I visited at 10:28 in the morning. It was full and had to wait. Went to Yoshinoya in Daikokucho, but they were undergoing renewal construction. Ended up going to Yoshinoya in Namba CITY. It seems to be popular. It was a bit calmer after the morning rush. I had the ham egg and natto set meal x1. Changed the clam soup to miso soup this time, as I always have clam soup. I got extra rice. Used my own dressing. Mixed the natto and fried egg with the rice. Payment: This Yoshinoya doesn't accept credit cards, but they do accept PayPay. The Tpoint ticket receipt came out together. I wonder if I won 30 points (*._.)?

I visited in the morning around 9:30. It was super busy, but I managed to get a table seat. The counter was too crowded with luggage, so it was tough. I ordered the ham and egg with natto set meal, with extra rice. I changed the miso soup to clam soup.

Today, it suddenly got cold again, so I decided to have a solo hot pot for lunch! I ordered the regular size of beef sukiyaki hot pot meal, and it arrived after a while. It was simmering in an iron pot, piping hot and delicious! I started by dipping the ingredients in the egg and eating it sukiyaki style. The flavor was rich, perfect with rice, so of course one bowl wasn't enough (laughs). Since refills are free at this restaurant, I asked for extra rice with my meal. Lastly, I put all the leftover ingredients from the hot pot on top and made my own beef bowl. It was delicious! Thank you for the meal! Recently, major beef bowl chain restaurants have been causing controversy. Whether it's the remarks made by executives or the green tea at Sukiya, Yoshinoya and Zensho are both facing difficulties. However, Yoshinoya took swift action, so their stock price wasn't affected much. Zensho also wasn't affected. Yoshinoya has finally released a parent and child bowl. Only Nakau had been offering this dish among the major beef bowl chains, so I am very interested to see what kind of parent and child bowl Yoshinoya will provide. When evaluating a parent and child bowl, the most important factor for me is the type of meat used. I like thigh meat and dislike breast meat. While you may think they are similar types of chicken meat, the thigh vs. breast meat issue is a very important factor. I came to Yoshinoya to resolve this thigh vs. breast meat issue. I ordered a regular size because I would regret it if it turned out to be breast meat. It arrived. The egg is creamy. It's finished with quite a lot of sauce. First, I take a bite of the chicken meat. Ahh. It's breast meat. The taste of the chicken meat is good, but you can feel the dryness typical of breast meat. It's such a shame that it was breast meat, even though it was nicely prepared. The parent and child bowl features a creamy smooth egg, firm chicken meat, crunchy onions, and Yoshinoya's special sauce, allowing you to enjoy the different textures. I visited the restaurant "Yoshinoya Namba CITY Minami-kan Store" for lunch on this day. It was a short lunch break before catching the Nankai train for work, so I decided to stop by Yoshinoya for the first time in a while. I was planning to order the usual beef bowl, but I was intrigued by the limited-time menu item, the "Tsukimi Gyudon" priced at 602 yen (tax included). It seems that Yoshinoya is also offering menu items related to the moon-viewing theme for autumn. The Tsukimi Gyudon comes with a raw egg in a separate dish, which you crack and pour over the beef bowl. It's like having double the egg with the beef and egg topping, which is perfect for egg lovers. It was delicious. Thank you for the meal!

I visited the restaurant at 09:30 in the morning. There was one customer before me and five customers after me. Two customers ordered takeout. I ordered the Natto small dish set meal with a free upgrade to a large serving of rice. I also changed the clam soup to a different soup. The Morning Beef set meal seems to be a good deal as the miso soup almost becomes free.

