Since I didn't have enough time for lunch after returning to the office, I decided to have lunch a little earlier at a nearby restaurant. I opted for the classic katsudon and soba set meal. The meal was delicious as always.

Visited around 1:30 pm on Saturday. The restaurant was fairly busy but I didn't have to wait to be seated. It seems like they specialize in curry udon. Watching others order rice bowl dishes on the way to my seat made me crave it... I ordered the katsudon and udon set. As expected, the broth in the west is so flavorful. The udon broth was delicious, of course. The katsudon and other rice bowl dishes I saw ordered were much tastier than the ones I've had in the east.

The day after drinking, feeling slightly hungover... On days like this, I need to eat a lot to recover. I arrived at the restaurant around 11:30am, but the parking lot was almost full and about 80% of the seats were taken. I ordered the default menu, which is the Katsudon set. Eating Katsudon and Zaru Soba together in Kansai is the best.

I had a stable katsudon. I also had grated soba noodles and octopus tempura. I love all three dishes. This restaurant is famous for its curry flavor, but I always prefer these three dishes. I sometimes have curry during the day. The curry here is excellent.

Found "Taikotei Hattori Ryokuchi Branch," a local udon specialty shop operated by Taikotei, a chain of food and beverage establishments in the northern part of Osaka. The restaurant seemed to be promoting curry udon based on the posters. When we entered during lunchtime, it was quite crowded, with a customer base mainly in their 40s, 50s, and 60s. Our order included: - Meat Curry Udon (thick udon selected) - Tempura of shrimp and vegetables (to share) - Beef hot pot udon (for my spouse) The pricing was a bit strange, as the curry udon set (with rice dish) and the individual meat curry udon were the same price! When the meat curry udon arrived, it came with inari sushi as well! The curry sauce was thick and hot, with beef, green onions, onions, and deep-fried tofu as toppings, creating a delicious blend of flavors with the udon noodles. We also shared the tempura, which included shrimp, shiso leaf, eggplant, pickled ginger, sweet potato, and pumpkin, served with tempura dipping sauce and grated daikon radish. The tempura went well with the udon too. My spouse had the beef hot pot udon, which was simmered to perfection, with tender udon noodles and flavorful beef. Overall, the restaurant had a decent taste and convenient parking, so we will definitely visit again. Thank you!

The operation was a bit slow, with delays in seating, getting water, and taking orders in a random order, which was disappointing. Some of the menu items that were decided in advance were unexpectedly unavailable, which was a shock. It was a hot day, so I had the cold soba noodles. The tempura was crispy and delicious! Even if you have tempura as the main dish, it might be good. The soba noodles were nothing special, but they were simply delicious.

I went to Taikotei Hattori Ryokuchi store with my children to have a meal outside. The restaurant is close to home and has a parking lot. The menu offers a variety of options including udon, soba, and rice bowls. I ordered a set of katsudon and soba, which was delicious and reasonably priced at just over 1000 yen. You can choose between udon and soba noodles based on your preference, and the menu is extensive. The taste is liked by everyone, from children to the elderly, making it a convenient restaurant for all.

Across the street from this shop is the famous Hattori Ryokuchi Park. Next to the park is Ryokuchi Reien, and many people who visit the graves there come here to eat afterwards. We visited on the last day of the Obon holiday, and it was very crowded. When our children were still young, we used to drive to Osaka to eat, but recently we have been using this shop in front of us more often. When we entered the shop, we saw that the weekday lunch menu was not available during the Obon period. After a short wait, we were seated. Looking around, there were many families dining. I ordered the Anago Tempura Oroshi Soba with the option to change the soba to udon. My husband ordered the Beef Curry Udon set. Although the curry udon was tempting, I decided against it because I didn't want to sweat in the heat. However, many people were enjoying the curry udon, which seems to be a popular menu item here. The tempura, especially the Beni Shoga Tempura, was delicious with a crispy batter. The Beni Shoga Tempura was a new experience for me, and it was incredibly tasty. The variety of tempura dishes caused slight indigestion for me. I look forward to trying the famous curry udon here when the weather cools down. Thank you for the meal!

