Ibaraki-Nikko (2 nights 3 days) solo train trip Day 1①New Chitose Airport, boarding gate after security check. When there were restrictions due to Corona, some shops were closed, but this time everything is open. With so many shops open and plenty of time, I feel excited and want to have a drink. Around 10:45 am on Tuesday, there were 3 customers in front of me, 2 customers behind me, and 2 takeout customers. Payment was made at the register, Sapporo Classic beer for 550 yen. I'm happy that they serve it in a glass. This is important to me, I don't like plastic! It seems they bring food to the table when you order together, but I only ordered a drink, so I received it directly. Starting the journey with a cold beer is uplifting! Most people ordering juice or ice cream are for takeout, but everyone dining in is having alcohol. I'm happy to have company. Satisfied with the cold and delicious beer, I leave the seat. Time spent: 15 minutes Amount paid: 550 yen Wait, the Narita boarding gate is empty?! Oh no, the departure is delayed by 1 hour and 30 minutes due to a flight from Narita being late?! There's still so much time left! Should I go for another drink before boarding?! Although I say this, in my head, I'm like, "What should I do?" I need to recheck the transfer after arrival! Will I arrive at the hotel while it's still bright outside?! My mind goes blank. - - - - - - - - - - - - Noguri's travel memo (for my own reference) The flight I booked is Peach MM572 departing from New Chitose Airport at 12:00 ⇒ 13:30 (delayed) and arriving at Narita Airport at 13:40. Simple Peach fare is 5,810 yen + payment fee of 640 yen. No checked baggage, seat selection, etc., just traveling with a backpack this time. In-flight carry-on is up to 2 items, total weight up to 7kg. I only have one backpack weighing 4.5kg. Peach only flies from Chitose to Tokyo to Narita. After arriving at Narita, I moved to gate 18 to buy a voucher from the vending machine for the Keisei Skyliner I will take. Buying here costs 2,300 yen. Buying directly at Narita costs 2,570 yen, slightly more expensive. Since all seats are reserved, I need to exchange the voucher for a seat ticket after arriving at Narita, but it saves the hassle of payment and is cheaper.
