I used to often eat the tonkatsu bento from Tonkatsu Dojo in Suminoe-ku, but it seems they have opened a shop in Takaida, Higashi-Osaka as well, so I bought it right away. There seems to be quite a variety of bento options. I also noticed they have katsu curry, so I would like to try it sometime. The tonkatsu has a good balance of lean and fatty meat, and considering the price, the tonkatsu is large, a great value, and very delicious.

I've been wanting to come here for a long time, and I finally made it. I ordered the third most popular menu item at this restaurant, the "Niku-Sanmai Bento" (meat feast bento). The chicken karaage was big, and I ran out of rice, so next time I will order it with extra rice. It was delicious! 🏻

Famous pork cutlet bento box for ¥680.

I entered the restaurant around 11:30 on a holiday. There were no other customers. The transportation access may not be very good. I have purchased from the main store several times, so I know the taste is always good. I ordered the "Sauce Katsu Don" which is a pork cutlet bowl. It was quite heavy when I lifted it, which was a pleasant surprise. The taste was excellent, with the sauce being just right. The rice underneath was delicious. The pork cutlet itself was very tender. I wonder which part of the pork they used. It wasn't fatty like loin, nor dry like tenderloin. The portion size was great and all this for 680 yen is fantastic!

When I opened it... it's a cutlet bowl❗️And it's a sauce cutlet bowl, too❗️The cutlet is big and full of volume❗️It looks delicious, even though it's brown (laughs). The sweet and savory sauce goes well with the large pork cutlet and shredded cabbage❗️I wish there was a bit more cabbage and the sauce was a bit less intense❗️Personally, I would have preferred a layering of rice, cabbage, and cutlet with sweet and savory sauce❗️But it was delicious❗️Thank you for the meal~ (^-^)/
