After enjoying a sauna session, I was unsure of what to eat for my post-sauna meal, but I suddenly had a craving for mud ramen, so I decided to visit this restaurant. I ordered the fried chicken set, but the portion was so big that I ended up overeating. However, the mud ramen, which I hadn't had in a while, was reliably delicious and satisfying for my post-sauna meal.

I received the karaage set B. The karaage sets at the Mikasa store are A, B, C. The karaage sets at the Bibai store I often visit are D, E, instead of A to C. I recently noticed that both B and D have the same ramen size, number of karaage, side dishes, and small dishes, but D allows for free rice refills while B does not because the amount of rice in the set varies. I ordered "Ore no Shio" ramen. If my memory serves me right, the first time I ordered here was "Ore no Shio," so you could say it was a return to the basics. It was delicious. Thank you very much.

Today, I had to drive my friend back to Asahikawa from Sapporo due to heavy snow. We left Sapporo at 7:30 am, but it took us 2 hours to get on the highway, and we were forced to get off at Ebetsu East due to a blizzard. We then had to drive through heavy traffic and whiteout conditions on Route 12. We stopped for lunch in Iwamizawa, but the ramen shop we wanted to go to was unexpectedly closed. So, we decided to go to Daruma-ya, a restaurant in a roadside station in Mikasa, to avoid getting stuck without food. The restaurant was spacious and had a wide variety of menu options. I tried the shrimp salt ramen, but they were out of green onions for toppings. The ramen arrived quickly and had a light salt flavor with rich shrimp broth, but it was lacking in toppings and ingredients. Overall, it was a decent meal considering the circumstances.

I went to a restaurant in Bibai before. Hmm~ it was a critical hit after a long time!! I want to eat it again... and then I found out that it is a chain store with several branches in Hokkaido. I found it here at Michi-no-Eki Mikasa. I had some business in this area, so I took a break at the Michi-no-Eki in Mikasa. There are various Michi-no-Eki, but the way they are built really varies depending on the location. So, I always want to visit places I haven't been to before. Honestly, the fun of Michi-no-Eki can vary greatly depending on the location. Oh~ it's here too!! I found it on the other side looking for the entrance. It turns out it was a big chain in the Michi-no-Eki. But... where do I enter from?? I couldn't find the entrance on the outside... There was actually an entrance inside the Michi-no-Eki building. Usually, when you hear Michi-no-Eki, they are often built outside and operate there, but this place was actually a store inside the Michi-no-Eki. The curtain was also hanging firmly inside the Michi-no-Eki. The menu was slightly different from the one I had at the Bibai store... and the prices and sets were a bit different too. I wonder if the prices are Michi-no-Eki prices after all... I'm curious about the cutlet curry... The taste of curry always piques my interest. Well, there are so many things to be curious about in this store... should I take a chance... or go for the safe option... I can't really take risks haha. Types of ramen. Here at Darumaya, they have seven different types of ramen... or so I thought. No, that's not the case. They also have normal miso and shoyu ramen. There was tonkotsu and shio too. How many types are there exactly?? But, I still want to eat the Doro ramen. It's a meeting. Actually, it seems like this place also serves as a prison haha. No, that's not true haha. Is this person a criminal or a witness? Hmm~ judging by the looks, this person seems to have a long sentence ahead haha. In any case, it's well made for people who don't want to be shown haha. Chicken cutlet set B 1100 yen. Hmm~ when I come to Darumaya, I want to eat this. Since I can't come often, I feel like ordering what I thought was delicious. I'm curious about the curry too, but what surpasses that is this. Regular size ramen with a choice of your favorite flavor. 3 pieces of chicken cutlet + salad rice (250g). It looks like a manageable amount, but looks can be deceiving. By the way, A is a mini ramen with 6 pieces of chicken cutlet and 250g of rice. C is a mini ramen with 3 pieces of chicken cutlet, 200g of rice, and a drink. There are other sets too, but this branch did not have a curry set. Hmm~ it's rich!!! Let's dig in. First, the soup. Hmm~ as always, it's rich!!! A tonkotsu-based soy sauce flavor. It is made by combining the gelatinous substance extracted from the pork bones under high pressure with a special soy sauce seasoning. It's completely different from Yamaokay and Tenkaippin, and has a unique taste of Darumaya's Doro ramen. It has a bit of a strong miso-like taste. The punch and power of this soup are amazing. The noodles are curly. The noodles themselves are yellow curly noodles closer to Sapporo style. They have a strong texture and are very elastic when chewed. Well, it has to be this firm to not be overpowered by this rich soup. But... were the noodles the same as the ones in Bibai store?? They felt slightly thinner... Maybe each store has a bit of originality. I felt like the soy sauce was stronger here than when I ate at the Bibai store... Maybe the taste varies slightly depending on the store. It's delicious. By the way, it seems like the person inside the fence is also having lunch. They seem to be enjoying their meal inside the fence... It's nice to be able to have a meal freely inside the fence. This seems like a good facility haha. But looking at it, it seems like they've already finished eating... That's strange, this set was brought in together and it hasn't even been 2 minutes yet... Wait a minute!! At this speed... could it be... that person?? I don't think so haha.

