 9 yen, and there are even insect dishes. Already a bit drunk, I consulted with my fishing friend and ordered, "I'll have the morning chicken sashimi assortment, Hon Maguro Nokogiri Chutoro sashimi, Butsu Ashi simmered, pickled shallots, and simmered shiitake mushrooms, please." It's still bright outside, but they said they don't have the Butsu Ashi simmered or simmered shiitake mushrooms. We waited for a while until the dishes arrived. A complimentary candle-lit potato salad! Let's dig in! The morning chicken sashimi assortment includes white liver! It goes really well with sesame oil. The Hon Maguro Nokogiri Chutoro sashimi is a rare part! The rich flavor of the tuna spreads in your mouth and goes well with the beer. The 2nd complimentary dish is a stick salad with mayonnaise! It's a nice palate cleanser. The 3rd complimentary dish is a small portion of the morning chicken sashimi! The 4th complimentary dish is pickled cucumbers! The ginger goes well with the nicely pickled cucumbers. Feeling a bit tipsy, we asked for the bill! With lots of complimentary dishes, it came to just over 1,000 yen per person! Finally, we received a complimentary drink and thanked the staff at the restaurant before leaving Chutoro and Butsu Ashi-san. "Thank you for the delicious meal! I'll come again!" Thank you for reading until the end. I hope this information on gourmet dining can be of some help to you. Today is a day shift only! A customer who I cleaned for last year, a repeat customer (^_^) Two air conditioners, two outdoor units, bathroom, range hood (^ω^) Not too dirty since I cleaned them last year. But it was a good time! And today, there's a Foodlog meetup, I guess? We're planning to go to four places near Miyakojima (lol). But I haven't eaten anything since morning, so I'm starving \(//∇//)\ At times like this, you gotta go to Temma for a pre-meal, right?٩(๑❛ᴗ❛๑)۶ I wanted to go to Toraya, but unexpectedly there was a line. So, in a vibe that seemed likely to fail, I visited Chuutoro to Butsuke-san. It's a corner property right near Temma Station, I can't remember what it used to be! Anyway, I went downstairs. There, an Indian-looking female staff asked, "Table or counter?" I chose the counter. Even though it's a counter, it's a layout for one person. It's fine because I'm alone anyway \(//∇//)\ It seems you have to order by scanning the QR code. Actually... it was my first experience with mobile ordering (lol) I started with... ■ Three Highball ■ Oden assorted platter ■ Torotoro simmered pork First, cheers with the Highball \(//∇//)\ I'm not that tired, but a post-work drink is delicious (^ω^) The Torotoro simmered pork arrived, it's... braised pork. There's no ichimi red pepper on the table... I didn't want to bother the staff by saying anything, so I just ate it as it is. Yeah, it's quite delicious (^ω^) The assorted Oden arrived... it's quite a portion. Grilled tofu, thick fried tofu, daikon, egg, konjac, shirataki The broth is based on bonito flakes, not bad \(//∇//)\ The bill was settled with my phone, and the staff came to the counter. And as a bonus... I received a yogurt-like lactic acid bacteria drink! The female staff even escorted me to the stairs, thank you very much~. I'm falling for her~ (old-fashioned) Thank you for the meal.

The underground restaurant has a striking appearance and a crowded, bustling atmosphere. The staff seems busy and the place may be a bit messy. The dishes are all reasonably priced, with a focus on seafood such as sashimi and grilled items (which you grill yourself). The drinks, especially beer, are cheap. It's a good place for a lively gathering of male friends, but not recommended for a date or solo dining. I recommend trying the grilled squid and fried potatoes.

I decided to drink in Temma on this day. The first place I visited was this shop. I found out about it from a review by Mairebi-sama and wanted to try it because I like pig's feet. It's right in front of Temma Station♪ I visited around 5:30 pm, and although they seem to be open from noon, it was quite busy with customers. There were seats available, but they were full, so I was guided to the standing area. The menu is also posted, but orders are made through a QR code. There are several types of draft beer, and the cheapest one is 199 yen, but when I tried to order it, it wasn't displayed on the QR code menu screen. When I asked the staff, they said, "It's sold out" ( ´∀`) It might be the first time I've heard of draft beer being sold out. I reluctantly toasted with a Super Dry (299 yen)♪ I also ordered some food. First and foremost, I had to order the pig's feet since that was the purpose of my visit♪ When I looked at the menu screen, it wasn't displayed either, which gave me a bad feeling. The staff said, "It's sold out" again. The signature menu item of the restaurant was sold out... The staff explained that it was unexpectedly popular since noon, and the pig's feet were gone. It's understandable if it's popular since it's in the name of the restaurant, I thought to myself with a chuckle. So, I ordered the simmered pork belly as a replacement. I also ordered the other signature dish, the bluefin tuna belly sashimi. The simmered pork belly was well flavored and had a melt-in-your-mouth texture. The bluefin tuna belly was just an ordinary bluefin tuna belly. With the signature menu items sold out, my excitement was gone, so I finished with one drink. Thank you for the meal.