I went to Taikotei Hattori Ryokuchi store for a business trip lunch in Osaka. It was my first time visiting Taikotei. I forgot to take a menu and photos. This time, I ordered a satisfying and reasonably priced set meal with great taste and portion. I chose the Katsudon set with Zaru Soba. First, I took a bite of the Katsudon. It had a tender taste and the rice was delicious, overall it was really good. The Zaru Soba was cold and had a nice texture. Both the Katsudon and Zaru Soba had a good amount of volume, and the set was priced at 858 yen including tax, which was a great deal. Thank you for the meal.

As we sat down, the comforting aroma of dashi filled the air in the restaurant. - Curry Udon: I ordered the large serving of noodles and the fragrance of dashi and curry was delightful. The noodles were thick and chewy, and the dish had plenty of meat for a satisfying meal. - Miso Koko Udon: I opted for the large serving of noodles in this dish with a gentle miso flavor that warmed me up. The thick noodles paired well with the diced fried tofu and bean sprouts, creating a delicious combination. - Oroshi Soba: This dish features cold noodles topped with freshly fried red ginger tempura, seaweed, enoki mushrooms, shredded egg, green onions, and grated daikon. The sweet dashi and cold soba make it a perfect choice for the summer. The crispy red ginger tempura was a favorite of mine. The restaurant has a spacious layout with well-spaced tables for a comfortable dining experience. They also have a parking lot available.

I have been using Taikotei for about 30 years since they had a store in Ishibashi (which is no longer there) for a quick and easy lunch. I highly recommend their lunch bowl set. Today, I had the katsudon set (700 yen before tax) which comes with soba (hot/cold) or udon (hot/cold) and pickles. The taste of the bowl is average, but the soba broth is delicious and has a flavor that doesn't get boring. For dinner, if you choose soba for the bowl set, it will come with sliced tempura instead of kakiage or kitsune udon, and the price will be around 900 to 950 yen.

Recently, there has been an increase in unique self-service udon and soba shops, making them valuable finds. My wife and I visited during lunchtime. We ordered the katsu-don and udon set meal. The taste was traditional and comforting. The cost performance was also excellent. I hope they continue to remain self-service.

With its affordable prices and delicious food, as well as ample parking, it was easy to use, attracting a wide range of customers from families to elderly people. As I left the restaurant after my meal, I noticed that the line to get in had significantly grown, showing just how popular the place is.

Today, after attending my eldest daughter's high school cultural festival, we decided to have lunch on the way back and ended up at Taikotei Hattori Ryokuchi store, which has a parking lot. About 10 years ago, this restaurant was located between the nursery school my daughter used to attend and our home, and we used to visit it often. Now that my daughter has graduated from high school, time has flown by. The menu at this restaurant is quite extensive, and I was tempted by the seasonal limited-time items, but I ended up ordering my usual "Katsudon and Udon (or Soba) set." It was a generous portion and delicious, priced at just over 800 yen. A great deal. Although it had been a while since I last had it, the katsudon tasted just as good as always. However, the udon was unexpectedly delicious. It seemed to have a better aroma and flavor than I remembered from this restaurant. My wife, who also visited this place after a long time, said, "Was it always this delicious?" So, it seems I wasn't just imagining things. It's about a 10-minute drive from our home. We thought it would be a good place for dinner when we're tired. It's a family restaurant specializing in noodles, but it's cheaper than a family restaurant and the quality is much better. We are grateful for this restaurant.

Udon restaurant located in Yuhigaoka, Toyonaka City. There is a parking lot and the interior is quite spacious. It was quite busy during lunchtime on weekdays. The service was good. This time, I ordered the katsu-don set for 858 yen. It came with warm udon and pickled radish. The taste was nothing special, but it was a satisfying meal from their popular menu.

We decided to eat out as a family. When feeling a bit tired, I crave for simple and comforting flavors. So, we went to Taikotei after a long time. My go-to dish at this restaurant is the pork cutlet bowl set. The delicious broth always makes me feel at ease. This time, I opted for udon instead of soba, and the soft Osaka-style udon was also very good. The pork cutlet bowl was consistently delicious, and the side pickles were tasty as well. The portion size was satisfying, providing just the right amount of fulfillment. It's a place where you can casually and unpretentiously enjoy a meal. Each family member ordered their favorite dish and left fully satisfied.