I had the "Doro Ramen" at Ramen Darumaya in the Michi-no-Eki Mikasa, located at 1056 Okayama in Mikasa City (825 yen). The ramen was topped with green onions, menma, and chashu, as well as nori and a half boiled egg. The restaurant is spacious with counter seats, small tables, and even a kids' play area. The menu offers a variety of ramen options, rice dishes, and set meals. The Doro Ramen had medium-thick curly noodles in a rich pork bone soy sauce broth. It was flavorful and satisfying. Overall, a great dining experience.

This completes the salt series. When I first came, I got a little soup and kind of understood it, but it seems that this area will be closing soon, so I came to conquer it. Today, there are almost no other customers eating, so the order was served in about 3 minutes, with a super fast premium salt. The difference in the soup is the strong garlic flavor and higher saltiness compared to other salts, which makes the tongue tingle a bit as you eat. Once you get used to it, it's manageable, but I ended up drinking a lot of water. The noodles are medium-thick curly egg noodles, which I am familiar with and my favorite. The ingredients include a small amount of Chinese cabbage, which I think goes well with this soup. If only there were more of it. The other ingredients didn't leave much of an impression as I ate through it steadily, so I don't have a specific impression, but I think it was just delicious as usual. Although all the salts are priced the same, this one felt slightly more expensive, maybe because of the tax-included price. If I come back next time, I think I'll try the tsukemen.

This shop offers several types of salt ramen, so I decided to try them all in a series of three. The salt ramen here is made with chicken broth, and the flavor of the vegetables really stands out. The soup is easy to drink and it's my favorite so far. The noodles are the usual curly noodles, which go well with the soup and taste good overall. It's not a mind-blowing ramen, but it definitely passes as a regular go-to ramen. I just wish the price was a bit cheaper.

In Sapporo, Ippudo is probably the representative of shrimp ramen. However, for a similar price, this place doesn't have that special taste or attention to detail. The soup tastes like they used some store-bought ingredients, and the floating oil doesn't really enhance the shrimp flavor as much as expected. The shrimp taste is there, but it feels a bit sharp and disappointing. The noodles are average and don't really complement the soup. It feels like they are focusing more on offering a variety of ramen for the general public, neglecting the important details. Since the last time the salt ramen was just okay, I will try a different type of ramen next time.

I heard this phrase somewhere, but oh well, it's fine. Lately, I've been coming around this area more often for work, and this time I came with a few colleagues. It was just about lunchtime, so we decided to eat at this restaurant. This place has four different types of salt for the ramen. Usually, I would choose the standard (light) option, but I was drawn to the name "My Salt" and decided to order it. One of my companions ordered the "Premium Salt Ramen" to compare the soups. We also discovered a mini fried rice on the menu, so we added that to our order. It was around noon, and there weren't too many people, so we didn't have to wait long for our food to arrive. "My Salt" is basically a chicken clear broth salt ramen. It's a familiar taste, nothing special but still good. The Premium version had a slight garlic flavor and seemed to have a bit more saltiness, but the difference wasn't too noticeable to me. The noodles were curly Sapporo-style, which paired well with the soup. The toppings were simple and nostalgic - chashu, bamboo shoots, gluten, boiled egg, seaweed, and green onions. If there was spinach, it would have been perfect. The taste of each ingredient was standard. As for the mini fried rice, it felt a bit small for the price, but it was good when eaten with the ramen. It had a slight oily taste but was not too salty. When ordering the fried rice, they asked if we wanted to add pickled ginger, which was a nice touch. It was a bit disappointing that one person's ramen came out later when all four of us ordered at the same time. It's a bit of a letdown in terms of service. I was surprised when someone who ordered champon received a soup that was not the typical milky broth but more similar to "My Salt" soup. They were also surprised by the unexpected flavor. If I'm in the neighborhood again, I would like to visit this place once more.

