After ordering, the Cornet, which is popular for adding cream after ordering, was already sold out on Sunday afternoon. We were looking for bread to take home and eat the next morning, so it was fine, but the customers who came later looking for Cornet were disappointed. - Premium Shokupan: There was a 5-slice and 6-slice option. There were several other types of shokupan available, but the 1-kilo loaf seemed too heavy to carry, so we chose this normal-sized shokupan. When I tried to toast one slice, I was surprised by how heavy it was. When I tried it, the dough was indeed dense. The 6-slice option was good. It might also be good to eat half a slice at a time with the 5-slice option. It was a delicious shokupan that I could enjoy even without toasting it, a rare find. - Fromage: I had been wanting to buy this bread after reading reviews. It was quite large. It didn't seem like a single-serving size, so I cut it and ate it. Since there were pre-cut lines, I cut it into thirds. I tried it without heating it up, and I was surprised by the mochi mochi texture of the dough. The white bread dough easily flattens when squeezed. However, when I chewed it, the elasticity was amazing. It had plenty of cheese kneaded into it. The cheese was quite salty, adding a punch to the bread. I really liked it! My 3-year-old daughter also happily chewed on one-third of it. - Curry Donut: My husband had it. As soon as he took a bite, he said, "Spicy!!" It was indeed described as "very spicy" in the product description. It wasn't extremely spicy, but it was quite spicy. - France Pistachio: It was a small French bread, and there were also milk and caramel options, but I chose pistachio. The dough was soft and elastic, and I thought it was good for everyday use at a reasonable price. - Almond Chocolate Croissant: I wanted to try a bread dough, but since there were no croissants, I chose this instead. The conclusion was that it was a great choice. The balance of the crispy and moist texture of the dough, as well as the balance of almond and chocolate, were both exquisite. I definitely want to buy this again. I want to buy it again on my next visit.

At 2 o'clock on Sunday. Corners are supposed to fill the cream after ordering (Cannolo method?), but unfortunately they were already sold out. I want to aim for it next time. There were various types from hard bread to side dishes and sweets. It was impressive that there were many sandwiches for the time. If the weather is good, it seems nice to eat in the nearby park or along the waterway. But if you've come this far, maybe I'll go to a ramen shop.

On Sunday around noon, there were many types of bread in the shop. I bought a Danish cornet and onion gratin bread. For the cornet, you take it to the register and they fill it with cream of your choice - whipped cream, fresh cream, or chocolate. I chose chocolate cream, which I hadn't had in a while. They also sprinkled powdered sugar on it and put it in a pack so it wouldn't get squished. The powdered sugar leaked a bit from the pack, which was a bit messy but funny. I had the cornet in the evening and it was crispy! Not just crispy, but the outer crunchiness and aroma were spot on. The dough was comparable to the one from Tamakido in Kyoto. The cream was plant-based oil, which was nostalgic. The onion bread was similar to focaccia, with a slightly crispy outer layer, especially after warming it up in the toaster. The onions on top were sweet and abundant, and the bread itself was thick and delicious. It wasn't very creamy, just mainly focused on the sweetness of the onions. The shop was spacious, making it suitable for families with small children. Thank you for the meal.

There is space in front and beside the shop. The entrance is a bit raised and steep. As soon as you enter, there are alcohol, trays, and tongs on the right, so you can choose your bread right away. It's nice to see so many new items. The most surprising thing was the soup bread, where they inject soup into the bread after you order. This day it was clam chowder with plenty of scallops. Potatoes and other vegetables were also mixed in. The solid French bread dough pairs perfectly with the piping hot soup. I enjoyed it in a nearby park while it was still warm, and it was very satisfying. It seems like a great shop to accompany a leisurely stroll on a day off. Once the pandemic is over, having a coffee corner or live music would definitely enhance the quality of a holiday.

I visited the store before noon, and there were various types of bread displayed. The cream-filled cornet that I was looking for was sold out, so I plan to try again. The French gratin with eggplant had vegetables cooked in a tomato-like sauce inside, with eggplant on top. The bread was hard and satisfyingly delicious. The almond chocolate pastry bread is highly recommended, with a crispy texture and a great combination of chocolate and nuts. I would like to visit again since it's close to my place.

