みゅ〜みゅ〜
I am in Osaka. In Osaka, there is a shop in Kita, Nishi Umeda. It was right in the middle of Douchika. I visited the shop around 3 pm after missing lunch. Other shops had already finished serving lunch at that time, so it was helpful to have a shop like this open all day. My stomach was empty, but I didn't have time to choose a shop. There is a possibility that there are no shops open to choose from. So, I rushed into this shop. When I entered the shop, it was surprisingly spacious and full of seats. However, there were few staff members, about one in the kitchen and one in the hall. Despite it being an odd time, there were quite a few customers, and the hall part-time employee seemed a bit flustered, speaking politely but with a strong tone, which was a bit intimidating. In my mind, I cheered him on! I always order beef bowl, but this time I decided to be adventurous and ordered the Teppan Beef Kalbi Set. There was also a Teppan Beef Yakiniku Set, but I didn't feel comfortable asking questions, so I chose the Kalbi. After waiting for 5-6 minutes, the Teppan Beef Kalbi Set was brought to me. It was thin, white, and papery meat that looked more like pork. I doubted if it was beef. When I tried it with the sweet and savory sauce, I thought, well, maybe it's beef? However, the meat was too thin and lacked substance as yakiniku, which was quite disappointing. I didn't need miso soup or salad, so I wished they had made the meat thicker. I noticed later that I could have ordered extra rice or a larger portion, but it was too late after finishing my meal. I didn't need an extra portion, but a larger portion might have been just right. I thought maybe eating beef bowl at a beef bowl shop is the best after all.
