I found this restaurant on Instagram and decided to search for it. It's located near Don Quijote along Route 3 in Kurosaki. It's tucked away behind Aplaid without any signs or flower wreaths, so it might look like a normal house at first glance. Inside, there is a raised seating area and a counter surrounding the kitchen. The lighting is dim, giving off a nostalgic cafe vibe. They offer a simple daily lunch set menu, and in the evenings, they serve alcohol, oden, and daily specials at the counter. It seems like this is only available on weekends. I forgot to take a picture, but I couldn't miss the fact that they have Iki Gold and DAIYAME on the menu, which I personally find intriguing. Even though I hadn't eaten anything yet, I had already decided to come back for drinks next time. The daily lunch set on this day was ginger pork (750 yen) which included the main dish, rice, two side dishes, and suji soup. The ginger pork seems to be a popular item with a high appearance rate on the daily specials. The seasoning is a bit strong and sharp, which would be more appealing to men than women. As someone who prefers lighter flavors, I found it a bit bold, so I alternated between eating it with the bean sprout sesame dressing, which balanced out the flavors perfectly. The unique part was the suji soup, not miso soup or clear soup, but oh yeah, it's oden broth! The ingredients included suji and daikon, with a light yet substantial broth. The kind female owner seemed to surprisingly enjoy alcohol, as we had a lively conversation about Iki Gold and DAIYAME. I'd like to try other lunch sets, but I definitely want to come back here for drinks! So, I think my next review will be about the evening experience (laughs).
