On this day, I took my mother to Takashimaya. It was still just past 11 o'clock, but before it got crowded, we decided to have lunch. When I asked my mother what she wanted to eat, she said she wanted soba, so we went to Naniwa Soba on the 7th floor of Dining Maison. Although I have visited the main store in Shinsaibashi many times, this was my first time here. The restaurant, as expected of the newly renovated Dining Maison, was beautiful and had a luxurious feel. When we arrived, about half of the seats were already taken. The menu features the famous soba shabu-shabu, but this time we ordered tempura soba and inari sushi. My mother had the colorful Bonbori bento box with various items in small portions. As for the tempura soba, the aroma of the broth was excellent. Although it is different from Edo-style soba broth, the unique flavor of Naniwa Soba, made with plenty of bonito, mackerel, and sardine flakes without using kelp, had a sharp taste with a moderate acidity. The soba noodles were medium-thick, supple, and had a soft aroma typical of Kansai region noodles. The tempura was served separately with two prawns, tilefish, eggplant, and shiitake mushrooms, all fried to a light, high-quality crispiness. The inari sushi had a sweet Kansai-style taste, which paired well with the sharp broth. Although I usually prefer Edo-style soba, I found the soba at Naniwa Soba to be comforting and delicious. My mother was satisfied with the variety and volume of the Bonbori bento. The attentive service was also excellent. It was delicious. Thank you for the meal.

I often feel like having some dashi broth, so I often come here. Although the prices are a bit higher compared to the local soba shops, the portion size is good, the dashi broth is delicious, the staff is polite, the interior is calming, and the customers are relatively calm as well, which I like. The other day, I ordered the mountain vegetable soba for the first time, and it had plenty of mushrooms in it. The mountain vegetables were not the usual ones you find everywhere, so I was impressed by the quality of Naniwa Soba. That's why I decided to write this review.

Located in Namba, Osaka, just a 1-minute walk from Namba Station, is the Soba Shabu Soken Hompo Naniwa Soba Namba Dining Maison branch. During my visit with two local friends, we enjoyed a lunch together. Since online reservations were only available for course meals, I decided to try my luck and called to make a lunch reservation, and they kindly accepted it. The restaurant is situated on the 7th floor of Osaka Takashimaya, offering homemade soba noodles and flavorful broth. We opted for the Seasonal Soba Set "En" for 2,680 yen, which included various dishes like blowfish, tempura, homemade soba sushi, sashimi, zaru soba (with unlimited refills), side dishes, and dessert. The option to switch the cold soba to warm soba was a nice touch, and the unlimited refills made us very happy. The table seating allowed us to have a relaxed lunch experience. For those driving, there is a discount available at the Takashimaya parking lot for purchases over 5,000 yen, which is convenient. I am also curious about their "Soba Shabu" hot pot dish. I visited for lunch at 11:05. It was a relatively easy-to-enter restaurant in Takashimaya without much of a wait. I was seated at the counter and asked to move one seat over to avoid being in the way of the dish delivery. I ordered the Sakura shrimp and rapeseed with egg on soba noodles. It's a seasonal dish that feels like spring. The egg topping was firm and there was a generous amount of it.

The modern and stylish interior with light jazz background music creates a calm atmosphere. I ordered the tempura and sashimi set meal. The tempura, made with seven different ingredients, had a light batter that allowed the flavors of the ingredients to shine through, making it truly delicious. The large pieces of shiitake mushroom tempura were very satisfying. The tempura of the sand borer fish had a luxurious taste typical of white fish. It paired well with the medium-thin soba noodles. This is definitely a place I would like to visit again.

Located in Shinsaibashi, this restaurant is known for its soba shabu and meat dipping soba. This time, I used a coupon for a health check-up and tried the meat dipping soba here. I chose the dipping sauce with chili oil. Recently, meat dipping soba has become quite popular, but this place has been serving it for over 60 years as a long-established shop. Of course, the taste is delicious. Adding fried burdock to the dipping sauce is a nice touch. I usually tend to go to Udon Chiri Nishiya, but soba is also good.

