After encountering a colleague on the train on the way home from work, we decided to go for drinks. We got off at Ishibashi Hankaida and remembered there was a cheap izakaya there. We decided to check it out and visited Mr. Katsuo's place. We arrived around 9 pm and the place was about 70% full, mostly with young customers. The unfriendly female server greeted us and showed us to our table. We ordered a 260 yen beer and then used our phones to place the rest of our orders. We had chicken nuggets, vinegar chicken offal, fried potatoes, and stacked ham cutlets. We also had two large jugs of beer and highballs. The chicken nuggets were large and delicious, with a crispy coating and juicy meat. The vinegar chicken offal was not to our taste, the fried potatoes were average, and the stacked ham cutlets with cheese were a great combination. The highballs were a good deal at 400 yen for a large jug. Overall, if you stick to the chicken nuggets and cheap drinks, you'll be more satisfied. The lack of friendliness from the staff was a bit disappointing.