I visited at 9:15 in the morning. Namba gourmet stamp rally → OK so... there were quite a few customers. There were people ordering beef bowls in the morning... everyone was male though... ◆ Ordered ham and egg natto set x 1. They accidentally gave me a large serving of rice for free (^^;) ◆ Clam soup x 1. They asked for a T card or Rakuten card on the way out, but I forgot to show my Namba CITY card (T_T)

"I thought it was a good opportunity to compare, so this time I ordered two types of curry, spicy curry and black curry, at this restaurant. Yoshinoya not only serves beef bowls but also curry at some of its stores, and this store in Namba is one of them. Currently, Yoshinoya is offering a special promotion called the 'Karaage Festival' where fried chicken is discounted, along with the 'Curry Festival' featuring the popular 'Black Curry' and the 'Spicy Curry' that was temporarily brought back from August 2020. I decided to order the revived 'Beef Spicy Curry' and the regular 'Black Curry' to try them side by side. When I tried them, the 'Spicy Curry' was similar to the standard curry at Matsuya and Sukiya, with a refreshing spiciness alongside richness. On the other hand, the 'Black Curry' had a depth of flavor using caramelized onions, reminiscent of the slightly bitter demiglace sauce found in some Western-style restaurants. Taste preferences vary, but if you enjoy a spicy and refreshing flavor for summer, I recommend trying the 'Spicy Curry' during this limited time offer."

I had lunch on a day when I was in the city for errands, so I went to Yoshinoya in Namba City for the first time in many years. It was not crowded because it was past lunchtime. I ordered the Beef Bowl with Grated Yam and Rice Set because I love grated yam. It was a hot day, so I was able to eat it quickly and the rice was delicious and satisfying. I was full with this amount. There were other menu items that caught my eye, so I would like to visit again when I am nearby.

Ah, today's dinner was so much fun. It's important to talk outside of work too. As I was walking home, I noticed that my stomach was getting empty. The lights were off at Yoshinoya, but they were still open. I ordered the beef sukiyaki set with double the meat. It was delicious. I wonder why it's so tasty. They're open 24 hours a day, all year round, at such a reasonable price, serving such great food. If they keep this up, I won't know what to do (laughs).

"I wonder if this one is more refreshing." Just the other day, I had a spicy beef suki hot pot with a Sichuan twist at Sukiya, and today I tried Yoshinoya's spicy beef hot pot. The dish I had this time was the "Mala Beef Hot Pot Set," which consists of a soup made from pork bones and chicken bones, with the addition of the spicy sauce by Chef Chen Jianyi, a renowned Sichuan cuisine master from Sichuan Restaurant. The ingredients are simmered in this soup and finished with a drizzle of Sichuan peppercorn oil. Upon trying it, I noticed that unlike the hot pot at Sukiya, the meat here is not heavily seasoned, or is lightly flavored without much sweetness. The soup also had a refreshing spiciness and flavor rather than a rich taste. Additionally, the noodles in the hot pot were flat and thin like kishimen noodles. While the spiciness is not overpowering, the refreshing spiciness stood out compared to the hot pot at Sukiya. This is just my personal opinion, but for those who enjoy kimchi or chili peppers themselves, I would recommend Yoshinoya's hot pot, while for those who prefer complex flavors and richness like curry or other ethnic dishes, I would recommend Sukiya's hot pot. If you haven't tried either of these hot pots yet, feel free to use this as a reference.

