This is a cooking izakaya, but I think it's a hidden gem for Mizutaki (chicken hot pot) in Kokura. I had the Mizutaki course, and every dish was excellent. The Mizutaki was so well-prepared that the staff recommended drinking the soup four times to fully enjoy it. The taste changed subtly but became rich and delicious as I added chicken, chicken meatballs, and vegetables. The chicken meatballs were not large in quantity, but they were as delicious as those from famous restaurants in Hakata. If there is a restaurant like this in Kokura, there may be no need to go all the way to Hakata for Mizutaki.
