There was a taiyaki shop that I stumbled upon. The filling was quite generous, with a nice texture. The outer shell was more like a waffle, lacking a crispy texture. The cream filling was slightly uneven in distribution, but overall decent in quantity. I took it to go, so the shell might have gotten a bit moist. I'd like to try it fresh next time.

After leaving Tagawa-Gotoji Station and walking straight ahead past the old bus terminal, you will find the temple. There is a prefab building on the temple grounds, as well as a parking lot. I ordered a sweet red bean paste taiyaki for 150 yen including tax. It was a cute-shaped taiyaki with a generous amount of filling.
