During my trip back to Hokkaido, I tried the tsukemen at "Menya Utsukushii Hi," which opened on April 1, 2023, at 19-1 Sakurai-Sakae, Anpachi-cho, Yufutsu-gun, Hokkaido (950 yen). They use Kaneshin Foods' thick noodles, and the medium size comes with 1.5 servings of noodles. The dipping sauce is made from fish and pork bone broth. "Menya Utsukushii Hi" opened on April 1, 2023, and it seems to be run by the owner of "Menya Takahashi" in Tsukisamu Higashi, Toyohira-ku, Sapporo. The restaurant has 6 counter seats, 3 tables for 4 people, and 1 semi-private table for 4 people. Families are welcome, and there are about 4 parking spaces next to the restaurant, with additional parking available at the nearby shopping street. The menu includes tsukemen (small 850 yen, medium 950 yen, large 1050 yen), spicy tsukemen, fish and soy sauce ramen, fish and miso ramen, and rice. The noodles in the tsukemen were served cold, using Kaneshin Foods' thick flat noodles similar to those at Menya Takahashi. The dipping sauce was a rich but not overpowering fish and pork bone broth, with flat menma and chashu included. The umami from the seafood was delicious, and I finished by adding the soup to the remaining noodles. One small disappointment was that even with the soup added, it remained lukewarm. Overall, I enjoyed a delicious tsukemen at "Menya Utsukushii Hi" in Sapporo.

This is a delicious seafood dipping noodle dish. The noodles are thick and firm, similar to udon noodles, but with less wheat flavor. It would be even better if the noodles were rinsed a bit more to reduce the sliminess and improve the texture. The dipping broth is rich and thick, coating the noodles well and spreading a full-bodied seafood aroma in the mouth. The combination of the noodles and broth seems to have been carefully researched. However, as you continue eating, the saltiness becomes overpowering, leading to some palate fatigue. The broth dilution also lacks depth of flavor and remains salty. The large strips of imitation crab are soft and flavorful, adding a nice touch. The chashu pork slices are sizable and filling, but unfortunately, they seem to lack a distinct flavor and are overshadowed by the broth. Overall, it's a tasty seafood dipping noodle dish. Thank you for the meal.

I was curious about a new restaurant. I thought it was a little south of New Chitose Airport from Sapporo, but it was quite far (lol). I couldn't read the place name of Yubari-gun Anpyo-cho, but the restaurant was open even though it was late. I felt relieved! The owner is from the famous Sapporo restaurant "Menya Takahashi". The restaurant opened on April 1, 2023! I ordered the "Shoyu Tsukemen (dipping noodles) small" with a strong dried fish and pork bone broth, and thick and chewy noodles! The dipping sauce was a bit lukewarm, so a slight minus point for that. Overall, the quality was high. It was worth coming all the way here.

Spicy Tsukemen with extra noodles for 900 yen. I entered the restaurant at 1 PM and it was almost full. When dining alone, it's great to sit at the counter and get a seat easily. This was my third visit, and I chose the spicy tsukemen today. The soup with chili oil was strong and paired well with the extra noodles. I was satisfied once again. Next time, I'll go for the miso tsukemen without hesitation.

