This Exib was excited for their first visit. It seems that there have been some changes since July 2023. They received a complimentary drink, either non-alcoholic sparkling or by registering with LINE. The location is quiet and the building is charming. They had a choice of meat or fish, pasta or pizza. The dessert was a buffet, and coffee and tea were complimentary. The desserts had a simple and gentle taste.

As a member of the exclusive club, the service at Exib is excellent. They use a variety of ingredients that are enjoyable. The atmosphere is nice, and the portion sizes are just right. You can order different courses separately, so sharing allows you to try a variety of dishes and have a great time.

I had breakfast at Trattoria Giovano at Exiv Kyoto Yase after staying overnight. The restaurant has a bright and open atmosphere with full glass windows letting in the morning sun. Despite being an Italian restaurant, they served an American breakfast for the morning. The interior is designed in monochrome colors, with striking red glasses. I was seated by the window where I could see the garden from the stylish restaurant. I started with a fresh and crunchy salad. As I finished the salad, yogurt, fruits, bread, scrambled eggs, potatoes, sausages, and other warm dishes were served one after another. You can have seconds of bread, so be careful not to overeat. Trattoria Giovano breakfast is served from 7:30 to 10:00.

I enjoyed a wonderful meal at the Italian restaurant "Giovano" in Yase-no-se, Sakyo-ku, Kyoto City, located inside Exiv Kyoto Yase Rikyu. The dishes were made with locally sourced ingredients. I found the a la carte breakfast at Exiv to be more satisfying.

Every spring, we visit the main temple of a Zen temple with our family and then go to Exiv Kyoto Yase Rikyu. It is connected to Rurikoin, so it is our favorite place during the blue and red leaves season. Although there are many places in Kyoto that we want to visit, they were all rejected, so we spend time being filial to our parents. For dinner, we had Italian cuisine and for breakfast, we had Japanese cuisine at Hareki. After breakfast, we head back home. This kind of use of time may feel luxurious in a way. I visited the Italian trattoria Giovanno at Exiv Kyoto Yase Rikyu in Kyoto Yase for the first time! A friend invited me as they are a member of Exiv. Today we ordered the Casual Course Pacey, which costs 8,400 yen per person (drinks not included). There are not many dining options near Exiv Kyoto, so I recommend having a meal at the hotel. There are various restaurants such as teppanyaki and Italian, but my friend recommended the Italian restaurant, so we decided to try it out! The atmosphere of the restaurant was perfect, with a luxurious feel and spacious interior where you can enjoy your meal at a leisurely pace. Everything was delicious. Italian restaurant located in Kyoto's Shugakuin Imperial Villa. I had a meal with beer and white wine. The salmon salad, beef tongue stew, mushroom soup, seafood pasta, beef loin, and dessert were all delicious. The salmon and pasta were especially tasty. Thank you for the meal.

Mysterious Gourmet Expedition in Kyoto. Today we went on a Kyoto expedition to see the autumn leaves at Rurikoin. After witnessing the magnificent scenery, we had lunch nearby. So we went to the Italian restaurant, Giovanno, at Exicube Kyoto Yase Rikyu. The restaurant is located in the basement of the North Wing, down a long corridor. Today we were guided to a private room at the back. Despite being underground, the room had a nice atmosphere with a view of the inner courtyard. We reserved the 3,850 yen course, which includes a 10% service charge. The course includes appetizer, soup, pasta, main dish, dessert, and drink. The appetizer was a seafood terrine with scallops as the main feature. The soup was sweet potato soup. The pasta was tuna and tomato pasta. I chose the grilled four-element pork as the main dish, which was tender and delicious. The dessert was yuzu sherbet and flanboise gelato. I requested a taxi to move to another location after the meal, and they handled it promptly. Although a service charge was added, I believe it was worth it for the service provided. There are not many restaurants near Yase Hieizanguchi Station, so it's a good option after visiting Rurikoin. It was a very delicious experience.

When staying at the Excel Hotel, the most affordable option for dining was the Italian course. It had a good amount of food, tasted delicious, and was served quickly. There were many restaurants to choose from, but I'm glad I went with the Italian option.

