Visit date and time: 22:45 on a weekday Waiting time: None Menu: A la carte, bar hopping The last stop was Dada-kko. We arrived just before closing time. We started with a toast with beer and ordered Ise Udon as a finale. The soft udon noodles with seaweed and soy sauce were delicious. Mixing in the egg halfway through added another layer of flavor. I drank quite a bit today, so a hangover is guaranteed for tomorrow. Thank you for the meal.

Summary: Established in 1982, this long-standing restaurant in Mie offers local sake and Ise udon. The owner focuses on serving gentle and nutritious food to promote inner beauty. Their Instagram account, "Dadakko Club," showcases their specialty dishes like the famous tororo-yaki made with local eggs and mountain yams, as well as oysters from Ise Bay, Mie's local chicken, and ancient black rice onigiri. The restaurant also features Ise-Shima pottery made in a homemade climbing kiln, passed down from the previous generation. Since its founding in 1978, they have continued to refine their secret soy sauce marinade. They offer a selection of Mie's pure rice sake, carefully selected shochu, beer with fine bubbles served in pottery, and homemade fruit liquor. The entire restaurant is non-smoking to create a pleasant dining environment. Interior: The 37-seat U-shaped counter table, 17-seat table seating, and 20-seat tatami room can accommodate reservations for groups of 4 to 20 people. There are private rooms available for 4, 6, 8, 10 to 20 people on the second floor. The restaurant has a retro atmosphere with antique furniture and a menu displayed on hanging clips. Ordered Menu (tax included): - Assorted appetizers: 6 types of side dishes - Fig tempura - Okra tempura - Potato with butter - White eggplant tempura - Today's sashimi - Pumpkin simmered dish - Pork and rice bake - Tororo-yaki - Tuna Karaage - Mozuku vinegar - Barley tea - Owase's famous water 1000ml Impressions: This cozy restaurant in a quiet residential area offers a warm and welcoming atmosphere. The owner, who also serves as the sole server, prepares dishes in the kitchen. The restaurant was bustling on a Saturday night, with almost every seat occupied. The unique menu names and the owner's entertaining explanations add to the charm of the dining experience. Despite the busy crowd, the ordering and serving process was relaxed. The dishes were not only delicious but also nutritious, providing a delightful dining experience.

Visit time: 20:15 on a weekday Waiting time: None Menu: A la carte This restaurant is particular about using ingredients from Mie, and they have a wide selection of Mie local sake. They mainly serve Junmai sake. The appetizer plate that comes with the meal is good, but the Osaka Abeno Ise Udon is recommended. The Ise Udon is soft and fluffy, with a slight firmness left in the Osaka style, creating a unique blend of the two styles. The udon paired with the special soy sauce broth is delicious. The udon alone is so good that I always end up coming back just for it. Thank you for the meal.

I visited Ise Mon Izakaya, a restaurant in Abeno-ku, Osaka, which is dedicated to using ingredients from Mie Prefecture. It is located in a narrow alley with a hidden, cozy atmosphere, and has only counter seats in a U-shaped layout. I ordered Mie sake and a variety of daily specials and local dishes. We started with a homemade fruit liquor blend of six types for a toast. The appetizers included six different daily specials like sesame tofu, konjac, imitation crab, freeze-dried tofu, sweet potato, and sweet pumpkin, which were healthy and delicious. We also had dishes like simmered flounder, beef tendon stew, giant fried dumplings, smoked Mie mackerel, tomato sauce cabbage rolls, tuna tempura, and a unique dish called "Very H" (an adult-themed meat dish). We enjoyed different types of sake, including aged shochu, and whiskey highball made with local ingredients. The meal ended with more sake varieties like Junmai sake and special Junmai Ginjo sake. The food was delicious and the atmosphere was cozy, making it a great dining experience.

