The restaurant was crowded during lunchtime, but around 6:05 pm it was about 40% full. I was seated at a table in the center and ordered a bite-sized hirekatsu set. They had a buffet corner with lemonade and a salad bar with cabbage, daikon, and corn with sesame dressing. The lemonade was not very sweet, so I added two syrups to improve the taste. The salad was average. The hirekatsu was decent, but the rice and miso soup were just okay. They also had curry rice at the buffet corner with beans and mushrooms, and the meat seemed to be ground meat. It was alright. I paid 1550 yen with a card and headed back to work.

KYK is a tonkatsu chain located in Kyobashi, Osaka. When going with family, it can be difficult to choose a lunch spot around Kyobashi Station during the day. There are many counter-style restaurants, izakayas for the evening, and standing bars for drinking from noon. Some people may not like that atmosphere, so I prefer to have a clean meal in Keihan Mall. However, it had been a while since I visited KYK. Since it's a bit pricey for a solo lunch, I ordered the 140g pork cutlet. I helped myself to cabbage and a drink from the buffet corner. Curry, rice, and miso soup were also all-you-can-eat. The dish was served in about 15 minutes. The pork cutlet was thick and had a nice pink color when cut, indicating it was cooked perfectly. The breading was just right, crispy but not too hard, and the meat was tender and juicy. It truly lived up to KYK's reputation. The sauce was good, but I also enjoyed dipping the pork in mustard and salt to fully appreciate the pork's flavor. In the end, I didn't go for seconds on rice or anything else. I left feeling satisfied. Thank you for the meal.

If you're from Osaka, everyone knows this tonkatsu chain. I felt like eating it after a long time and went to have some. I love the tonkatsu wrapped in asparagus for its enjoyable texture. The tonkatsu itself is delicious, but what's amazing is the curry you can have unlimited for an extra 100 yen. It's spicy and I always end up eating too much. It was delicious. Thank you for the meal.

When I went to Kyobashi for a mystery solving event, I had lunch here. There weren't many food and drink options on the floor, and Pom no Ki across the street had a 30-minute wait, so I decided to come here as it was relatively empty. I ordered the plum and shiso wrapped pork cutlet set meal with all-you-can-eat curry for a little over 1500 yen. It was cheap. When you order the set meal, you can have unlimited refills of rice, miso soup, and cabbage, and for an additional 150 yen or so, you can enjoy all-you-can-eat curry. It was delicious. The curry was a bit spicy. The cutlet came with tartar sauce, regular sauce, and salt. There were two types of salad dressings available at each table, but it seemed like you needed to ask the staff for more options. I thought it must be tough for the staff to collect the dressings every time they cleared the tables. Since you can have unlimited refills of rice, miso soup, and cabbage with the set meal, I think this is a good place to go when you're hungry.

It's been a long time since I visited this place! I wonder how many years it's been. With 9 friends, we took over 3 table seats (lol). After much deliberation, I ended up copying my friend and ordered: - Seasonal hand-rolled vegetables tonkatsu set for 1,580 yen (tax included) - Additional fillet cutlet for around 160 yen? - Plus 100 yen for all-you-can-eat curry - Plus 100 yen for the drink bar All in all, it cost around 1,900 yen, haha. Salad, rice, and miso soup are all-you-can-eat! I'm so full now!! Thank you for the meal!

During a break in between work, I searched for a lunch spot near the station. I was in the mood for tonkatsu, so I decided to go to this place on the 6th floor of Keihan Kyobashi. I ordered the "Domestic Pork Loin Tonkatsu Set for 1480 yen," although the exact price is from memory. They seemed to be promoting the curry all-you-can-eat option for an additional 100 yen, but I wasn't in the mood for it so I passed. The restaurant was not crowded, and it took about 15 minutes for my order to arrive. I think adding the curry would have made the set meal more satisfying. The tonkatsu was juicy and delicious, but I felt a bit of indigestion afterwards.

