You can also get seconds on rice. The freshly fried aroma of the fry, and the pork in the ginger pork dish, which looks a bit small but actually has a large piece of meat hidden under the vegetables. The boiled egg comes with a sweet-smelling broth. The crispy fry and the delicious ginger pork with a large meat area. It's simple but reasonably priced for lunch. I even got a little extra rice because the side dishes were unexpectedly plentiful.

Today's lunch was decided based on the appealing sign...! It seems like they also serve dinner like an izakaya and are open for lunch! The restaurant is small, with a counter for 7 seats, 2 raised tables, and 2 regular tables, run by a husband and wife duo. They offer a variety of 14 dishes, with free rice refills! This time, I wanted to eat meat so I chose this: Pork ginger stir-fry and chicken karaage lunch (780 yen). First, the pork ginger stir-fry! It comes with two fairly large pork slices, providing a satisfying meal! The ginger flavor is strong and delicious! The onions are sliced raw, adding a refreshing texture and taste. The karaage, though a bit small, has a nice garlic flavor and a crispy coating. The flavors are not too heavy, and the chicken is tender and juicy. The set also includes salad, side dishes, and miso soup, making it a hearty meal! I left the restaurant feeling full and satisfied... It's no wonder there are many office workers here! This area is crowded during lunchtime everywhere. This restaurant offers daily specials at a good price. My companion was enjoying their fried chicken set meal. As a regular lunch spot, it's satisfying to be able to eat warm rice.

Yuu no Tsuki, an izakaya in Higashi-hie, Hakata Ward. The restaurant is located very close to the intersection of Higashi-hie 1-chome. I visited for lunch on a weekday. I ordered the daily lunch special (700 yen including tax). The special of the day was "Tofu Hamburger with Pork Katsu". It's a menu that feels like it belongs in an izakaya, which is nice. I feel like having a beer even though it's lunchtime (laughs). The daily lunch special arrived. It came with the main dish, rice, miso soup, salad, and a side dish. (You can have unlimited rice refills). When I tried it, the tofu hamburger had a rich sauce that went well with the rice. The katsu was also delicious. The restaurant has counter seats, table seats, and a raised seating area. When I visited, it was full of businessmen and office ladies. As someone who loves curry, I'm also interested in the shrimp fry curry on the lunch menu. I'll definitely come back for the delicious daily lunch special at Yuu no Tsuki.

Today is March 30, 2018 (Friday), the last day of the current period. I visited the restaurant a little after 1 pm. This period was tough! I dined alone today. I checked the menu and ordered the lunch set. The restaurant had about three people, mostly office workers, as the lunch rush was already over by 1:30 pm. The TV was showing high school baseball, so I watched while waiting for my lunch set to arrive. It consisted of chicken in chili sauce, menchi-katsu, dried daikon radish and cabbage salad, rice, and miso soup for 700 yen. Rice was refillable, but I didn't need any more. The chicken in chili sauce was delicious!

During lunchtime, the place is usually packed with nearby businessmen, but if you come early, it's still okay. They have counter seats, table seats, and a slightly raised area in the back. The daily special lunch set costs 700 yen, and on this day, it included two pieces of karaage and ginger pork. I really like their ginger pork made with pork loin—it's so delicious when wrapped with rice. The karaage was also freshly fried and crispy.