There is space in front and beside the shop. The entrance is a bit raised and steep. Inside, on the right, there are alcohol, trays, and tongs for customers to use while selecting bread. The option to have a cornet filled after ordering is a nice touch. You can choose from cream, custard, or chocolate fillings. The cream is light, while the custard is thick. There used to be another option, maybe a half size? Anyway, it's best to enjoy the bread while looking at the nearby rice fields. The variety of bread, the local atmosphere, and the friendly staff create a cozy feeling. And the cost performance is great - you can have a delightful experience choosing bread, chatting with the staff, and enjoying a cornet for under 1000 yen. It feels like something Goro from "Kodoku no Gourmet" would appreciate. For locals, it could be a convenient stop after visiting the nearby home improvement store or Uniqlo, or a nice souvenir from Ten-Ichi. For tourists, it could be a pleasant walk from Eizan Chayama, followed by a detour to Aoiiro Coffee after buying bread. Taking the coffee to go and relaxing at Ichijoji Park, then exploring Ichijoji with its various shops, could be a sophisticated way to enjoy Kyoto.

A bakery that opens from 7 a.m. is precious. I went there for the first time. There were many attractive breads lined up. Prices range from around 90 yen to cookies for about 500 yen and muffins for about 300 yen. I tried a cream-filled pastry that was crispy and delicious.

This bakery is located on Kitaoji Street in Umeno-ki-cho, Ichijoji, Sakyo-ku, Kyoto. They accept PayPay payments and I purchased a yakisoba dog for 216 yen, a French Dutch curry for 173 yen, and a chilled cream bread for 205 yen. The yakisoba dog had a sweet dough that paired well with the yakisoba sauce, making it quite delicious. The French Dutch curry had a mellow and flavorful curry that left a good impression and was delicious. The chilled cream bread had a soft dough filled with plenty of custard cream, which was rich and high-quality, making it extremely delicious.

Yakisoba dog. Soft bread sandwiching yakisoba noodles, the sweet bread and sauce complement each other perfectly. Schneekreme. A light cream generously sandwiched between layers of bread. The bread is crispy and the taste and texture are excellent. Located in a residential area, this bakery may be inconvenient to get to but seems to be popular. Next time, I want to try the Cornet Crisp where the cream is filled after ordering.

Bakery Le Bon Dieu is located a 6-8 minute walk from Chayama Station. It opens early in the morning and is loved by locals. It's a great place to buy morning bread, with reasonably priced items. I purchased the popular Salmon Mariné this time. The soft, fatty texture of the smoked salmon combined with the rich, slightly unique flavor of cream cheese, sandwiched between hard bread, with a good balance of vegetables and seafood. They also have a variety of other deli-style bread and sandwiches, so be sure to visit. Thank you for the meal!

Until today, I had no idea that there was a bakery called SUGITORA Patisserie Lab just 15 meters away. As I was heading there, I noticed a bakery where customers were constantly coming in. They had a special soup bread for the cold season, but I decided not to order it as they warned that the bread might soak up the soup if not eaten quickly. I ordered the Cornet Crisp, which you can have filled with cream. I chose a half portion with custard and chocolate cream. The cornet dough was light and easy to eat, not overly buttery. The custard cream was rich and creamy, while the chocolate cream was also good. I also tried the Fromage, which had a chewy dough with a unique cheese flavor. It was more on the savory side and quite enjoyable for adults. The premium sandwich bread was satisfying and delicious when toasted the next day. It had a good balance of sweetness. Lastly, I tried a savory Danish pastry with a rich bechamel sauce and boiled egg. The Danish was crispy on the outside and the buttery taste was not overpowering. It was a simple yet delicious treat. Overall, I felt envious of the neighbors who could enjoy such tasty bread daily.

I stopped by this place I found while taking a walk. It was around 9 am on a holiday. There were quite a few customers inside the store. I purchased various items, but the most impressive thing was that they fill the cornets with cream on the spot. I first bought just the cornet shells, and then I could choose the cream at the time of payment (whipped cream, custard, and chocolate?). (I'm not sure about the chocolate.) They solved common issues with cornets such as losing their crispiness, the cream melting, or the cream being lukewarm. I had a very delicious cornet!

