When I visited Juusan-ya in April 2012, it was crowded and I couldn't get in, so I came here instead. This is actually my second visit. I had the menu item with an interesting name that was written with "ち〇こ" on it. It tasted like a typical hormone dish. I think this place is much better than the Collagen Collagen♪ chain stores that are heavily advertised on TV.

Today, my cousin's husband and I visited the Showa-era popular hormone restaurant. We enjoyed a two-hour all-you-can-eat and drink experience with 60 items. The restaurant had a nostalgic Showa retro atmosphere, with oldies music playing in the background. There were movie posters and advertising signs of Showa stars who are no longer with us displayed inside the restaurant.

Thirteen days of drinking ended with yakiniku. Right in front of the station. Showa retro style. Clean and tidy interior. The staff are friendly and there is a wide variety of hormone dishes. Ordered the popular menu and white rice to start. There were two types of sauce and the rice went well with it, ended up getting seconds. It's a chain restaurant so it's easy to casually drop by.

I went to a convenient store in front of the station on an empty stomach, almost hangry. This store is great. First of all, the service is good. The staff is friendly and welcoming, making the dining experience enjoyable. Additionally, the food is cheap and delicious. They even have a counter for solo diners. The atmosphere emphasizes the Showa era with movie posters, but it may feel a bit forced. I ordered the Showa popular tongue salt and Showa popular harami as starters, which are pork and affordable. The flavor may not match up to beef, but they are well-seasoned and tasty. I couldn't resist ordering rice as well. Today's diet plan went out the window. I also ordered the special hormone trio platter, which was unique with salted kelp. It was delicious. I also got the tripe, which had a nice chewy texture and was served with yuzu pepper. I couldn't stop eating the rice. I also ordered the Cholera salad and seaweed soup. The salad was a bit too sweet for my liking. The seaweed soup was flavorful and filling. Until 7 pm, they offer draft beer for 190 yen, which is worth mentioning. I strongly recommend introducing large beer mugs! The restaurant allows smoking, but the smokeless roaster is effective, so it's not bothersome. The total bill for two people was around 5000 yen. I'm satisfied!

After passing through the ticket gate at Exit 13, you'll find a popular meat and sake bar just 20 steps away. The sign advertising "Draft Beer for 190 yen! Hormone starting from 290 yen" catches your eye. As you enter, you step into a nostalgic world reminiscent of the Showa era, with old-fashioned signs and posters adorning the interior. We opted for a semi-private raised tatami seating area on the second floor. When you order meat, a shichirin grill is brought to your table and set under the duct. Yes, you can enjoy yakiniku grilled over charcoal here! To start, I toasted with a popular sour cocktail priced at 319 yen. Here's what we had that day: - Popular Lemon Sour (290 yen, excluding tax): With lemon pulp and shaved peel adding a subtle citrusy flavor, this sour cocktail is refreshing and easy to drink. - Special Selection Meat Platter (Inside, Special Sirloin, Special Kalbi) for 1,980 yen: The "Inside" meat, similar to harami and belly meat, was beautifully marbled and tender. The Special Sirloin melted in your mouth, while the Special Kalbi had rich marbling reminiscent of A5 grade beef, resulting in a deliciously tender and flavorful taste. - Meat Sushi from the daily recommendations (price forgotten): All three varieties were delicious, especially the rare, tender slices that I particularly enjoyed. - Lucky Kimchi (550 yen): We rolled the dice and got an even number, which meant a plate of delicious hormone for us. The kimchi had a mild acidity and savory umami flavor that we enjoyed. - Popular Tongue Salt (590 yen): This pork tongue dish, grilled and topped with green onion salt, was surprisingly tasty. It changed my perception of pork tongue being delicious when prepared this way. - Garlic Butter Red Tripe (Cheese Melt) (590 yen): Grilled red tripe dipped in a mixture of butter and garlic, this dish increased our appetite. The texture of the red tripe was unique and reminiscent of mino. The ambiance was cozy and welcoming, quite different from what you'd expect from the exterior. Osaka, Juso, Showa Taishu Horumon Juso-ten is a research on yakiniku. It has a nostalgic Showa atmosphere near Juso Station. We enjoyed the yakiniku cooked over charcoal. The Tabelog coupon was amazing. Thank you very much! It was a delicious meal!