I am looking for an izakaya around Tennoji and happened to find this restaurant on Tabelog. It's located deep in a narrow alley, so it's not easy to find without navigation. The atmosphere is very hidden and cozy! Inside, there is a U-shaped counter seating arrangement surrounding the owner. Since there were four of us, we asked if there were table seats, but unfortunately, there were none. We sat at the corner of the counter. We were served six types of obanzai as a starter, which was very satisfying and complemented the drinks well. The quality of the dishes was high and meticulously prepared. They have a variety of local sake from Mie Prefecture, and when we asked for recommendations, the owner simply said they were all good with a straight face. We also ordered tororo yaki and agedashi tofu, which were delicious and served in generous portions. However, the atmosphere was very quiet and we felt like we were being watched by the owner, so we didn't feel comfortable chatting loudly. It's a great place for solo diners or small groups like dates, with delicious food and a calm atmosphere, but not suitable for larger groups. I would like to visit this restaurant again!

I had heard that Obanzai was delicious at this place for a while. I visited around 8 pm without a reservation and was able to enter smoothly. The interior has a calm atmosphere with a traditional Japanese house style. In the middle, there is a counter in the shape of a "C" with several Obanzai dishes lined up on top. There are 6 types of appetizers. This alone makes for a good accompaniment. Personally, I liked the okara the best. I ordered Tagoshimi sake. It was a well-balanced and easy-to-drink sake. When I ordered the sake, I also received a refreshing water, which was delicious. You can see the owner's commitment in the details. As further accompaniments, I ordered doteyaki, tororo yaki, and smoked mackerel (I forgot to take a photo). First, the smoked mackerel. I ate it in one bite, and the aroma and taste were unique. I regret not savoring it while enjoying my drink. Next was the doteyaki in red miso. It was made with 100% beef without ingredients like konjac. The meat fibers were tender and melted in the mouth, with a sinful deliciousness. I ordered another drink at this point. I tried Rumiko's sake, which I had been curious about. It didn't have the image of a girl on the label, but was simply labeled "RIE STYLE." According to the owner, it was a rare item, so I drank it with excitement. It had a slightly weighty aroma, reminiscent of a mountain-style sake, with a rich flavor that was smooth and crisp. It paired well with the strong-flavored doteyaki. Lastly, I had tororo yaki. While it looked ordinary, the soy sauce used was likely from Mie, giving it a mellow yet flavorful taste. The balance of egg and tororo was exquisite! I finished with Ise udon. It's a bit of a walk from the station, but the atmosphere and Obanzai were both great. There were also playful elements throughout. Thank you for the feast.

On this day, I went to Dada-kko, a sake and obanzai izakaya in a back alley in Abeno. Surprisingly, it was established in 1978 and has a long history. The current owner incorporates the traditional pottery from Ise-Shima and local dishes from Mie. I was amazed by the deliciousness that I could feel the dedication even though the hot pot was only 980 yen! #Abeno-ku #Abeno #Near Abeno Crossing #Back alley #Dada-kko #Mie sake #Obanzai #Izakaya #Hidden gem

The daily assorted plate of Mie dishes and Mie prefecture sake served at a Mie restaurant is all delicious. The Osaka-style Abeno Ise Udon, improved by the master, has an addictive taste. They also offer interesting promotions like serving limited quantities of 1480ml of draft beer (Choke Big).

On June 24th, 2017, I had the simmered eggplant, doteyaki, and cheese karikari, all of which were rated highly. On July 16th, 2015, I tried the daily special plate with 6 dishes, smoked mackerel from Shima, and the famous tororo-yaki. On June 5th, 2013, I enjoyed a tasting set of three local sake from Mie, a plate of 6 daily specials, and the giant octopus dish. The atmosphere was quiet due to a nearby typhoon, but the food was delicious and worth the visit.

I had some errands to run in Tennoji, so I walked there from home~☆ It was cold and snowing lightly. It was really cold, not just a little bit haha. I was actually heading to a different store, but they had a sold out sign today, so I took a less traveled path. I found a restaurant in a small alley! I mustered up the courage to open the door and went in, with one customer already inside. I sat on the other side from the other customer and placed my order. I ordered the daily special, which came with chicken cutlet on the side, and I was completely full afterwards! Hmm, I'd like to come back for dinner too. But when I read other people's reviews, I started to feel unsure about how the restaurant is at night. Oh well, that's it for now (꒪ȏ꒪;)