I felt like eating tonkatsu, so I came to this restaurant in Kyobashi, Osaka. The restaurant floor seems a bit quiet as two shops have closed due to the impact of the coronavirus. It seems like the staff is a bit short as they are not coming out to where the customers are. Finally, I was able to place my order and felt relieved. It looks like you can add all-you-can-eat curry for an additional 100 yen including tax. I used to like Tonkatsu Butashun when it comes to tonkatsu restaurants. Unfortunately, it seems to have closed due to the coronavirus. I also love natural jumbo shrimp and hirekatsu. Rice refills are self-service and free of charge. If you ask the staff, cabbage and miso soup refills are also free of charge.

I entered the restaurant around 5 o'clock in the evening. There were a few customers here and there. I ordered a set of pork cutlet and fried oysters. The sauce was really delicious, with a unique flavor between Worcestershire sauce and ketchup. However, I felt that the bento box might be tastier even if the food wasn't freshly fried. Thank you for the meal.

At Osaka Kyobashi Keihan Mall for lunch before work in the afternoon. I had the "Pork and Shrimp Fry Lunch" for ¥970. It included a small pork cutlet and one shrimp fry, along with burdock and carrot side dishes, pickles, and a miso soup with okra and seaweed, slightly sweet. The portion size was perfect for nursing a hangover. The lunch set also offers all-you-can-eat curry for free. I had plenty of cabbage refills to settle my stomach and get ready for the afternoon ahead!

On Sunday, I had lunch in Kyobashi. I ordered a mixed set of fillet and loin, and a set of loin, shrimp fry, and other items. It was my first time eating fried food from KYK at the restaurant. It tasted just like the products I buy at the department store's food section!

I made a reservation online, but despite that, I was made to wait for 10 minutes and they kept letting in people who arrived later without reservations. I wondered what the point of making a reservation was. Anyway, I went to KYK in Kyobashi for the first time! It felt a bit dim. I had the Eel and Herring Set Meal with Ume Oroshi Sauce for 1380 yen. It came with delicious mini noodles, 2 side dishes, salad, and miso soup. Plus, you can pay extra for all-you-can-eat curry (a bit spicy and watery). The portion size was decent. If I have the chance, I would go there again!

Today's workplace is in Osaka Kyobashi. Inside the Keihan Mall is "Tonkatsu KYK," which originated in Kobe San. They offer a limited quantity "service lunch" for ¥970, which includes pork loin, minced meat, and shrimp fry set. You can help yourself to white rice and miso soup for free, and cabbage is available for refill upon request. Surprisingly, curry is also all-you-can-eat. The batter is similar to tempura, making it easy on the stomach. I had two refills of cabbage before enjoying the curry thoroughly!

When thinking about having tonkatsu in Kansai, the chain restaurant that comes to mind is KYK. Among the various locations, my personal favorite is the Suihana KYK branch. The difference is that Suihana KYK focuses more on female customers, from the interior design to the menu composition. With that in mind, I visited Tonkatsu KYK Keihan Kyobashi branch this time. The interior of the restaurant is dimly lit. I ordered a mixed plate of loin and fillet tonkatsu, while my companion ordered a 140-gram loin tonkatsu. The tonkatsu served to me was clearly overcooked. The meat was thoroughly cooked to the center, making it dry and lacking in juiciness. Both the loin and fillet were the same in this aspect, which was disappointing. Of course, the texture was not to my liking. Rice is all-you-can-eat, but I felt hesitant to help myself to more. In this day and age, it would have been better if the staff could provide refills. You can add all-you-can-eat curry for an additional 100 yen, but the curry bowls are small. The curry itself only consists of minced meat and mushrooms. There was a slight spiciness, but it was more like a sauce for a palate cleanser. I wanted to make curry rice and tonkatsu curry, but the flavor was too weak, serving more as a sauce. The difference in quality between the initial rice and the refill rice was clear. The difference in rice was not only in appearance but also in taste. The obvious contrast made me question the store.

In Kansai, KYK is a famous restaurant. Despite being from Kansai, it was my first experience. The buffet corner inside the restaurant was impressive, especially with the curry available. - Ryukyu Pork Loin Tonkatsu Set (1,610 yen): It left a mediocre impression. There was no real need to specifically eat Okinawan pork. - Small Pork Miso Soup Set (210 yen): Again, a mediocre impression. It was unique with the addition of trefoil. The curry at the buffet corner was simple and lacked depth in flavor. It was a bit spicy and more like a sauce than a roux. The only advantage of having curry available is being able to make Katsu Curry.

