I have reached the final day of my diet and my energy levels have dropped, so I need to do some rehabilitation. I have lost about 3.5kg, which has improved the appearance of my stomach. I am trying to avoid snacking, but I plan to visit my parents' house on Friday to buy offerings, so I came to this store to make the purchase. I often walk past this store on the Chin Chin train line from my house to Sumiyoshi Taisha Shrine, but I rarely go inside. I tried some rice crackers made with white shrimp from Toyama as offerings. I also received some fresh cucumbers that had just arrived in the morning. With these, my preparations for Friday are complete. I need to get used to short walks to prevent dizziness, which has been happening frequently.

I received a limited-time "福ひかり" from "Sasara-ya," a rice cracker shop that uses 100% Toyama rice. The packaging is festive with a decorative furoshiki and New Year's decorations. The set includes various snacks like the famous white shrimp senbei from Toyama. Personally, I couldn't resist the sweet and salty harmony of the "Choco Arare," soy sauce rice crackers coated in chocolate. Chocolate lovers, are you also aiming for this?

The old man sometimes goes to buy traditional Japanese sweets as a gift for his elderly parents. Lately, he has been worried about his parents' health and sudden death, so he visits them every week. He decided to buy a gift each time he visits, and since he travels by bicycle, he has limited options. He often chooses traditional Japanese sweets, particularly ones that are firm and won't get squished during the journey. This time, he bought some shrimp-flavored senbei from a shop called "Sasara-ya" in Sumiyoshi. The senbei had a delicious shrimp flavor with a nice salty taste and a crispy texture. It was so good that he couldn't stop eating it. It's worth trying something other than supermarket senbei once in a while. If you have the chance, give it a try!

The reviewer received white shrimp senbei as a gift from their neighbor who occasionally goes back to their hometown in Toyama. They were impressed by the light and delicious taste of the senbei. While driving through Sumiyoshi Ward, they came across a store with a sign for white shrimp senbei, described as "the jewel of Toyama Bay". They stopped and bought both the individually wrapped and bagged versions of the senbei, made with Toyama rice. The reviewer found the senbei with beans to be delicious and couldn't stop eating them. The white shrimp senbei had just the right balance of shrimp flavor and salt. They were happy to have found such a good store.

I went to deliver the soba noodles I bought as a souvenir at Matsumi-so to someone at the end of the year, and in return, I received "Shiroebi Koban". It says it is made from 100% Toyama rice. "Shiroebi" seems to be something that can be found in Toyama. It is said to inhabit the deep layers of Toyama Bay, and is called the "treasure of Toyama Bay" because of its white, transparent appearance with a light pink color. There are 10 small rice crackers in the shape of koban in a small bag. They are bite-sized. When you bite into them, they are crispy and have a light saltiness like salad rice crackers, but not too salty, with an elegant taste. Before you know it, all 10 are gone. I can understand why someone would buy a large quantity of them.

I visited Sasaraya to buy souvenirs for my hometown visit. The shop is located along the Chin-den street heading north from Sumiyoshi Taisha, with a spacious parking lot for four cars. I could leisurely choose products while sampling them, and even received a complimentary drink while sitting in a chair. I purchased kokiriko as a souvenir and a variety pack for home. The taste of the rice crackers and senbei is average, but they are perfect for gifts. (They have a point card system)

I received this as a souvenir. It seems to be a specialty of Toyama. Highly recommended is the "shiroebi senbei." The saltiness is just right, and you can't stop eating them. The scent of shrimp is subtle at first, but the salty taste may stand out more...?! However, the combination of shrimp and salt flavors is exquisite and irresistible. They are individually packaged, with two pieces in each bag, but they are so delicious that one bag is not enough to satisfy. Suitable for people of all ages and genders, making it a perfect souvenir. If I were to bring a souvenir to someone, I would choose the shiroebi senbei from this shop!