Date and time of visit: June 20, 2020, 17:05 I was invited out for dinner and ended up at "Showa-style Offal" in Juso. Located just to the left after exiting the west exit of Hankyu Juso Station, the restaurant offers dishes like "Fresh Offal Assortment of 5 kinds," "Upper Harami," and "Round Intestine." Upon entering, hand sanitizing and temperature checks were conducted in accordance with the current situation. - Food & Taste: 3.3 The "Fresh Offal Assortment of 5 kinds" actually had 6 different types. Unlike the large plates of offal assortments at nearby yakiniku restaurants, here they were served in a divided tray. The textures were chewy, as expected from offal. The "Upper Harami" was very tender and well-sized, delicious when paired with white rice. We also ordered the regular version of Harami later, and it was visibly different in size and marbling. The "Round Intestine" mostly had a melt-in-your-mouth texture that went well with white rice, my favorite offal cut. My companion also seemed to enjoy it and we ordered more later. - Service: 3.4 The staff were all young and provided lively and friendly service. Despite the retro impression given by the restaurant's name and exterior, the service was surprisingly different in a good way. They seemed quite busy as the number of dinner guests increased. Although the additional dishes were a bit slow to arrive, everything else was satisfactory. They also kindly added one extra type of offal to the "Fresh Offal Assortment." The staff explained the names of all the ingredients to us. - Atmosphere: 3.3 The exterior had an old-fashioned vibe typical of the area. Inside, the restaurant had a wooden izakaya-style decor. A charcoal grill was prepared after ordering. The background music consisted of nostalgic Japanese songs. There were more than 5 customers when we arrived and about 15 after us. They mentioned that there were many reservations for the evening. - Cost Performance: 3.1 The "Fresh Offal Assortment of 5 kinds" was 1490 yen + tax, "Upper Harami" was 980 yen + tax, and "Round Intestine" was 690 yen + tax for the first round, with a similar amount ordered for the second round. Four bad colleagues went to have yakiniku in Juso during the daytime. The setting is a small staircase right next to Juso Station West Exit. The nostalgic atmosphere is quite pleasant for us old folks. The large hand-drawn movie poster displayed in the restaurant is for "Romance Musume," a movie starring Misora Hibari from Toei. The expression "all natural colors" really gives a sense of the era. We ordered several glasses of draft beer and more, salted tongue, and manly small intestines, among other things. We ate and drank a lot! Unfortunately, there are hardly any photos because we were too focused on grilling (oops). The meat was a bit thin, but I personally prefer it that way rather than too thick. It had just the right amount of fat and a chewy texture, disappearing quickly. Manly small intestines...? Well, they sure were manly! Seriously! It must be the handsome bull's intestines (just kidding). The spicy sauce and meaty texture made it addictively delicious. We had a great time grilling together around the charcoal grill, laughing and having fun. There are always over 40 types of hormones, side dishes, and drinks available, so we didn't get bored. I wanted to eat yakiniku in Juso for the first time in a while, and visited this restaurant that came to mind. It's located right in front of Juso station, just a 0-minute walk away. The restaurant has a retro Showa era atmosphere that is very comforting. I sat at the counter. After a while, the charcoal was prepared. I ordered the must-have raw beef intestine and three different types of hormone cuts. The raw beef intestine was sprinkled with sesame seeds, and when eaten with salt and sesame oil, it was absolutely delicious. I chose the softest cuts for the lean meat, and for the hormone cuts, I heard that they taste better when grilled, and it was true, they were delicious. I also enjoyed the different flavors of each cut. I don't have many opportunities to eat yakiniku, but if I ever feel like eating yakiniku in Juso again, I would definitely want to visit this restaurant.

This is a shop on the second floor after climbing a narrow staircase. The cost performance is good! Both drinks and food are cheap! The taste is not bad, and most importantly, the drinks are cheap!