Today, I went to the Ichijoji area in Sakyo-ku and decided to stop by a popular bakery. REBONDIE is located on Kitaoji Street with a red roof. Their popular item seems to be the "Corne," where cream is stuffed into a pie crust. The variety of bread inside the store is impressive. The "Corne Crisp" cream comes in three flavors: "fresh cream," "fresh chocolate cream," and "custard," with the option to choose half and half. I purchased all three flavors and enjoyed them in a nearby park. - Corne Crisp (Custard): The custard was overflowing from the pie crust, which had a very crispy texture. The combination of the thick custard and the pie crust was delicious. - Corne Crisp (Fresh Cream): The freshly stuffed cream was fluffy and delightful. - Corne Crisp (Fresh Chocolate Cream): The chocolate flavor was also delicious, creating a nice harmony with the pie crust texture. Today, I had fun comparing the popular items at REBONDIE.

- Visited around evening in Sakyo-ku, Kyoto City. There were various pastries and bread left. The large store interior with many bread displayed was very enjoyable. - Muffin 238 yen: A visually appealing large muffin. Rich in the scent and flavor of eggs and butter, fluffy and moist. The fine texture makes it easy to eat. - Chocolate muffin 270 yen: Contains chocolate chips. Also moist. Personally preferred this over the normal muffin as it had a slightly less sweetness. - French epi 216 yen: Mustard flavor stands out, plenty of bacon saltiness, simple and soft bread. A bit on the salty side, so it was just right when eaten with lettuce. - Whole grain bread 313 yen: Nice aroma. Size like a large pound cake. Even when toasted, it remains chewy.

I randomly entered a shop called Rubondi. I had some errands nearby and was looking for a bakery, so I decided to go in. It had a local bakery vibe, and it seemed like people from the neighborhood often come to buy bread here. They had a limit on the number of customers allowed inside and were following good COVID-19 precautions. There were almost no bread left on the shelves, maybe because it was already past noon? I bought a sandwich and a baguette to take home. The bread was delicious and reasonably priced. I wish there was a bakery like this near my place.

I am visiting popular bakeries in Kyoto city. Today, I went to a bakery in Ichijoji, Sakyo-ku, where Coronne is popular. ■ REBONDIE This bakery has a soft, wooden atmosphere. Their signature item seems to be "Corne Crisp," where cream is stuffed into pie dough. Unfortunately, there was a sign outside saying "Coronne sold out today," which was a bit disappointing. Since I had come all the way to Ichijoji, I decided to buy some bread to take home. French bread also seems to be popular here. Inside the store, they had posted the "scheduled baking time for French bread." Freshly baked bread is delicious, isn't it? I felt their dedication to bread. Inside the store, they had a variety of hard bread, sweet bread, and savory bread. I bought three types of bread to take home. ● Lemon Fromage Seems to be a new product. Yogurt cream and lemon were placed on a crispy dough. The mellow taste of yogurt and the refreshing taste of lemon were perfectly balanced. The texture of the dough was also pleasant. ● French Milk A small-sized French bread with delicious sweet condensed milk cream. The surface is hard, while the inside is chewy. It has a good texture, and the taste of condensed milk spreads in your mouth as you chew, making it rich in flavor. ● Caramel French This is also a small-sized bread similar to French Milk. A sweet caramel cream was sandwiched inside. The cream blended gently with the bread, making the French bread dough feel slightly softer. Besides their signature Coronne, there were many delicious bread options available. I would like to stop by again when I am in the area. Hopefully, I can get my hands on Coronne next time!!

My husband found a place that I really like! We went to Rubondi-san and ordered a pastry where they fill the inside with cream - you can choose from whipped cream, chocolate cream, or custard for 160 yen each. Custard is 170 yen. It was so delicious and I want to visit again. Thank you for the meal!

I visited at lunchtime. They offer a wide variety of pastries ranging from Danish pastries to authentic bread. Today, I purchased Danish pastries, cheese-filled bread, and whole grain bread with raisins mixed in. The Danish pastries had a crispy texture with a generous amount of cream on top, providing a rich flavor. The bread with black raisins had a rustic, coarse dough that intensified in flavor as you chewed, making it delicious.
