I went to Kazamiya Takasago in Fukuoka City, Chuo-ku on August 11, 2022 (Thursday). I found a cozy restaurant on a street one block west of Nisshoku-dori, wondering what to eat. The lunch menu was priced at 770 yen (tax included), which was very reasonable. Rice refills were available for 110 yen (tax included). I ordered the daily special set meal priced at 770 yen (tax included). The daily special that day was tonkatsu with egg topping. I asked for it as it is, without turning it into a katsudon. The set meal came with a vegetable salad, okra, and somen noodle soup. The tonkatsu with egg topping had the perfect half-cooked egg texture. The katsu was tender with a decent thickness and a delicious broth flavor. Lastly, I had a hot dessert to finish the meal. It was a delicious lunch at a reasonable price. Kazamiya Takasago is located at 1-4-13 Takasago, Chuo-ku, Fukuoka City. Closed on Sundays.

I wanted to have pasta or meat but everywhere was closed. I saw this lunch menu and decided to give it a try. They have basic infection prevention measures in place. - Fried mackerel set meal (700 yen) ... served in about 10 minutes. - The fried mackerel comes with 2 pieces and a slightly sweet sauce, which was quite delicious. It's nice that they also serve "potato salad" along with the vegetables. - The imitation crab croquette was lightly seasoned but had a tasty flavor. - The other dish tasted like meatballs from a certain store. - The rice portion was a bit small from the start, which was just right for me. They might have served a bit more for men. - The miso soup was good too. I like fried mackerel, so getting it for 700 yen was good. The taste was average, but it's really helpful that they are open during this time.

It was cheap and good. The sweet and spicy fried chicken was crispy and delicious.
