Ah, there's a Chinese restaurant called "Kotoju" with a nice atmosphere and parking in front of the shop. Let's give it a try. They have two lunch specials for ¥950 each - one with noodles and the other with a main dish. I decided to go with the noodle lunch. I ordered the tantanmen noodles with a side of mini fried rice. The tantanmen noodles were different from the usual, with a unique sesame flavor and a spicy kick. The fried rice was well-cooked and flavorful. The soup was spicy, sweet, and delicious, with a base of pork bone, chicken broth, and vegetables. The owner mentioned that it's a tantanmen with doubanjiang and white sesame. It was my first time trying such a thin and spicy tantanmen, but it was really tasty. The restaurant was almost full when I arrived, and the owner mentioned that the food is delicious and has great value. I'll definitely come back here next time I bring my car in. The work seems to be a carefully prepared daily set meal, but the prices might be a bit on the higher side compared to nearby restaurants. Lunchtime drinking in Nishiyodo. I visited a bookmarked restaurant. Unlike the typical Chinese restaurant with a red exterior, this place had a subtle and unassuming appearance. At first glance, you wouldn't even know it's a Chinese restaurant (sweat). The interior is very modern and doesn't look like a typical Chinese restaurant at all (・_・;). The kind owner, the energetic wife, and maybe the owner's mother, are all running the place. Looking at the menu, there are set meals, a la carte dishes, dim sum, courses, appetizers, etc., spanning 5 pages, making it hard to decide. After some contemplation, I placed my order. ● Mount Fuji Highball 450 yen × 2 glasses ■ Stir-fried Pork with Green Peppers 820 yen ■ Five Ingredient Fried Rice 620 yen ■ Pan-fried Dumplings (6 pieces) 300 yen Starting with the dumplings, the thin crispy skin with juicy filling, packed with vegetables and meat, was delicious. Next came the Stir-fried Pork with Green Peppers, with large pieces of flavorful meat. The sweet seasoning and crunchy bell peppers were a great combination. The fried rice with five ingredients was the last dish. The chef carefully fried it with various ingredients like green onions, carrots, eggs, char siu, and shrimp. It had a rich and slightly oily texture, different from the usual salty fried rice. The soup with enoki mushrooms and seaweed had a light and refreshing taste with a hint of sesame oil. Along the road that avoids the intersection of Kashima Bridge, there is a new Chinese restaurant that opened this spring. If you park in front of the shop's parking space (2 cars OK) and open the door eagerly, you will find a counter seat + table seat, a spacious and relaxing space. About half a month ago, the first thing I tried was the daily noodle set (800 yen)♪ The smooth and gentle butter ramen has a refreshing flavor in both the noodles and the soup. The chashu is also delicious! In addition, the butter-scented fried rice is a bit addictively flavorful. Despite the double butter, it feels light on the palate. This seems to be a deep and interesting restaurant. On a day with temperatures exceeding 35 degrees, I ordered the hot Ankake Champon set (880 yen). The lightly salted soup was also excellent♪ Of course, I drank it all. The smooth and plentiful noodles are generously topped with ingredients. The cold noodles that the customer next to me was eating also looked delicious with their colorful presentation. Looking around, I noticed the regular female customers, but it seems that groups from nearby companies and factories also come here. Therefore, the interior of the restaurant is clean, stylish, and the taste and portion size are reliable. Since there are no ashtrays, it is likely non-smoking. The young chef and the friendly older sister provide a laid-back and friendly atmosphere in the restaurant. Although it is a bit off the main road, this is a recommended Chinese restaurant.
