The lunch menu has 5 items, all priced at 1,000 yen except for the black wagyu beef dice steak. Today's daily special was Mapo-Tianjin rice, so I ordered the daily special. The mapo sauce with minced meat was quite delicious. It was cooked very efficiently, so the serving time was quick. It's a great restaurant. Thank you for the meal (*´∀`*)

Located near Nishisanso Station on the Keihan Line, this izakaya offers a daily lunch special for 800 yen and even serves wagyu beef dice steak! The restaurant is cozy with a narrow entrance but a spacious interior with tables and a counter. The atmosphere is typical of an izakaya, playing recent J-pop music. The wagyu beef dice steak lunch set costs 1480 yen and comes with a generous portion of tender and flavorful meat. The daily lunch specials, such as chicken teriyaki or mince cutlet, for 800 yen are also satisfying and filling. Overall, it's a great option for a fulfilling lunch near the office.

Returned to work in Osaka from April. Invited by a colleague, visited an old familiar restaurant. Started with the classic menu items. "Fried taro" (taro stewed and fried, crispy on the outside but soft inside. Be careful, it's hot!) "Thick tofu with minced meat" (lightly seared thick tofu with subtly seasoned minced meat and plenty of green onions, perfect as a drinking snack). And today's recommendation, the unusual "Leek tempura" with an interesting texture and the sweetness of leeks spreading in your mouth. The "Bamboo shoot simmered dish" was so tender! Smells like spring! The fish was "yellowtail"! The fish here is always fresh! Even when I was working in Tokyo, my shochu bottle was passed down, which generation is it now? The drinks go down smoothly. Suddenly noticed on the menu, "Marushin hamburger"?? (80 yen) One bite... it was the nostalgic Marushin hamburger. Enjoyed a fun evening of drinking with my colleague, but I drank quite a bit during the cherry blossom viewing yesterday, so we ended early today. Satisfied and full, thank you for the meal.

I went to the restaurant shortly after it opened, about 2 or 3 times. Since the shop was newly opened, it was clean and I could enjoy my meal leisurely, which was great. Despite being in Kadoma, the taste and atmosphere of the restaurant were nice. Recently, they have been offering takeout due to COVID-19, and the appetizer assortment was delicious with a beautiful presentation. It was nice to enjoy it at home with some drinks.

We had "Vegetable and Fish Foil Bake" (with sea bream and amberjack) and "Chicken Nanban" at Mondo. Both dishes cost 800 yen including tax. Once again, we received the same side dish. The dishes were full of vegetables, and the white rice was delicious. We arrived around 11:30 am on a weekday, and our order was served in just over 10 minutes. By noon, the restaurant was about 40% full.

Today's lunch was at the izakaya "Mondo" in Nishi-Sansho, where I had the "Seared Chashu Don" for ¥850. It was my first time in this area, and I noticed many office workers going into this restaurant. The salad and donburi were huge. I ordered a hearty dish, but they also have set meals, daily specials, special chicken nanban set, and black wagyu steak set with several side dishes. The proprietress and master were even drinking beer while working in the afternoon (laughs). Nice! #Food in my stomach #Osaka area #Nishi-Sansho area (2017.06.01.) This is our third visit to Mondo-san, a restaurant near Nishi-Sanjo Station that offers plenty of vegetables for lunch. We arrived around 11:30 on a weekday and ordered the most popular dish, Chicken Nanban, as well as the daily special. Both dishes cost 800 yen including tax and were served in about 10 minutes. The vegetables were as plentiful as ever, and the miso soup even had plenty of bean sprouts. The Chicken Nanban was delicious, especially the tartar sauce. The daily special that day was a chicken rice dish with lots of chicken chunks and a sauce that was more flavorful than ketchup, served with a croquette. We also had coffee after the meal, which was a slightly acidic and delicious cup for an additional 100 yen as part of the lunch drink set. Although it's not an area we often visit, we would like to come back again.