I ordered Set B with karaage. I chose the ramen with roasted garlic soy sauce. It seems that the person who used to work at Ramen Daruma in Bibai has opened a new store in Mikasa, and that's why the menu is almost the same as the one in Bibai. The only difference is that the set menu only has the karaage set. In the past, there were other set menus, but whether it's an improvement or a downgrade, I'm not sure. In the Bibai store, you can have unlimited rice refills, but in the Mikasa store, there used to be set menus where you could choose a small rice option, so now you can only have one serving of rice.

This is a ramen shop located inside Michinoeki Mikasa. I ordered the Karaage Set B, which has the same size of ramen, number of karaage, side dishes, and accompaniments as the Karaage Set D at the Bibai shop. However, at the Bibai shop, the set menu allows for unlimited rice refills, while at the Mikasa shop, depending on the set, there may be a small rice menu that does not allow for refills. What's the same is that the ramen I ordered is called Roasted Garlic Shoyu Ramen.

When we asked our children what they wanted to eat on a drive, they always answer "ramen". During a trip to Sorachi area, we stopped by the Michi-no-Eki in Mikasa for lunch. We ordered miso ramen, which had a perfect match of soup flavor and miso richness, making it a very satisfying meal. We would like to visit this restaurant again if we have the chance.

I ordered the Karaage Set B and chose the roasted garlic soy sauce ramen. The set includes 3 pieces of karaage, shredded cabbage, spaghetti salad, fried tofu, and rice. This set is the same as the Karaage Set D offered at the Bibai branch, but there is a significant difference. The Bibai branch offers free refills for rice, while the Mikasa branch charges for refills. I didn't ask, but I can infer from the fact that the rice in Karaage Set C is a small size. Since it's a ramen shop, I will choose the set with a regular-sized ramen over the mini ramen.

I ordered the regular size ramen set B which came with ramen, rice, 3 pieces of fried chicken, fried tofu, and salad. I was surprised that the set came with spaghetti salad instead of cabbage. I chose the roasted garlic soy sauce ramen from about 10 different options. The ramen was very dark and flavorful. The fried chicken pieces were large and I felt like 3 pieces were more than enough. The set also had options A and C, with different quantities of fried chicken and a soft drink. I didn't pay attention to other sets with dishes like sweet and sour pork because I was focused on the fried chicken. There were 5 different soy sauce ramen options, so I debated trying a different one next time, but as a garlic lover, I wondered if any other ramen in the restaurant could top the one I had just tried.

I ordered the Ramen, 3 pieces of fried chicken, salad, and rice set B. You can choose from 11 different types of ramen, and I chose the Premium Salt Ramen. Unlike other set menus where you get a mini ramen, the fried chicken set B comes with a regular-sized ramen. You have to order set B.

I ordered "My Salt and Mini Chashu Rice Bowl". Even if a woman orders, it's still "My Salt". However, this restaurant has three types of salt ramen: "Salt Ramen", "Premium Salt Ramen", and "My Salt". They are all priced the same. I wonder if the Premium Salt Ramen uses better salt but has less toppings. Can someone please tell me? I'll have to go and try it out myself.

The interior of the restaurant reminds one of a nostalgic drive-in. I had the Doro Ramen and my two friends ordered two types of soy sauce. The Doro Ramen was a garlic-infused tonkotsu soy sauce ramen, while the soy sauce ramen was thick and dark, with plenty of oil and served piping hot. The fried rice was a classic dish that did not disappoint. The noodles were all Hokkaido-style curly noodles. Overall, the dishes were served quickly, but felt lacking without additional toppings. The richness of the broth was good for replenishing salt lost from sweating. It wasn't bad at all!

I stayed at Taiko and had a bottle of shochu for lunch, with dishes like sweet and sour pork, dumplings, and fried chicken. I ended with ramen with thick broth. The flavors were strong, making it a great lunch drinking experience. I couldn't last two hours and got knocked out. Lunch drinking at its best. Apologies to those around me who were having lunch!