The total number of reviews on Tabelog is no longer displayed! I used to keep track of it by looking at my mobile phone, but now even that is gone. When I post a review, it doesn't get counted (many places like hotels and convenience stores are not counted) and even if I post multiple times for the same store, it doesn't get counted. Only the total number of reviews on my mobile phone is increasing, so I was at least able to recognize that I wrote a review, but even that is gone now. The count is different between the computer and mobile phone, so what should I believe in? The river of no return where my reviews are not counted. Now, I went to a ramen shop that recently opened in Anping. The exterior was very intriguing, so I decided to check it out. However, the parking lot was full, so I had to wait on the road for a spot to open up. Just as the car in front of me left and I was about to park, a car came from behind and quickly took the spot, which made me really angry. In the light rain, I had to park in a distant parking lot. Luckily, there is a spacious parking lot further away, so parking is not a concern. But it's quite popular. Looking at the license plates, it seems people from the outskirts of Sapporo are coming here to eat. The system is to buy a ticket from a vending machine first. The recommended dishes are the fish soy sauce ramen, fish miso ramen, and old-fashioned soy sauce ramen. I wonder if the dipping noodles are more popular? There are regular dipping noodles, spicy dipping noodles, and miso dipping noodles. It's a fairly thick fish and pork bone soy sauce base. The stylish interior is full, so I waited for a while. The age range of customers varies from families to solo diners. ★Fish Soy Sauce Ramen The soup was much thicker and creamier than I expected. It has a rich flavor, typical of a ramen shop that specializes in dipping noodles. The intense fish taste is delicious. I can see why this is popular. It's quite salty but tasty. ★Old-fashioned Soy Sauce Ramen This is a very traditional and delicious soy sauce ramen. If you can get ramen of this level in Anping, it's no wonder customers are coming. It was a great meal!

Last time, I felt a bit disappointed with "Osakana Shoyu," so I decided to revisit for a refresher. The soy sauce dipping noodles (medium) for 950 yen were definitely the highlight here. However, one should not expect the same level as the training ground at Takahashi's... but the dipping noodles here are delicious. The way the flavors are presented and the overall concept is more refined and sophisticated, catering to a urban audience. If they want to stand out in the countryside, they could consider adding more impact and intensity to the flavors.

Come to Anping Town's festival. My family discovered a shop owned by Mr. Takahashi from Toyohira Ward on Instagram along the way, and we were really looking forward to it. The shop is called Ramenya Takahashi. It's always crowded, so it's not easy to visit often. I used to come here a lot in the past... The base is Ramenya Takahashi, right? The difference is the green onions, I guess. When I come here, I always find a shop that I want to stop by every time.

A shop opened by a owner who came from Menya Takahashi. The owner looks tough, but is actually very friendly. You buy a meal ticket with cash at the entrance. The tsukemen noodles are smooth and easy to eat, even the large serving (2 portions). The aroma of the wheat is wonderful. The miso tsukemen is spicy and rich, also delicious! I have tried their ramen before, but personally I highly recommend the tsukemen. If the parking lot next to the shop is full, you can also use the parking lot in the nearby Hayarai shopping street.

Oh! This ramen looks beautiful, it must be delicious. So I decided to go early. It took a while to get there. When I entered the restaurant, I could smell fish. Not bonito, maybe mackerel or saury. It's my first time at this place, it's a soy sauce base, maybe a "fish soy sauce"? I'm excited. Huh? It looks different from the picture, the soup was supposed to be clear. Oh wow! The bamboo shoots are thick, the chashu is also thick, maybe about a centimeter. The soup is cloudy. Let's take a bite... the fish flavor is strong. It definitely uses a broth made from blue fish. There's a bit of thickness to it as well. Maybe they simmered the broth for a long time. But I wonder if they didn't think about the bitterness. The noodles are medium-thin straight noodles, probably low hydration noodles. They might get soggy later. It's a matter of personal preference, but the noodles and soup don't seem to go well together. I usually don't use condiments at a new place (out of respect for the effort put into the soup) but I couldn't finish it all, so I ended up adding some pepper. I wonder if the owner will notice.

Before heading home, I decided to have lunch here at the famous "Menya Takahashi" restaurant. The owner of this place is said to be from there, which automatically raises expectations. The interior of the restaurant is incredibly spacious and clean. I ordered my favorite fish soy sauce ramen from the ticket machine, along with some homemade chili oil. After a short wait, my bowl arrived. The soup was good, but it didn't quite have the same impact as when I had it at Takahashi's. I wished it had a stronger seafood flavor. The toppings were delicious, and the homemade chili oil was amazing. It had a nice kick of Sichuan pepper, making it perfect for flavor customization. If you don't like spicy food, I recommend avoiding it. The default amount of green onions was generous, which was great. I will definitely come back again. Thank you for the meal!

