I wanted to eat the Gyudon from Sukiya, which I haven't had in a while, so I had the Gyumaze Nokke breakfast at the Sukiya Chayamachi store in Umeda. The store was full of customers, and I could feel the liveliness returning to the streets of Umeda. Sukiya Chayamachi Store, 1-52 Chayamachi, Kita-ku, Osaka City, Osaka, Komodo Umeda Building 1F.

I tried the new menu item at Sukiya, the Mentaiko Mayo Cheese Gyudon. It's a flavorful beef bowl covered with creamy cheese and spicy cod roe mayo, giving it a spring-like appearance. Intrigued by the spicy Mentaiko Mayo spreading in a grid pattern, I impulsively entered the store. The poster and commercial really do play a crucial role in attracting customers. I ordered the regular size for 580 yen. When viewed from the side, the cheese still held its shape, making me wonder if I could eat it as it is. However, as the cheese gradually melted from the heat of the beef bowl, it mixed with the Mentaiko Mayo, creating a smooth and rich flavor. And when the beef bowl emerged from below, the taste transformed, allowing me to enjoy the combination of cheese and beef bowl. This two-tiered new menu is a limited-time item. There was still one more thing! I was curious about the charcoal chicken curry released for Christmas, and finally, after waiting a little longer than usual, it arrived with a bang! I wondered how to eat the chicken with a spoon, but it was enough with a spoon. It was tender and delicious. I hope they make this a regular menu item.

It's that time of the season again! I had my first beef sukiyaki of the season! I haven't tried Yoshinoya yet this year, though (lol). The difference is that Sukiya serves two eggs, so you can enjoy TKG (raw egg over rice), but extra rice is charged. The sauce is slightly sweet and salty, with a strong egg-based flavor. The udon noodles have a good texture, but I wish there was a bit more. This time I had TKG, so I didn't leave any rice, but next time I might try pouring the sauce over the rice. Either way, I always go for the extra rice (lol). It was delicious! Thank you for the meal! I went to a cafe that caught my eye at the EST Food Hall, and decided to have a quick meal there. It had been about 2 years since my last visit. The cafe had a high-tech menu where you could order using a tablet. I ordered the "Beef Bowl Large with Miso Soup and Pickles Set (tax included 770 yen)." The beef bowl arrived in about 3-4 minutes after ordering. The beef was thinly sliced and the balance between lean meat and fat was well thought out. However, when ordering the large size, the beef portion felt a bit lacking. The pickles helped to make up for it though. The onions were shining brightly as they soaked up the sauce. The overall taste was on the strong side, but the secret sauce has evolved to have less of a ginger flavor, making it closer to Yoshinoya's taste and easier to eat. The miso soup contained daikon radish, burdock root, shiitake mushrooms, carrots, and konjac, and was quite tasty. It would be nice if the pickles were of higher quality. The variety of menu items, including desserts, at this beef bowl chain restaurant is impressive.

I had the beef curry from Sukiya. I had it for breakfast after an all-nighter. It's breakfast curry, right? I think it's been about 7 years since I last went to Sukiya, and this might be my first time trying their curry. The beef was delicious, and the curry had a rich flavor. Even if I splurge and end up living on a tight budget, knowing that Sukiya is there makes me feel reassured.

Even though major gourmet streets like Hankyu Sanbangai and Whity Umeda are closed, the beef bowl chain is still going strong. I tried a surprising limited-time menu - beef bowl with rich sauce yakisoba and omurice added. It's topped with cheese, making it creamy, but it looks like junk food. A unique and delicious meal gathering favorite dishes for kids. Even the regular size is filling enough - the regular size costs 690 yen and has 1,108 kcal. The cheese plays a key role in this menu. It's like a mediator between the main dishes. It's impressive to see such a dish that you wouldn't make at home. It's strange to think who came up with this, but in times like these, it somehow gives you a boost of energy. Looking forward to the next limited-time item, I leave the restaurant. When I want to have breakfast outside, especially if I want to eat rice, I often go to Sukiya. The reason is that they have just the right breakfast options. I usually go for the Mini Rice with Miso Soup and change the side dish to Nori Tamago. This is enough for me. The rice at Sukiya is slightly firm, which I like, as some chain restaurants don't serve tasty rice. Although it may be a bit pricey, the miso soup is worth it. After having it, I start craving miso soup even at home. I'm sure I'll visit again after a while.

