After finishing my study, I decided to visit "Onoe," a popular and affordable sushi restaurant located between Hotel Nikko Fukuoka and Royal Park Hotel. The welcoming smile at the entrance made me feel at ease, and I ordered the "Sushi Lunch Special" at the counter. The meal started with three appetizers and a small side dish, all simple but well-prepared. The main dish, a sushi platter with 11 pieces of nigiri and a roll, was delicious, with warm anago, firm tai, and flavorful ebi. The akagai and spicy kazunoko provided a refreshing finish, and the ikura hand roll was elegantly presented. The toro and kappamaki rolls were also enjoyable, especially the crunchy cucumber. Great value lunch at Hakata Station "Onoue" Located in front of Hakata Station, Onoue offers a sushi lunch set for 980 yen. The portion of sushi is 8 pieces with a moderate amount of rice, which was just right for me. Many male customers opt for the "extra-large" portion. The set also includes appetizers, agar jelly, miso soup, chawanmushi, and dessert. All of this for 980 yen is amazing value. Overall, a great lunch spot with good cost performance.

I ordered the regular sushi lunch for 980 yen (tax included). The lunch included miso soup, chawanmushi, and a side dish of boiled spinach. The sushi set consisted of 8 pieces, all of which were delicious. The meal ended with a small dessert. Overall, it was a satisfying lunch with a variety of dishes at a reasonable price.

The service was polite and the variety was good. It was nice to have chawanmushi, miso soup, and dessert included. However, I think reducing the number of sushi pieces and making each one slightly bigger would help convey the deliciousness better.

Today's lunch was at Hakata Sushi Restaurant Onoe-san! It's quite a good value for money! The appetizer with 3 dishes feels like a good deal! The pickled radish was delicious! The seafood yukke with negitoro-style topping had kanpachi underneath! My companion had squid, tuna, and kanpachi in theirs! Mine was just kanpachi, but that's okay! My companion really liked the seasoning! The tamagoyaki was average. The spinach ohitashi was also average. The sushi was served in sets of four pieces each. The battera was tasty but thin. The squid was simply delicious. The octopus was also very tasty. The seared salmon was easy to eat. The chawanmushi with mochi was a bit too melted, which was a bit disappointing. But it was still tasty. The miso soup was delicious with a good dashi flavor. The second round included the best item, the futomaki! The seared sardine had no fishy taste and was delicious. I think it was a shellfish, but I'm not sure. It had a crunchy texture and was tasty. The shrimp was average. Overall, the sushi had thin toppings. At 880 yen including tax, it's a decent price for sushi. It's nice to be able to enjoy sushi at a reasonable price. The staff and head chef were friendly and provided excellent service. The restaurant has table and counter seats, and it gives off a casual vibe for a sushi place. They found "fins sake (700 yen)" on the menu on the wall and decided to try it. It had been a while since they had fins sake, and it was delicious, but they felt like they might get drunk. They also had "raw karasumi (500 yen)," which is salted raw fish roe, perfect for snacking. It's delicious even when eaten with rice. The sushi set (8 pieces: 1980 yen) included items like conger eel, tuna, mackerel, shrimp, salmon roe, sea bream, squid, and sardine. The rice and toppings were average, according to the person's companion. For this price, it seemed reasonable. The tekka maki (400 yen) was ordinary. The miso soup that came with the sushi was delicious with a good broth. Despite being a sushi restaurant, the menu had many izakaya-style dishes. The atmosphere was lively rather than calm for enjoying sushi, giving more of an izakaya vibe. Looking at other reviews, it seems that the lunch menu is popular and offers good value.

This is a new sushi restaurant that has opened in the place where the Italian restaurant Fumino used to be. It's quite close to my office, so I invited two colleagues to come with me for lunch. The interior of the restaurant still has some of the atmosphere from the previous restaurant, but now it has a sushi restaurant feel to it. For first-time visitors, I don't think there would be any noticeable difference. There was a big signboard in front of the store that said "Sushi Lunch 880 yen," so all three of us ordered that. The lunch set included appetizers, side dishes, 8 pieces of sushi, chawanmushi (steamed egg custard), soup, and dessert, all for 880 yen. I think that's a pretty good deal. They also have a sushi lunch set with 11 pieces of sushi and extra rolls for 1080 yen. I will definitely be coming back here for sushi lunch whenever I'm in the mood for it.