Today, I visited a ramen restaurant for the first time since returning to Hokkaido. It's a rare fish-based ramen restaurant in Hokkaido. The noodles are thick and quite firm, just the way I like them. The soup is delicious, with a fishy and smooth texture. It's easy to slurp up. The bamboo shoots are very large. The chashu is firm. I also enjoyed the soup refill. Thank you very much.

When I entered the restaurant after seeing Y-san's post about the Tsukemen for 950 yen, a pleasant seafood aroma filled the air. The indirect lighting on the walls reminded me of Ramenya Takahashi, and when I asked the owner, I found out he actually used to work there in Sapporo. I mentioned that I had recently been to "Nanporo de Takahashi," and the conversation started flowing. As for the taste, I first tried the dipping sauce. It had a rich seafood flavor, not too salty. The Kaneshin's thick noodles took 10 minutes to cook. They were firm, slippery, chewy, and went perfectly with the dipping sauce. The thick slices of chashu were tender and just how I like them. I finished by adding soup to the remaining dipping sauce. I don't usually eat Tsukemen because I associate it with being too salty, but I'll definitely be trying more of it in this hot weather. Thank you for changing my perception of Tsukemen. It was a delicious meal - I'll be back soon. Goodbye!

At the end of May, I revisited this popular restaurant. Despite being located in a rural area, it seems to attract customers from Tomakomai, Iwamizawa, and even Sapporo. The fish sauce ramen for 900 yen was described as "mellow and moderately rich," which perfectly matched the taste. Personally, I was looking for a richer and creamier flavor in both the ramen and tsukemen, but it seems like they aimed for a fish broth with a certain sharpness as well. I haven't tried the original fish sauce ramen at Menya Takahashi, so I can't compare, but if I were to choose, I would go for the tsukemen here. The noodles were to my liking.

I visited "菜の花畑" in Yasiracho for the first time in May 2023, which was my 14th visit of the year. I also heard about a delicious ramen shop nearby, so I decided to check it out. On the way, I passed by a famous soba restaurant that was full of cars. However, I stuck to my original plan and drove to Hayariki area in Yasiracho. It turns out that a chef who trained at the renowned Sapporo restaurant "Menya Takahashi" has opened a new shop here. It seems like the taste of "Menya Takahashi" is spreading. Opening a shop outside of Sapporo in places like Yasiracho and Nanporo is quite impressive. It seems like they are confident in their flavors and ability to attract customers. I tried the "Fish Sauce Shoyu" for 900 yen, which is a pork bone and seafood based soup full of collagen. The soup was delicious, and the toppings were carefully prepared, including sliced bamboo shoots, and moist chicken chashu. The green onions were also a nice touch. The noodles were thin straight noodles from Kanejin and had a great texture. I also tried the "Fish Sauce Miso" for 950 yen, which had a similar soup base to the Fish Sauce Shoyu but with the added flavor of miso. The scent of sansho pepper was also delightful, and the dish was equally delicious. I definitely need to visit "Nanporo de Takahashi" soon or maybe revisit the original "Menya Takahashi" in Tsukisamu.

Fish oil ramen for 900 yen The pleasant scent of fish spreads through the nose. The noodles are not curly, but they cling well due to the thick soup. As a result, the saltiness is quite noticeable. Personally, I'm not a fan of the wide bamboo shoots. Next time, I'll try the spicy dipping noodles.

Tsukemen Sho - 850 yen A recently opened restaurant. Finally had the chance to visit. The store has a cute exterior and surprisingly spacious interior. The brand new walls inside the store shine with the words "Menya Takahashi". They offer three types of tsukemen and three types of ramen, as well as various toppings. I started with the menu's top item, the small size tsukemen. It came with a fish-based soup, wide menma, chashu, negi, and thick noodles. It tasted strongly of salt. While they do offer soup refills, it's a shame that you can't adjust the flavor yourself. The parking lot next to the store can fit about four cars, but there's a shopping street parking lot nearby so parking shouldn't be a problem.