We used this place for a drinking party with our colleagues. We made a reservation for Friday night, but they only offered set courses and we couldn't order individual dishes. It was a bit disappointing because there was a dish I wanted to try, but oh well... The restaurant is located in the middle of a residential area, with a quaint old house-like appearance. It's tucked away in a back alley off Abeno-suji. The first floor has a counter, which would be nice for solo drinkers. We were directed to the second floor. The atmosphere was warm and cozy, like a country house. We ordered a 7-course meal for 2,480 yen, but apart from the Ise udon and dessert, all the dishes were already on the table. It was a new experience, but I would have preferred the hot dishes to be served hot. Overall, the food seemed a bit bland. It was so mild that even someone like me who prefers mild flavors noticed it, so it must have been quite bland. Having a variety of dishes in small portions is great for drinkers. I would like to try dishes other than the course meal next time.

Today, are my classmates and my older brother drinking since morning again? We were told to save some for the night, so where to next? They said they're going to Ise. Once again, I thought it was some nonsense, but when we arrived at the shop, it all made sense! The shop's banner said "Mie's local sake"... that's what they meant. As we were looking at the menu, my brother was already ordering a set of three different sakes for comparison. They prepared a variety of dishes on a large plate for us to choose from. The menu had some uniquely named items lined up. "Just tell us what you like!" they said, so we ordered grated yam, braised pork, chicken skin dumplings, and mochi cheese bake. The place didn't feel like a chain store, which was reassuring. I couldn't tell the difference between the frozen packs and freshly made dishes, but that's something the Bubble generation wouldn't understand. My brother was busy drinking refill after refill of sake, while I was just focused on enjoying the delicious food. It was so good! Just as customers choose their restaurants, restaurants also choose their customers. We believe that having standards, being particular about quality, and making delicious food are important. It seems like there's been a lot of talk about this recently. We think that customers who rely solely on internet reviews are the ones who cause the most trouble. Just because you're a customer doesn't mean you can act however you want. There's etiquette for diners too, and that's something we always keep in mind.

There is a shop near the apartment behind Abeno Bridge. When you go there for the first time, you might feel a bit nervous wondering if it really exists (laughs). When you enter the shop, you take off your shoes and it feels like visiting someone's home, giving a sense of comfort. The first floor has only a counter, and inside the counter, there is a friendly shop staff. The dishes mainly focus on Ise cuisine, and although the prices are low, it's better to expect moderate portion sizes. For women who want to try various types of dishes in small quantities, this is a great shop. I planned to order the assorted obanzai first, and eat it while drinking, but it took a while to come out. Depending on how crowded it is, you shouldn't expect a speedy service from this shop. The smoked mackerel was really delicious. I would like to eat it again. The variety of alcohol is quite rich, and the Sapporo Lager with the red star is recommended for a toast as it has a satisfying taste. They also offer a comparison of different types of sake, and they can advise you on the best order to drink them in. There were also some solo female customers at the counter, so if you don't rush, you might strike up a conversation with strangers, regardless of gender. I think it's a pretty good shop. Thank you for the meal.

