Shamble Asami has been renovated and now has a better atmosphere than before. There is a café at the reception where you can drink coffee in Marimekko cups. They are planning to expand the café area to the outside deck, so it will continue to improve.

Returning to Osaka alone. Staying in a hotel alone in Osaka might be a first for me!! My husband found a hotel in Moriguchi for me, which is convenient for cooking classes. Although it was a room-only plan, I found the hotel interesting so I will describe the room. The hotel was quite reasonable, and the exterior was surprisingly nice. The entrance on the first floor was modern and lovely. The lobby was also nice! There was a group of people checking in when I arrived, so I had to wait a bit, but the staff was very friendly. Check-in is from 3 pm and check-out is at 11 am, which is quite convenient. The elevator led to an outdoor corridor, which is rare for hotels. You have to take off your shoes at the entrance of the room. The door chain was an old-fashioned push-down type, which reminded me of my college days. The closet was a bit low, but I managed to hang my coat on the coat hanger inside the room. The room also had a small kitchen, which could be useful for guests staying multiple nights. The bed was comfortable, and the room was spacious. The cleaning was well done, and I had a pleasant stay. The slippers were a bit too big for me, so it was a bit difficult to walk in them (laughs). If you choose a plan with breakfast included, you can have breakfast at the cafe on the first floor from 6:45 to 9:30. The breakfast sets include toast, boiled eggs, mini salad (Set A), hot sandwich (ham and cucumber), mini salad (Set B), and hot dog, mini salad (Set C), all with free drinks. Even guests on a room-only plan can have breakfast for an additional fee. Breakfast is only available to guests staying at the hotel. After check-out, the cafe is open to the public from 10 am. I had a cappuccino at the cafe after check-out and got a 100 yen discount.