I visited the restaurant at 11:30 am, there were 5 customers already there and many more came after. The background music was JPOP♪ I ordered the old-fashioned shoyu ramen with seasoned egg. The name of the restaurant is catchy, it reminded me of a Korean drama called "Beautiful Days". The staff consisted of a young couple and an older man. The ventilation in the old building was not very good. I received my ramen in 6 minutes before the other customers. It looked wonderful with a large piece of char siu, which is not common in old-style ramen, and a lot of green onions. The medium-thick curly noodles from Kanejin were delicious. The soup was light and I finished it all. I should try their tsukemen or fish ramen next time! The old-fashioned shoyu ramen cost 750 yen and the seasoned egg cost 150 yen. Thank you for the meal! Visited a new ramen shop today, located in Anping-cho, Sarai district. The shop is clean and the staff is friendly. I ordered the "Fish Miso Ramen" while my wife ordered the dipping noodles to compare with another shop. The ramen was rich and flavorful, with a strong fish taste but slightly too salty. The noodles were different from the other shop but cooked too soft. Overall, the ramen lacked depth and balance. The dipping noodles were better, with a more complex and deep flavor profile. We both enjoyed the meal but felt that there is room for improvement in the ramen.

An open "tsukemen and ramen" shop in the shopping district of Sapporo Town Early Arrival, with the most distinctive feature being that the owner is from the super famous Sapporo shop "Menya Takahashi". The interior of the shop is stylish with rich design, and the layout of the counter and seating is well thought out, making it comfortable for customers to dine in. The counter seats are cozy, and the kitchen is visible from the seats, making it easy for cooking and service. Tsukemen (medium) for 950 yen. It has been over 12 years since I had tsukemen at Menya Takahashi, so it is hard to judge if the taste is the same, but the texture and ingredients seem similar. The cold noodles have a chewy texture. The dipping sauce is surprisingly thin, not as rich as expected, with a subtle fish powder aroma and a good balance of flavors from the base soup stock. The bamboo shoots are soft, and the chashu is tender and flavorful. I personally wished there was a hot version to prevent the dipping sauce from getting cold, but I guess that's how tsukemen is served. I ended up finishing the soup by adding some hot water. Overall, I was satisfied. Next time, I want to try the fish oil ramen. Sapporo Town is a place I know well with many acquaintances, and it feels like a city ramen star has appeared in a rural town, which might confuse the locals. This place is going to be popular.

This is a place in Sakaecho, Anping Town, along the old national highway. The exact location can be confirmed on the map on the food review website. There was information that someone who trained at the famous "tsukemen" shop in Tsukisamu was opening their own shop, so I decided to visit. I parked my car in the parking lot next to the shop and entered. I checked the menu at the ticket machine and chose the "Old-fashioned Shoyu Ramen" that was not available at the training shop. I handed the ticket to the staff and was seated at a shared table for four people. The ramen arrived in about 10 minutes. The soup had a light pork and seafood broth with a slightly sweet shoyu flavor. The saltiness was a bit high for me, but it may not bother most people. The noodles were medium-thick, yellow, curly Sapporo noodles, which are familiar in the Sapporo area. The toppings included a lean slice of chashu, thick menma, naruto, and sliced kujo negi, but I felt there was too much kujo negi. Next time I visit the Anping area, I plan to try their signature dish, the "tsukemen" in its basic cold style.

I went to a local noodle shop called "Beautiful Day" with my daughter, which opened on April 1st. I had the spicy tsukemen, while my daughter had the fish miso ramen. Since we were the only customers, our orders came out quickly. Both dishes had a rich seafood aroma that was irresistible. I love menma, so I also ordered extra bamboo shoots for 100 yen, which had a satisfying crunch. Both the ramen and menma were flavorful, making me crave for rice (but I resisted overeating). I prefer my ramen piping hot, so I want to try the hot version next time.