I expressed my desire to eat noodles, so I ended up at "Naniwa Soba" restaurant. There was no line outside, but the restaurant was full. Although I could have been seated immediately if I ordered a hot pot, I didn't plan on having that, so I waited for about 15 minutes before being seated.▪️Katsu Don (Pork Cutlet Rice Bowl) 1,580 yen▪️Duck Soba (Duck Meat Cold Soba) 1,680 yen▪️Bottled Beer (Medium) 730 yenDespite saying I wanted noodles, I ended up ordering the Katsu Don after looking at the menu. The Katsu Don arrived with thick batter and a lot of fatty meat, not quite suitable for those on a diet. It felt a bit heavy, so I decided to also order soba to balance it out. The Duck Soba that came later had tender and sweet duck meat with a smooth soba texture, which was delicious. However, one thing that bothered me was the bottled beer I ordered initially. The glass was wet with water droplets and the beer was warm, making me wonder why they served it in such a condition. It was disappointing not to feel the hospitality spirit, and it affected my enjoyment of the meal. Unfortunately, I don't think I will revisit this place. Thank you for the meal.

I have always loved Naniwa Soba's soba shabu-shabu! I usually go to the main store, but today I visited the store on the 7th floor of Namba Takashimaya. Soba shabu-shabu is a dish where you dip bite-sized soba noodles, vegetables, and meat in a bonito-flavored broth. Today, I ordered the Wagyu soba shabu-shabu for 6000 yen per person. You can eat as much soba noodles as you like, which is great. The single order comes with just soba shabu-shabu and a simple appetizer, but you can also order tempura separately. Today, I had scallop and conger eel tempura. You dip the soba noodles in hot water yourself, so it's a fun experience even for young children!

Cold soba noodles with plenty of sliced sudachi citrus - the person who came up with this idea is a genius. I may have been called a disaster, but this dish is a whole different level of deliciousness. Refreshing and tangy, the citrus flavor perfectly complements the savory broth. I couldn't help but drink every last drop of this broth. Highly recommended! Thank you for the meal!

Visited after a long time on September 17, 2022 (Sat) in Namba, Chuo-ku, Osaka. Located on the 7th floor of Takashimaya Osaka Store in the restaurant floor. Entered at 8:20 PM. There were a few groups of customers already seated, and it was not crowded. Ordered "Tamago Toji Soba: 880 yen". It was served in 8 minutes after ordering. Soba as a closing dish for a drinking party. The gentle broth soaked into my stomach. The soba was smooth and thin, very delicious. The interior of the restaurant has a calm atmosphere with a wooden finish. It exudes a sense of cleanliness. The lighting is pleasantly bright, making it a comfortable place to be. There are many 4-seater tables for customers. There were 2 female staff members in the hall. They provided polite service. The customer service was average. Completely non-smoking. Appreciated.

I went during lunch time, so there were quite a few customers seated, but I was able to find a seat at a good time. I wanted to have sashimi and tempura, so I ordered the tempura and sashimi set. The tempura was served in two separate rounds. It also came with rice and pickles. By the time I finished the tempura, they brought out the soba noodles. It was like a course meal presentation. The soba noodles were a bit like cold noodles with a really delicious broth! It was served as a cold dish, but when I asked the staff, they gave me some soba broth as well. I added a bit of leftover wasabi for extra flavor!笑

【May 29, 2022】On the way back from Nara, I had dinner in Namba. I chose soba noodles. The restaurant area in Takashimaya was nice and quiet at night. ♪♪ I ordered Ume Tororo for 1,080 yen, a large soba for 220 yen, and eggplant for 990 yen. It was a delicious meal.

On a regular day at the 7th floor of Takashimaya. Restaurant area. Before noon. Some restaurants have a wait, but most can be seated right away. I like soba, so I went to Naniwa Soba. I ordered the tempura soba with inari sushi. I also got a small beer. The tempura was delicious, crispy and not greasy. It had 2 shrimp, kisu fish, daikon, and white leeks. The warm soba was decent, not exceptionally tasty. The small beer was 220 yen. The tempura soba set was 1850 yen. Thank you for the meal.