It's been about 10 years since I last visited KYK, including takeout. I love fried foods and wanted to try a variety of dishes, so I ordered a set meal with shrimp cutlet, scallop, eggplant fry, and pork cutlet. I prefer pork tenderloin over loin! I also added a fried oyster because I assumed it wouldn't be frozen here. The rice and miso soup were now buffet style, with curry and cabbage available at the salad bar. I was happy to see tomato juice too. The portion of the original order was satisfying. As for the taste, the oyster fry was too oily, making it less enjoyable. It would have been better if it was homemade. The shrimp and shiitake were good with a sprinkle of salt. The scallop seemed more like fish cake, and the pork tenderloin was disappointing as it was thinly sliced instead of the usual block shape. Although I left full, I prefer the old KYK where the dishes were more to my liking. While the tonkatsu was filling, I can make it at home, so if there's nothing that stands out, I don't think I'll be returning.

Before leaving Osaka, I wanted to visit this restaurant. When it comes to tonkatsu in Osaka, KYK is definitely the place to go! It had been a while since I last ate here. My partner, who is from Gifu, had the impression that miso katsu is the typical tonkatsu, but faced with the representative tonkatsu of Osaka, I wonder what they thought. I ordered the set meal with both fillet and loin cutlets, while my partner ordered the lunch set with loin cutlet and shrimp fry. This restaurant offers unlimited rice, miso soup, salad bar, two types of curry, and strangely, tomato juice for refills, so it felt like a great deal. The rice was cooked perfectly, and the miso soup had just the right balance of flavors. The salad had broccoli, corn, cabbage, daikon, and two types of dressing. The curry came in spicy and slightly spicy versions, but I found them too hot to eat. Unfortunately. As for the tonkatsu, the loin cutlet was overwhelmingly delicious. The frying was light and crispy, with a rich aroma and taste of the meat and fat. The meat was tender and of high quality. It was honestly very delicious. The fillet cutlet was slightly dry in texture, but still satisfying and tasty. Next time, I want to try the large loin cutlet weighing around 200 grams. The tonkatsu sauce was also excellent. I was satisfied and will definitely come back again.

It got late and today's dinner is takeout. My wife bought it for us. When I opened the lid, there were tonkatsu, croquettes, and fried shrimp inside. It also came with burdock, konjac, broccoli, and potato salad. KYK's fried food is always reliable. The sauce is not too sweet or too spicy, so I pour it generously. The food is crispy and tender. The vegetables are also well-seasoned, making it easy to eat with rice. It's nice to have takeout once in a while. Thank you for the meal!

On the second day in Osaka, after the event ended, we decided to have dinner at a tonkatsu restaurant located on the 5th floor of the Keihan Mall. This chain with a unique name has multiple locations in Kansai, and we finally decided to try it out. The name "KYK" comes from the Kyoiku Yogo Kenkyujo (KYK) which was a sewing institute that provided the land to the restaurant when it was founded as a cafe in 1946. The restaurant is known for its tonkatsu, and we ordered the "Luxurious Seafood Set" and the "Satsuma Kinmochi Female Pork Loin Tonkatsu Set." The restaurant was busy with a variety of customers, and the food arrived promptly. The tonkatsu was made with high-quality pork, although it could have been a bit more tender. The breading was light and crispy, and the sauce was unique. Overall, the meal was satisfying, but as a resident of Kamata, I felt that eating tonkatsu in Osaka was unnecessary. My friend enjoyed the seafood fry dish they ordered.

I had a delicious tonkatsu meal with pork loin cutlet and fried oysters topping. The pork loin cutlet was average, but the fried oysters were really tasty. The meal also included salad, miso soup, rice, and curry, all of which were eat-all-you-can. I tried making katsu curry with the curry, and I ate until I was full. I would definitely go back when I'm hungry again.
