Before going to Kagawa, I stopped by Yoshinoya for a brunch. I had the Gyudon with double meat and the flavor was similar to what I had at another restaurant. You can also get free refills of rice, which is a plus, but it's not that delicious overall. Considering the price, it's decent. Thank you for the meal.

I ordered the following menu items:
- Oyakodon (chicken and egg rice bowl) - Regular size for 437 yen
- Gyudon (beef rice bowl) - Regular size for 349 yen
Total: 786 yen
I mixed them together and ate. It's commonly known as "Affair Bowl". It would be great if this became a trend, haha. Thank you for the meal! Thank you very much, Yoshinoya Via Abeno Walk store!

In February of the 4th year of Reiwa, I had the Gyudon Regular Set (Gyudon Regular + Salad) for 536 yen at Yoshinoya, and it was delicious without any disappointments. They are currently running a collaboration campaign with "Jujutsu Kaisen" called "Yoshinoya Territory Expansion," where you can receive 1 premium card from Yoshinoya x "Jujutsu Kaisen 0" for each meal purchased.

"I was surprised to find such a menu!" That was my reaction when I discovered the karaage (Japanese fried chicken) dish at Yoshinoya this time. As you may know, Yoshinoya is a famous nationwide chain known for its beef bowls, and it's one of the restaurants I often visit after work. However, on this day when I visited the store in Abeno, Osaka, I found an unexpected menu item. It was the "Oyakodon (chicken and egg rice bowl) with karaage." Yes, it's a bowl with karaage, not beef. According to the restaurant's website, the karaage bowl and set meal are only available at some stores. At the time of my visit in February 2021, they were offering new items such as the "Oyakodon with karaage" and "Set meal with karaage." They mentioned that it takes longer to serve than beef bowls or pork bowls because they are freshly fried. Since I had no urgent plans that day, and I am a fan of chicken, I decided to try it in the restaurant. About 5-7 minutes after ordering, the karaage bowl was served. I ordered extra karaage pieces, and there were four large pieces on top. They were hot and crispy, with a good texture and flavor, surpassing the typical karaage found in bento boxes at supermarkets. The sauce for the karaage was similar to sweet chili sauce, rather than the soy-based sauce with green onions commonly associated with oyakodon. At this store, you can also add a piece of karaage to beef bowls or take karaage out separately. If you're interested, look for stores like this one in Abeno that serve karaage.

I had a beef sukiyaki set meal (^。^) for 657 yen. I often eat sukiyaki at Yoshinoya, but the beef sukiyaki was a dish where the ingredients for beef bowl are cooked instead of stewed. It seemed different from a grilled beef bowl, but not that different from a beef bowl with extra onions. There were plenty of onions, making it look like a beef bowl with lots of onions. I usually add an egg to my beef bowl, so I think it would have been even tastier with an egg on top of the beef sukiyaki (^。^) It was a sukiyaki dish, but even with my sensitive tongue, I could enjoy it.

Arriving in Itami on a flight that cut it close to the gate, I made it to Abeno on the last bus without any issues. Feeling hungry, I searched for a place to eat, but it was already 10 pm and options for dining without alcohol were limited. I decided to visit Yoshinoya for the first time in a while and tried their extra-large beef bowl. Among the major chains, Yoshinoya has always been my favorite in terms of taste, although I used to think Sukiya had more meat. The extra-large size was just right in terms of flavor. Since it was the first day of their Negi-daku promotion, there were plenty of fresh onions in the bowl.

Today's lunch was at the Yoshinoya Via Abeno Walk store, a chain specializing in beef bowls. It had been a while since I last visited Yoshinoya. I used to be a shareholder and had shareholder coupons, but I sold them and haven't had the chance to visit again. Looking at the menu, I noticed they have a new item - the "Karaage Set Meal". I was particularly interested in the "Tartar Nanban Karaage Set Meal". I sat down and placed my order. I asked for the "Negi Shio Karaage with Tartar". The staff seemed confused and clarified that the toppings are on regular karaage, not the negi shio karaage. I ended up ordering the Negi Shio Karaage Set Meal. The portion was quite generous and looked very filling. The karaage was covered in a lot of Negi Shio sauce. It was hot and flavorful, but the sauce was a bit overpowering and made it too salty. I think a little adjustment would make it even more delicious. The karaage itself was not made of juicy thigh meat. Overall, it was a satisfying meal, but I think with a little more effort, it could be even better. The miso soup was included in the set meal, which cost 750 yen for a regular size. Yoshinoya is a bit on the pricier side compared to other similar chains. It was convenient to be able to pay with electronic money.

I tried comparing them, but couldn't tell the difference (lol) It's a dish where beef bowl juices are drained, placed on a hot plate, and topped with grilled miso sauce. It was delicious, but I wish it had a little more creativity.

I use it in between work errands. The store here and the one near Tennoji North Exit are very close, so as a Yoshinoya fan, I am very happy! Even during relatively busy hours, I can eat without having to wait too long, which is much appreciated!
