Beyond the table seats, I can see the dimming cityscape, creating a nice atmosphere. It was a hot day, so I ordered a refreshing white peach Bellini. The sweet and sour flavor of the white peach is fruity and easy to drink, so even those who are not good with alcohol can enjoy it. The charm is the fruits, pear and pion. There's still some time left... The fresh mint mojito was sold out, so I casually had some champagne. The quiet and leisurely atmosphere of the shop is convenient for adjusting the time. I imagine the night view must be beautiful to see late at night.

One of the most calm and lovely wine bars in the sky is MYMON Ichimon. Inside, there is a quiet and cozy bar away from the hustle and bustle. There is a counter and table seats at the back. When I ordered a Burgundy Chardonnay, they served me a delicious wine from Rully. It had a nice aroma, with a hint of oak, and was very tasty. You can also enjoy other delicious wines that suit your taste.

The nights in Hakata are long... Maybe I'll try drinking alone somewhere. When I searched nearby, I found a bar inside the station building. It feels kind of unusual. The bar is small with a narrow entrance, but the atmosphere is nice. They seem to have a rule of always serving fruit, which costs 1000 yen. When I'm full, I like to have Macallan 12 on the rocks. It has a mild taste that I enjoy. For my second drink, I tried Ardbeg, a unique name I'm not familiar with. It has a distinctive taste, almost like medical alcohol, but I still drank it (laughs). When I asked the staff, they mentioned it's unique but you can specify the brand you like. This was the first time I tried such a unique whiskey. It was a good experience. Thank you for the meal!

The bar is open from 5 pm to midnight, making it convenient for both before and after movies or while waiting for a Shinkansen. Arriving late? Stop by here for a drink before heading home. I was on a business trip in Fukuoka. After a drinking party, before heading back to the hotel, I decided to watch the late show of Bohemian Rhapsody. To pass the time before the screening, I went to this restaurant. The atmosphere was really nice, and I sat at the counter. It was the night before a holiday, so the place was about 70% full. I ordered a gin and tonic, and it came with some fruits as a complimentary appetizer. The gin and tonic was delicious with strong carbonation. I wish I could have stayed a bit longer. There was a table charge of over 2,000 yen.

I wanted to leave quickly, but it was a birthday celebration so I didn't want to ruin the mood, so we stayed and had two drinks each before leaving. I have been to many bars, but this was the first one I never want to go back to.

MYMON started about 20 years ago when I was introduced to it by a bartender I used to rely on, and I visited the newly opened Hakata store near the canal. Since then, I have occasionally visited the various branches, and each one exudes a special atmosphere that they all share. Even the recently opened Ichimon-an, like an outpost, maintains the same atmosphere as the existing branches despite its compact size. The menu is subtly displayed outside, making it easy for hesitant customers to feel reassured. The atmosphere inside the store is always pleasant, whether it's crowded or not, creating an environment where you can forget about the hustle and bustle outside. The menu not only lists base liquors but also includes a variety of cocktails. Even if it's not on the menu, you can request it, whether you decide based on the menu or have a conversation with the bartender. However, since you can't imagine the store's stock from the back bar, it's not the kind of place where you drink while gazing at bottles. They seem to prioritize a stylish atmosphere, typical of the MYMON group. The quality of the cocktails is also excellent. I appreciate their sense of balance in sweetness, glass selection, and overall taste. They have slightly higher prices, but it's worth it for the value they provide. Generally speaking, it's about 50% more than a bar on the corner and 20% more than a hotel bar. Despite these positive aspects, there are two points that concern me. The first is the lack of a shaker. While they can mix cocktails without one, it's a bit disappointing when you see drinks like a Jack Rose on the menu but they don't have a shaker. However, this doesn't often affect the taste. The second point is the narrow spacing between seats at the counter. The compact layout means they want to maximize seating, but the spacing between counter seats, arranged in pairs, is clearly too tight. If they could widen the spacing by taking 2 seats or at least 1 seat, each seat would have at least 5cm more width, reducing the intensity of sharing the space with the person next to you. Therefore, I try to avoid going when it's crowded.

I love the sukiyaki at Shirogane, and I used to frequent the bar next to Ichimon, but I heard that a new bar and sukiyaki restaurant opened at Hakata Station, in JR Hakata City. I decided to check it out. It's located on the 9th floor of Kuuten, next to Yamachuu. Despite being inside Hakata Station, the atmosphere is like a hidden gem, with a warm and cozy feel. The space used to be a locker room, but now it's decorated with antique Meissen and Roux paintings, creating an elegant and adult ambiance that doesn't feel intimidating. I made a reservation for the sukiyaki the day before, and it was just as delicious as the one in Shirogane. The staff provided excellent service, making me feel special until the end. Next to me at the counter was a charming gentleman quietly enjoying bourbon. This place is not only for sukiyaki but also for leisurely enjoying drinks alone. It's a peaceful oasis next to the bustling Kuuten. I'm thinking of coming back next time to relax with a glass of wine while waiting for a train or after returning from a business trip.

It's a welcome presence near Hakata Station, where customers might not come if they can't smoke in a bar. The atmosphere inside is very nice, and the bartender's service is polite and attentive. The food options are limited as well. They mentioned that if you make a reservation in advance, they can serve Mizutaki (chicken hot pot), but it didn't seem to fit the vibe of the place. It's like wanting to eat ramen at a trendy cafe, it just doesn't quite match.