Visited "Jobarno" at Yase-Hiei Mountain Gate in Kyoto. It is an Italian restaurant located in "Exiv Yase Rikyu." The hotel's entrance, using water, creates a fantastic atmosphere. Being at the foot of Mt. Hiei, it is very convenient for enjoying Mt. Hiei sightseeing from the Kyoto side. The hospitality of the staff, the spacious rooms, and the hot springs are all quite good, making it a recommended hotel to stay at. The restaurant with a terrace overlooking the view has a great sense of openness. Today, I ordered a course menu. In order: - Terrine with plenty of seafood - Mushroom Ajillo - Today's vegetable soup (pumpkin potage) - Today's pasta - Instant grilled domestic beef loin, risotto with girolle mushrooms and lotus root - Watermelon and rum mojito-style lemon sherbet Overall, the taste is very good. All the dishes are well-balanced and have a good flavor. I think both the pasta and the meat taste good. The hospitality of the staff is also good. Overall, the service level at Exiv is good. The only point to mention is that, regarding the main meat dish and other protein ingredients, I feel that the amount of ingredients is a bit small. That's a bit disappointing. The meal is not cheap, so I would like to see improvement in that aspect. It was delicious. I will come again. Thank you for the meal.

I stopped by for lunch while enjoying the autumn leaves. The restaurant has a spacious and bright interior. It was a weekday afternoon, and there were many groups of women and families. The dishes were all beautifully presented and tasted delicious. The pesto pasta was the best I've ever had! I usually don't eat pesto because of its strong flavor, but I could easily have seconds of this one! The portion size was not huge, but it was satisfying. Being able to get refills on bread was a nice touch. Also, being able to have a glass of wine starting from the 700 yen range was reassuring (laughs).

I stayed at the Exiv in April and visited this Italian restaurant for dinner. The subdued lighting and quiet atmosphere made me excited to dress up a bit. Every dish was delicious, especially the fresh pasta which was incredibly rich and the sauce was so good I couldn't leave any behind. The main meat dish was tender and packed with flavor. Since I don't drink alcohol, I had sparkling mineral water. The attentive service from the staff was impressive. I casually ordered the 7000 yen course and a kids set. It was my first time trying Italian cuisine as I usually only eat Japanese food. The meal consisted of appetizers, soup, pasta, and steak for the main course. The dessert was delicious and exceeded my expectations. Although the portion size seemed small, it was actually quite satisfying. Since it was my birthday, they surprised me with a whole cake and a special dessert platter. I was so full by the end of the meal. The kids set was well-prepared with a generous portion size. I've decided to switch from Japanese to Italian cuisine after this wonderful dining experience.

I wanted to eat Italian food after having lots of traditional Japanese New Year dishes, so I made a reservation. I had a casual Italian full course meal at Pesci, which included seared scallops and mushroom salad, seasonal vegetable pickles, seasonal vegetable soup, pasta of the day with broccoli and squid, Kobe beef taliata, and baked apple with ginger accent. The pasta was light and slightly bland, but the Kobe beef was well-seasoned and satisfying. The meal had a lot of vegetables, including some rare Western vegetables that I don't usually eat, so it was a good opportunity to try something new. Bread was served from the beginning, and I was quite full by the end. The dessert was a highlight, with delicious ice cream and a refreshing baked apple. The window seat offered a beautiful view of the illumination, especially if you go early and can see the transition from evening to night. The menu arrived quickly, and I left very satisfied.

The autumn abalone pasta lunch with a glass of white wine cost 5400 yen. Firstly, the appetizer. Smoked salmon served with yogurt sauce flavored with herbs and beet sauce. The colors are beautiful. However, it would have been better if the salmon pieces were bite-sized and a knife was provided. Next, pumpkin soup in a cappuccino style. It was hot and delicious. The main pasta dish was fantastic. It contained one piece of abalone and Kyoto green onion, with the texture and aroma of thinly sliced shiitake mushrooms adding a nice accent. On Saturday at 5:30 PM, when we arrived at the restaurant, it was already full. The seats on the garden side seemed nicer. We ordered the Chef's Special Course "Sajittario" for ¥15,400 including tax and 10% service charge, a Kids Plate for ¥2,200 including tax and service charge, and a Margherita Pizza for ¥1,760 including tax and service charge. The food was delicious. We thought we ordered the Junior Course for the kids, but they brought the Kids Plate instead. Maybe I made a mistake in ordering?