Today is Sunday♪(´ε`) I was staying at home, but suddenly... I found myself at Temma Station♪(´ε`) Haha I discovered "Chutoro and Pig's Feet" at JR Temma Station after hearing about it from a friend♪(´ε`) Going down the stairs to the underground, I was greeted by lively staff members. There are standing and table seats, with simple dividers, and they are running the place boldly♪ I chose the standing area and ordered a Tris Highball (¥199 before tax)♪ The ordering system seems to be the latest trend - scanning a barcode with your smartphone and placing the order yourself♪(´ε`) I ordered just one highball, but they kept bringing more and more, ending up with three in total... I had to politely decline the extras♪(笑) From the recommended menu, I chose the Chutoro sashimi and fried shumai, and also tried the Taiwanese-style fried skewers♪(´ε`) The Chutoro sashimi... *the photo is just an image, but it looked exactly like the menu photo... (´ε`) Haha The fried shumai was a bit small but crispy♪ The Taiwanese-style skewers were crispy with a slightly sweet sauce♪ While enjoying my highball, I also added the Cheese Crispy & Taiwanese-style skewers♪ The Cheese Crispy was like a small spring roll♪ The Taiwanese-style skewers turned out to be half a fried shumai skewered on a stick... (笑) When I calculated the number of skewers, it turned out that ordering the Taiwanese-style skewers was cheaper than ordering the fried shumai separately! The menu offers items starting from 0 yen to 9 yen, with some surprising options mixed in, making it a fun and enjoyable experience♪ How about starting your night out with this place as the first stop? (笑) Bon appétit♪(*´ω`*)

I knew it existed because it's in front of the station, but since it's under the stairs, I couldn't tell what kind of shop it was from the outside, and when I searched for the name "Shumai Tengoku," it said it was closed, so I couldn't visit for a while. (It seems that the name has been changed to "Chutoro to Butsuashi"). Based on the pricing and atmosphere, I thought it was probably related to "Nianago and Shirako" in Tenjin Shotengai, so I felt it would be okay and made my first visit. The shop downstairs is quite spacious in Temma, like "Nianago," and it has a system where standing is free and sitting incurs a charge. I opted for the standing counter. The system of scanning a barcode with your phone to input orders is the same. I ordered a drink and ate the famous "Taiwanese skewer tempura (49 yen)" while a "Potato Salad with Incense Fireworks" was served as a service to all customers. When I looked at the menu, there was a menu item called "Incense Fireworks Potato Salad," and they also gave us an incense firework to play with on top of the ashtray. Later, we also received a service of "Squid and Green Onion Nuta Salad." I couldn't help but feel happy but also apologetic for why they were giving us so much service. For the second round, I avoided ordering anything too filling and opted for the "Half Grilled Whole Squid." It was a dish where everything was grilled except for the squid's legs, and you grill it yourself. It was a satisfying dish. Like "Nianago and Shirako," this place was a good restaurant with attentive service and customer care. They still had insects and other exotic foods on the menu.

JR Osaka Loop Line Temma Station, just outside the ticket gate~♪ If you dash like Katsuhira, you'll arrive in 3 seconds~⁉️※ The Katsuhira gag is only understood by the Showa generation or so... (laughs) On this day, I had a drinking session with the Cycle Hero from Hyogo Kenmin after 3 months~♪※ The Hero, as his name suggests, travels all over Japan on an electric bicycle~♪ So, before toasting with the Hero, we decided to challenge the goldfish scooping highball... (°▽°) (I heard that if you successfully scoop a goldfish, you can get a mega highball...) After a successful real goldfish scooping for the first time in ten years, we toasted with a mega highball~♪ The recommended dishes from the restaurant were all delicious~(´∀`) Especially the simmered pig's trotters were big and satisfying to eat~! Plus, they were full of collagen~❣️(laughs) We also ordered additional drinks like Tokunoshima Sudachi Chu-hai, Whole Tomato Chu-hai, Umeshu on the rocks, etc. We ordered additional dishes like Tosa Bonito Tataki, Taiwanese Deep-fried Skewers, Assorted Oden, Shrimp Sushi, Myoga with Ponzu sauce, etc. After that, the Hero, who was already tipsy from Umeshu on the rocks, ordered the forbidden "0 yen ◯◯◯◯"~! And what came out was... (laughs) Looking at the menu, there were unusual items like frog-shaped grilled alligator hands, insect dishes (G, U, B), but even the Hero said that was absolutely impossible... (laughs) We stayed for about 4 hours and the bill for one person was around 3,000 yen...※ Including a seating fee of 250 yen, the playful and fun menu with goldfish scooping chu-hai and more made this an enjoyable restaurant~♪ A revisit here is definitely confirmed~(°▽°)

※This is a memo. It is a personal record of when, where, what I ate, and drank. For the second stop of our daytime drinking in Temma, we visited Naka Toro and Buta Ashi-san. On this day, we had: - Kakubin Highball 299 yen - Hon Maguro Nouten Naka Toro Sashimi 499 yen - Potato Salad (complimentary) I think this place is affiliated with Shiragimoto Nianago, but the types of dishes were a bit different. The sashimi was too different from what I had in mind... Oh well, can't be helped. (>_<)