Sweet eel sauce and sweet and savory beef bowl sauce are mixed in the limited-time menu item "Una-gyu". The familiar taste of eel and the new taste of beef are blended in a way that is surprisingly refreshing. The traditional Japanese eel is grilled three times with sauce to achieve a plump finish. The key to eel is the texture and sauce, and the right amount of sauce ensures that the beef bowl flavor is not lost. The onions also add a nice flavor to the dish. This menu item is like getting two delicious meals in one. The mix of different ingredients is important for the aroma as well. The unexpected combination is a sign of true professionalism. Beef sukiyaki set meal... I thoroughly enjoyed the deep flavors. When it comes to Yoshinoya, the classic dishes are beef bowls and curry as seen on their sign... but when you think about the origin of the name, most people probably think of sukiyaki. And they would be right. Yoshinoya, founded in Yokohama, seems to have been named after the sukiyaki that was first enjoyed in Yokohama during the Meiji era. The "suki" in Yoshinoya actually refers to sukiyaki. Leaving that aside, why is sukiyaki sauce so delicious? The combination of beef and vegetables dipped in egg is just amazing! However, eggs tend to run out faster than you think. But this set meal comes with 2 eggs, which is the key point. With a generous amount of beef, Chinese cabbage, leeks, carrots, onions, and udon in the pot, the ample supply of eggs is enough. When you put it on rice, it becomes a superb hot beef sukiyaki. How about trying it this winter... Hurry, it's only available for a limited time! Yoshinoya Chayamachi Store.

I happened to pass by a Sukiya restaurant in the back streets of Umeda Chayamachi with a friend. The set menu was cheap, but I wasn't very hungry so I ordered a single beef bowl, while my friend ordered a beef bowl with cheese and Tabasco. It was my first time at Sukiya, and I was pleasantly surprised by the generous portion size! I felt like the rice portion was a bit too much, but I was satisfied with how full my stomach was. I had always thought Sukiya only had counter seats, but there were also many table seats, and I was impressed by the ordering system. The staff's greetings were friendly, and I was able to pay cashlessly, making it a pleasant dining experience.

Just arrived in Osaka! Starting my business trip today, but for lunch I had a beef bowl from Sukiya due to some circumstances! Here it is. The garlic sprout beef bowl is back this year! It makes me feel like summer. It seems like the spiciness has increased compared to last year. Definitely just my imagination! It was delicious as always!

The topping on the tacos makes you feel like you're eating something spicy. It has a firm spiciness, fitting for its name. The portion size is good even for a regular serving in a large bowl. It's not as heavy as a beef bowl, and you can enjoy it lightly. The lettuce acts as a good cushion, preventing it from being too spicy. The playful name is also nice. It's like a beef bowl with a spicy twist in taco style. The lettuce's crunchy texture is wonderful, making it almost easy to forget it's a beef bowl. The visually appealing beef bowl, the Spicy Tomareta Beef Bowl, seems like a menu item that could become regular despite being limited time. And it's only one coin. Sukiya Chayamachi Store.

I visited the restaurant for the first time around 11 o'clock during a business trip. I had the Caesar lettuce beef bowl (regular size) for 500 yen including tax and 806kcal. The Caesar lettuce beef bowl is a combination of red cheddar cheese, gorgonzola cheese, and black pepper in a creamy Caesar sauce. It also includes bacon and fragrant parmesan cheese for a rich flavor. Personally, I didn't think the beef bowl and Caesar sauce went well together, but it might appeal to younger people. I also had the miso soup and pickles set for 200 yen including tax and 166kcal. It was exactly as described, miso soup and pickles set. Overall, it was a satisfying meal.

For breakfast, I had the pork miso soup set with a mini-sized bowl of rice. When I want to eat rice, this is what I choose. I like to add a little shichimi spice to the miso soup. I also put soy sauce in the raw egg. This alone is enough, but there is also potato salad and seaweed. Looking back, I think I really like the rice here. I'm not a fan of rice with a lot of moisture, and Yoshinoya's rice is on the drier side. Adding a raw egg and turning it into a Tamago Kake Gohan (raw egg over rice) is perfect. The miso soup with pork is different from the usual miso soup with pork toppings, but it's still good. Overall, I enjoyed my breakfast once again.

Curry rice is a standard dish, so it can be difficult to find a good one when eating out. Everyone already has their own preferred taste of curry, so trying to replicate that in a restaurant can be challenging. I tried the curry at Sukiya for the first time and it tasted like a typical homemade curry. The curry was decent, not particularly outstanding but still satisfying. The potatoes were cooked well without falling apart, and the carrots were soft. The soft-boiled egg was a nice touch. Sukiya Chayamachi branch.
