I am "Noronori," who mainly walks around eating lunch, centered around Sakai. I used to live in Kishiwada, so I thought I had conquered quite a few restaurants in Kishiwada, but there are still many unvisited places. One such place is Fujiya. I sat at the counter near the entrance and, after some hesitation, I chose the 880 yen tempura udon. The incredibly delicious broth was so good. The noodles were soft like Osaka udon, and the tempura had a generous portion, so I left feeling full. Thank you for the meal.

The restaurant has been renovated and now has a modern and stylish atmosphere both inside and out. I had the soba and oyakodon (regular size) set, and the portion was generous, filling me up. The cost performance is very good, and the taste is also gentle and delicious, making me want to go back again.

I visited this restaurant because it had high ratings on Google Maps. I underestimated the food scene in Kishiwada (sorry!), so I didn't have any expectations. However, when I actually tried the food, I was shocked by the quality of the broth, noodles, and the amazing value for money. I encountered udon that was a perfect 100 out of 100 points. This is the only place in Kansai that serves Kansai-style udon which can be proudly showcased to the world! As a Kansai native, I had never thought Kansai-style udon was delicious, and I always thought of it as a simple dish to eat at home. But my perspective completely changed. Kansai-style udon is a game where the emphasis is on simplicity and value for money. I can't help but remember the ramen boom that happened in the past. It was that shocking.

Today's lunch part 2: Cold udon set for 800 yen. The side dish is just croquette (*≧∀≦*). The rice just won't go down (¬_¬). The noodles are flat and soft, with a rich and dark soup. Cold chicken tempura udon (Big) comes with two large pieces of chicken tempura and is very voluminous and delicious. The combination of cold udon and hot chicken tempura is satisfying. The chicken tempura is substantial but not overwhelming.

This is a shop located about a 3-minute walk from Haruki Station on the Nanhai Main Line. The interior has counter seats, table seats, and a tatami area in the back that can accommodate quite a large number of people. It is a smoking-friendly establishment. I ordered the oyakodon (680 yen) with a mini soba added for an extra 100 yen. I also ordered the tempura zaru (1100 yen) and asked to change the soba to udon. The food was served in about 10 minutes. The oyakodon had a decent amount of chicken and probably used 2-3 eggs. The eggs were fluffy and the broth was tasty, but the soba was disappointing - it was very powdery and too hard. I tried a bit of the zaru udon and the noodles were good, so I regretted not getting udon instead. The tempura was well-cooked, and the shrimp was large, but the soba was the only letdown. Thank you for the meal!

I discovered this restaurant when I passed by it before. Finally, I had the opportunity to go and try it out. I had the katsudon with a side of mini udon. The udon noodles were slightly flat and thin, with a flavorful broth. However, the highlight was the katsudon. It was incredibly generous in portion size, to the point where I couldn't finish it all. The taste itself was delicious, with a thick coating on the cutlet but still tasty. I was very satisfied with the large portion size that I couldn't finish. The udon was also delicious, so next time I want to come back and try the udon as the main dish.