Last month's unusual event → World's first! Sensory illumination☆ Temari Cocoon on the way back, there was a strange food experience at a place called "Ise Mon Izakaya Dadako," so we decided to stop by. The restaurant opens at 6:00 PM, and they do not take reservations, so we were told to be seated in the order of arrival. We arrived early at 5:50 PM to wait for the opening. From the outside, it looked like a regular izakaya specializing in Mie's local sake, Ise udon, and obanzai dishes. As soon as the restaurant opened, customers started coming in one after another, and within a few minutes, it was fully packed. We took off our shoes and changed into slippers before entering. The second floor seemed to be for banquet-style seating, while the first floor had U-shaped counter seats only. The menu had some exciting choices, and we decided on a regular drink for our first order. However, we later discovered the daily recommended drink menu in a blind spot from where we were seated. The "Ninja Ale" caught our attention, and we also added the "Men's Energy Chu-Hi" for an extra kick. The Men's Energy Chu-Hi tasted like an energy drink, and we couldn't help but notice the intriguing item on the menu called "Women's Milk." Some might read it as something naughty, but I quickly realized it was just a menu item. This Women's Milk led us to the main attraction, the strange gourmet experience we came for. We had seen it in online images, but seeing it in real life would surely help us understand it better. We were eager to order it right away, but a fellow diner advised us to wait until we were a bit tipsy. The atmosphere was lively and full of customers, making it a bit nerve-wracking to place an order. However, the owner personally delivered our order with a loud announcement, "Here it is, a very naughty first experience!" This prompted other customers to start ordering the same item, and we couldn't help but laugh and take photos. The dish had seaweed, ketchup, and sliced onions, and it was a creation born out of a joke among regular customers. This was just a side dish, and the main attractions were the daily obanzai dishes lined up on the counter. We chose some appetizing options and enjoyed dishes like oyster and tsukudani, a daily obanzai assortment, chikuwa tempura, the famous tororo yaki, the popular doteyaki, and the signature Abeno Ise udon. It was a delightful izakaya experience with or without the unique dish, "a very embarrassing first experience."笑 The above is just a side dish, so the main dishes were the daily obanzai dishes lined up at the counter. Obanzai's placement changes from time to time, so we chose one portion each of oysters and tsukudani-like dishes, a daily obanzai assortment of six plates, chikuwa tempura, the famous tororo yaki, the popular doteyaki, and the signature Abeno Ise udon for the finale. It was a delicious izakaya with excellent appetizers. Izakaya Dadako (Abeno Ward, Abeno-suji) Store Information: http://www.hotpepper.jp/strJ000507827/

I had checked the location in advance through reviews, but I still got lost in the back alleys. Once inside the restaurant, it felt like I was visiting someone's countryside home, and I immediately felt at ease. The warm lighting and the counter filled with side dishes added to the cozy atmosphere. When I asked the waitress for a recommendation, she suggested a light and easy-to-drink plum wine popular among women, so I ordered that. What came out was a generous serving of plum wine in a unique handmade cup. The plum wine was sweet and very easy to drink, just as I was told. The dishes, such as doteyaki using miso, were delicious. The portion sizes were generally small, and it seemed like they focused more on the drinks!

[July 2014] We visited the izakaya "Dadakko" in Osaka, known for serving Ise cuisine, with a friend. The restaurant is located in Osaka but specializes in Ise dishes, which are referred to as "Ise mon". The first floor has a counter seat, while the second floor is dedicated to banquet seating. We reserved the 1980 yen course menu for four people, which included 5 dishes. The decor is traditional Japanese with a focus on Ise cuisine, as the previous owner was from Ise. The current owner, the second generation, continues to uphold this tradition. We ordered various dishes, including the daily assorted plate, Dadakko salad, croquettes, homemade tofu, black rice onigiri, specialty tororo yaki, Ise udon, and dessert. The atmosphere was cozy, and we enjoyed the delicious food and great conversation with friends. The restaurant is located near Abeno-suji, with a view of Abeno Harukas. I highly recommend it to those interested in Ise cuisine. [June 2014] We visited the izakaya "Dadakko" for the third time at Abeno Bar. This restaurant specializes in Mie sake and Ise cuisine made from natural, additive-free ingredients. We ordered the half-size Ise udon with grapefruit juice and oolong tea. Ise udon is a thick, chewy noodle dish from the Ise region, topped with green onions, sesame seeds, bonito flakes, seaweed, and egg. The unique black sauce may surprise first-time diners, but it is actually a rich soy-based sauce with a strong umami flavor. After visiting multiple bars, we were satisfied with the delicious food.

I knew about Ise Udon from TV and magazines, but I always thought you had to go to Ise to eat it. However, a friend told me that there is a place in Abeno where you can eat Ise Udon, so I decided to go try it out. I found the restaurant by walking down a narrow alley from Abeno-suji. The exterior of the restaurant looked really nice. Inside, it had a warm, cozy feel like a traditional inn. I sat at the counter and ordered the Ise Udon right away. I had seen Ise Udon on TV before, but this was my first time seeing it in person. The black broth was at the bottom of the bowl, and you're supposed to mix it with the udon as you eat. The broth was rich in flavor, but the noodles were thicker than I expected, which was just right. It had a completely different taste from other udon broths, with a delicious combination of soy sauce and dashi. I heard that this restaurant also serves local Ise dishes and offers a variety of Ise sake. I definitely want to come back with a friend who loves sake.