Mondo-san is a teppanyaki izakaya located about a 2-minute walk from Nishi-Sanso Station. I visited this place for the second time because I heard they serve a lunch with plenty of vegetables around Nishi-Sanso Station. The lunch menu includes daily specials and steak sets, with about 5 options available. The lunch set includes 3 side dishes (along with the main dish on one plate), rice, miso soup, and pickles. I visited around 11:30 am on a weekday and ordered the daily lunch special (chicken cutlet and mapo eggplant) and the chicken nanban set. Both were delicious, especially the fresh salad with leafy greens, tomatoes, and a side dish of daikon and crab stick mayo salad, as well as the miso soup with sasagaki burdock and plenty of green onions. The food was served promptly within 10 minutes of ordering, and we were able to finish our meal in about 30 minutes. I also visited in September of the previous year and ordered the special chicken nanban set and the fish and vegetable foil-baked set. Both were priced at 800 yen each and were delicious. The chicken nanban was topped with plenty of tartar sauce, while the foil-baked dish included cod with plenty of vegetables like bean sprouts and eggplant. The side dishes that day included chilled tofu, rolled omelette, and cabbage and ham stir-fry with curry flavor. The meal also came with a generous serving of fresh salad and a bowl of rice. The miso soup contained enoki mushrooms and kinugoshi tofu, making it a hearty and satisfying meal.

I haven't been there recently, but it's a favorite restaurant of mine. It's perfect for going with 2-3 close friends. The fish is delicious, and the must-try dishes are the deep-fried small taro potatoes and the miso-flavored ground tofu with thick fried tofu. The small taro potatoes are boiled and seasoned before being fried. Be careful, as they are hot when you bite into them! If you ask, they can also make a nostalgic ham cutlet for you.

I got off at the station called "Kadoma-shi" and during lunchtime, there didn't seem to be many restaurants around. I searched online but couldn't find any special restaurants either. It seemed like a lunch wasteland. In times like these, you have to rely on your instincts. Next to "Kadoma-shi" is the "Nishisansho" station, just a short walk away. There is a quiet street just a little off from the Keihan train station, where the restaurant is located. It seemed like an izakaya, but not too flashy. I decided to order the special chicken nanban set meal, and it was the best choice. The atmosphere was calm and relaxing, and the food was served on a large plate, including the chicken nanban and other side dishes. The appearance was beautiful, and you could feel the heat coming off the dishes. The rice was shiny and delicious. The food was well-prepared, and the atmosphere of the restaurant was harmonious. The taste of the food was excellent, with crispy fried chicken and a perfect tartar sauce. The other side dishes were also meticulously prepared. The rice went down smoothly, and you could have as many refills as you wanted. There was no greasy feeling from the fried food, and the management of the restaurant seemed solid. Although it's not an area I usually visit, I would definitely go back again. Thank you for the meal.

The izakaya has been renovated into a teppanyaki skewer restaurant. The atmosphere is bright and stylish, with a wide variety of delicious main teppanyaki skewers, side dishes, and daily recommended dishes at a high cost performance. The drinks are also affordable, making it a great place for everyday use. They even make omurice and curry upon request, perfect for when you want a hearty meal. The weekly changing ramen is highly recommended, surpassing the level of ramen served at regular izakayas. The soup and sauce are homemade, and the melt-in-your-mouth chashu is better than most ramen shops. The lunch menu is also satisfyingly filling. The classic tori nanban is a must-try, but the variety of daily specials keeps things interesting. The famous wagyu steak seems almost too cheap, which is a bit worrisome (laughs).

Lunch is served at this restaurant. There are three options available: daily special, chicken nanban, and grilled fish and vegetable in foil. The price is 800 yen and it comes with rice, miso soup, pickles, side dish, salad, and a main dish. The portion is generous and very delicious.

The master of the restaurant, who comes from a tempura shop, excels in fried dishes. The traditional menu item, fried small potatoes, has a simple yet delicious taste that cannot be replicated at home. The ramen served as a closing dish also shows a dedication to the broth. I will definitely visit again.