Namba ◇ Soba ◇ [Namba 5-chome, Chuo-ku] Located on the 7th floor of Namba Takashimaya Dining Maison, 【Naniwa Soba】. Visited with a friend on the weekend when alcohol was allowed. I have been to the Shinsaibashi main store and Kitahama store a few times, but this was my first time at the Takashimaya store. It was still early for dinner, around 5 pm, so it was not crowded. Started with Tomino Hozan (sweet potato shochu on the rocks) ◆ Dashimaki Tamago ◆ Kamo Tsuru (Gold Flower Vase) ◆ Naniwa Soba specialty Niku-tsuke (flavored with chili oil) ◆ Fried eggplant grated soba. Enjoyed the rich dashimaki tamago with sweet potato shochu. The niku-tsuke, a Naniwa Soba specialty, with pork and onions in a rich broth, topped with burdock chips and raw egg, flavored with chili oil, was a classic choice before eating soba. Mixing the soba noodles with the dashi, sprinkled with chopped seaweed and sesame seeds, was a delightful experience. The Kamo Tsuru with gold leaf in the shape of cherry blossoms complemented the soba well. I wanted to drink a little more, but I was conscious of my companion's gaze, so I ended the meal here. The soba had just the right amount of firmness and aroma, with a refreshing soba broth that was rich in flavor and had a strong taste of sudachi. The broth was so good that I easily finished it all. I was surprised by the size of the eel in the mini unagi don. The steamed eel was fluffy and tender, with a generous amount of eel sauce on top of the rice, along with a sprinkle of sansho pepper. I hardly felt any bones, and the fluffy eel was just to my liking. I also ordered an additional unagi roll, which had a beautifully shiny and fluffy egg, making it very satisfying. I enjoyed a summer-like meal in a relaxed atmosphere, with thorough COVID-19 measures in place. The staff were all smiling and provided great service. It was my first time dining out in a while, but I felt safe and had a delicious meal! Thank you very much. I will definitely be going back.

When going out for lunch and checking the weather news, it was predicted that heavy rain was coming soon. I had to decide on a place to eat where I wouldn't get wet in the rain. I decided to visit "Namba Dining Maison" on the upper floors of Takashimaya. Wanting something lighter due to recent overeating, I went to "Sobashabu Souhonke Naniwa Soba" on the 7th floor. However, despite thinking I would go light, my heart was swayed when I looked at the menu! I ended up ordering the "Seasonal Soba Set"! You could choose between zaru soba or warm vinegar citrus soba, and it was all-you-can-eat! The dishes were served shortly after! I asked for some salt as it wasn't provided. The dishes included roast duck, eel, mini tomato tempura, mini rice balls, tempura prawns, whiting fish, pumpkin, and okra, all of which were delicious. The tempura prawns, whiting fish, pumpkin, and okra were all prepared well. The roast beef was thick and delicious, and the soba sushi roll was included in the set. I chose zaru soba, which had a good flavor and firm texture. The soba dipping sauce was Kansai-style, made with bonito, mackerel, and sardine flakes, without using kombu, and with a light soup base. It was so delicious that I had seconds. The sweet milk agar dessert was light and refreshing. The soba broth was also flavorful, and the staff were very friendly. In the end, they even offered to add another serving of soba with a smile, but I politely declined. It was a delicious meal!

In front of the store, there are various set meals displayed in a sample showcase, making it hard to decide which one to choose. The interior of the restaurant has a few counter seats and mostly table seats. I ordered the "Bonbori Bento" for ¥1,738 (tax included), which allows you to try a variety of dishes. It includes small dishes, sashimi, a seasonal dish, soba sushi, tempura, seasonal rice, arare soba, and a sweet treat. The sashimi with konjac and salmon was interesting. I started with the soba noodles, which were delicious with flavorful broth. The chicken rice and daikon with ginkgo nuts were also tasty. The set also came with a soba roll. The tempura shrimp was particularly delicious. These kinds of sets where you can try a variety of dishes feel unique to facilities like this. Thank you for the meal.

Good evening. This is lily_c. Today is the hottest day of the year in Osaka. It's so hot. I don't have much of an appetite, so I decided to have soba noodles for lunch. Since the shopping street in Shinsaibashi isn't very air-conditioned, I went to the dining area in Takashimaya. I chose the tempura eggplant soba set while looking at the lunch menu. I went to Namba Dining Maison for a special occasion after visiting Takashimaya for a mid-year gift. The meal included sashimi, tempura, soba sushi, roast beef, and a side dish of Sudachi soba. You could have unlimited refills of soba. The dessert was coffee jelly and the total cost was 1980 yen (excluding tax).