On December 7, 2019, Saturday, just before 3:30 PM, I took a break from work and went outside to have a late lunch. Namba was crowded even at this time on a holiday. This restaurant was also 70% full with customers. The staff were busy moving around, and there were some tables with unwashed dishes. I sat at the counter and waited a bit. The staff seemed very busy. Before entering the restaurant, I had already decided to try the limited-time Ma La Beef Hot Pot meal, supervised by the Chinese chef Kenichi Chen. It had been talked about a lot, and I really wanted to try it. When I looked at the menu, I saw that at this time, you could get a free large serving of rice and free refills. So, I asked for the large serving. I was really hungry (laughs). Due to the location, there were also many foreign customers, and it seemed like the staff were having a hard time handling everything. Some of the staff also seemed to be international students, speaking a bit hesitantly. The food was served quickly, it was cheap, and it was delicious. Yoshinoya has expanded its menu a lot, and now you order verbally instead of using food tickets, so it seems quite challenging! The customer next to me ordered a beef bowl, but it didn't come quickly. Also, they forgot to bring water and tea to some tables. The layout of the seating area makes this restaurant feel a bit chaotic. Well, it can't be helped. Now, about the beef hot pot meal - the spiciness I was expecting wasn't there. It was slightly spicy, but maybe it's meant to be more universally appealing? Despite being called Ma La, there was no numbing sensation from the Sichuan peppercorns. Even when I crushed the chili pepper that came with it, it only made it slightly spicier. It felt a bit lacking (laughs). The taste was delicious, though. There were plenty of vegetables, and the flat udon noodles were good. The iron pot kept the food hot until the end, thanks to the solid fuel. That was a good point. After finishing my errands in Osaka, it was finally time for me to enjoy my favorite hobby - shopping. There is a place I occasionally visit for shopping, the Sen-nichimae Doguyasuji Shopping Street. This time, I went there to choose a new knife as a replacement for the ones I have been using for many years. There is a type of knife called "Sakai knife for filial piety" that I have been using for a long time, and I decided to buy a few new ones as the old ones can no longer be sharpened. But first, I felt a bit hungry...I didn't want to carry the knives around with me, so I decided to satisfy my hunger first. I had a meal at Yoshinoya. I had a regular beef bowl and a regular pork dish. It was delicious. I still think that Yoshinoya serves the best beef bowl. I enjoyed eating the beef with rice and eating pickled ginger in between...midway through, I added the pork meat from the pork dish to the beef bowl and ate them together. Both the beef and pork were delicious in their own ways, and I was satisfied. After leaving Yoshinoya, I went to the shop I was looking for. I always get lost in the showcase trying to decide which knife to choose. Is it this one? Or that one? No, maybe this one...after much consideration, I bought two knives. I will use them as they are for now, and the attachment to the knives will grow even stronger when I need to sharpen them. I was satisfied after eating at Yoshinoya and buying the knives I wanted.

I'm in Osaka. It's Namba. It's almost the last train at 11 pm. I drank a lot this day, and when I got tired of drinking, I got hungry. I wanted something quick to eat, so I came here. Actually, I first headed to the Namba store under the Hanshin Expressway, but it seemed to close at 11 pm, so I couldn't eat there. That made me want to eat even more, so I came to this place in Namba CITY Minami Building. It seems to be open 24 hours, which was a relief. I quickly ordered a regular-sized beef bowl with miso soup! The beef bowl and miso soup arrived in about 1-2 minutes. I quickly added shichimi pepper and plenty of pickled ginger in a junk food style, and finished it in just 3-4 minutes. When I visited this place a while ago, I was surprised by how little soup there was and how dry it was, but this time, there was just the right amount of soup and it was easy to eat. It seems that the dryness from before was just a one-time thing. Also, I was shocked to find out that not all shops are open 24 hours anymore. It must be the way things are changing with the times.

Recently, I've been feeling a bit stuck with all the reviews of beef bowls, so I decided to try something different and had curry instead. There are a few different options, but since I have a fine pride that insists the meat must be beef, I went with the beef spicy curry. This was my first time trying curry at Yoshinoya, as I have always been loyal to their beef bowls. I've never strayed to pork bowls or beef sukiyaki, always sticking to beef bowls. This time, it was more of a deviation for the sake of a review, rather than cheating. The curry sauce was quite watery and not as spicy as the name suggests. The beef was the usual thin belly meat used in beef bowls, but it had a good flavor. The familiar onions in the curry were likely the same ones used in the beef bowls (laughs). Considering the price of 550 yen for a regular serving, I doubt I'll be straying from beef bowls in the future. Unless the curry is exceptionally delicious, the moral of the story is: if you go to a beef bowl restaurant, stick to the beef bowl and don't cheat. That's the end of my lesson for today. Yoshinoya is not just about beef bowls! Beef dish and warm vegetables? It might be better to have chopped green onions separately. Put plenty of red pickled ginger on the beef dish~ Personally, sprinkle plenty of shichimi (seven-flavor chili pepper)~ Put a lot on the rice too~ I also love putting lots of shichimi in miso soup~ I love junk food too! LOL
