Next to Beppu Bridge stands a beer bar directly connected to a brewery. Although the opening hours are a bit tricky from 12:00 to 18:00, you can enjoy freshly made craft beer in great condition. On my way back from Tenjin, where I drove due to errands, I stopped by the place that caught my eye on the sign, and to my surprise, it turned out to be a local beer factory. The eat-in space had two tables for four people each, and since there were no other customers, I elegantly took a seat alone. They had beers made with Amaou strawberries and coffee, but I decided to start with their flagship "Blue Master" as per the sign. A glass with rich foam was promptly served. Honestly, I wasn't a big fan of ales, but the refreshing sweetness and smoothness of the Blue Master were outstanding, so I ended up having three glasses in a row. The foam retention was good, and the carbonation was firm, making it a straightforward and delicious ale. I was planning to try the different labels in order, but I'll save that for next time. Along with my second glass, I had edamame, freshly boiled and served hot. With my third glass, a platter of sausages arrived, with five pieces of three different boiled sausages. Some were herb-infused, and while they had a meaty texture, the saltiness was mild and didn't overpower the beer. Feeling a bit tipsy, I decided to call it a day around there. Before coming here, I stopped by "Udon Biyori," but the crowdedness actually worked in my favor as I couldn't order beer there. I don't intend to say something like "Do you hate ales? That's because you haven't tried really delicious ones," like a "gourmet snob." If you enjoy trying different types of beer, especially for locals, I highly recommend this place.
