The mixed fruit pancake was luxurious with plenty of fruits on top. The pancake was so fluffy that it melted in my mouth. When I topped it with the strawberry jam provided, the acidity balanced out the sweetness, making it easy to eat.

I visited around noon on a Sunday and was able to enter without waiting in line. The ordering process is done by scanning a QR code on the table, which can be a bit confusing. It's easy to order regular items, but ordering a set drink is quite difficult. I had to ask a staff member for help in the end. Additionally, the lunch plate I ordered was served incorrectly. When I asked for syrup for my iced tea, I was given sugar sticks instead, which was frustrating. The lunch was indeed tasty, but the mistakes made the experience disappointing.

I thought they only served Dutch baby pancakes, but it turns out they have a variety of other menu items as well! I was surprised when I visited. There are so many appealing options on the menu. Even though I had plans for a meal afterwards, I couldn't resist trying the parfait. It had pancakes with butter and a hint of salt, which was delicious! Next time, I definitely want to try the regular pancakes, hamburger omelette, and maybe even the apple pancakes.

Located on the 2nd floor of KITTE Hakata, this place has a bright and spacious interior. My friend ordered the Dutch Baby (1408 yen) and I got the Shrimp and Smoked Salmon Dutch Baby (1716 yen), and we shared a Cheese Omelette (1188 yen). Drinks are not included, so we had an Iced Cafe Latte. All three dishes were quite generous in portion size. The Dutch Baby is prepared right in front of you by the staff, and my friend really enjoyed it. The Shrimp and Smoked Salmon Dutch Baby that I ordered was filled with vegetables, salmon, shrimp, and avocado, topped with dressing. Pouring the dressing over the vegetables and giving it a little shine before eating is recommended. The Cheese Omelette was fluffy and cheesy, very delicious. It's nice that you can easily stop by while shopping.

This was my first time visiting this place. The shop is located on the 2nd floor of Marui. You order by scanning a QR code. I ordered the fluffy pancake [plain] for ¥1,276 and a lemon soda for ¥528. The pancake was very fluffy and delicious with maple syrup and butter. Thank you for the meal!

I went here after having lunch with my classmates. I love pancakes! I usually make hotcakes at home, but it's not often that I go out for them, haha. Pancake hunting is always fun. This place was delicious too. I shared with my friends!

First Pancake House. I always wonder why pancakes are so expensive. Half-size chocolate chip pancake for 680 yen, vanilla ice cream topping for 280 yen, and chocolate latte for 500 yen, making a total of 1606 yen with tax! Quite pricey. I wish they would offer a set price with regular coffee or tea. The pancakes have a slightly salty taste and are thin but well-cooked, quite different from homemade hotcakes. The chocolate chip and sauce are rich and nice. The vanilla ice cream is decently sized but a bit expensive at 280 yen, should be around 150 yen. They only offer ice cream with the French toast menu. The chocolate latte is okay. It tastes fine but could use a bit more value for the price. The fluffy pancakes they are known for cost 1200 yen without ice cream. It's strange how we don't mind the high prices for cakes when they look visually satisfying. Recommended when you're hungry! The half-size portion is satisfying enough.

I found out about another place that serves delicious fluffy pancakes since Eggs 'n Things closed down, and I was taken there. We sat in a sofa-type seat with lots of cushions, which was very comfortable. This seat will spoil you (laughs).

You can enjoy a voluminous omelette here. The only downside is that the level of heat varies each time, but it's hard to find a place where you can just have omelette by itself, so I find it quite convenient. Also, most seats have power outlets, making it perfect for working on your laptop!

I ordered a Dutch Baby and a fluffy pancake. The Dutch Baby waitress spread butter and other toppings in front of me. The taste was delicious and unique. The fluffy pancake was so light and fluffy that it surprised me. It was a pancake that I could never make at home. It was my first time trying such a fluffy pancake in my life. Personally, I preferred this one. However, one thing to note - the topping on the pancake is not ice cream, it's margarine! I accidentally ate it thinking it was ice cream. Looking at the signboards, I noticed that there were many restaurants on the upper floors as well. I was drawn to the sign that said "Pancakes," so I decided to go in there. Since I was dining alone, I was seated at the counter. The counter had charging outlets, which was convenient! I looked at the menu and ordered the following: Chocolate Banana Pancakes (1,265 yen including tax) and Iced Tea (473 yen including tax). It took about 15 minutes for the pancakes to be ready. I wasn't in a hurry, so it was fine. There were books placed on the counter as well. Looking around, the customers seemed to be on the younger side, which made me feel a bit out of place. After a while, the pancakes were ready! They looked fluffy and light. When I touched them with a fork, they were trembling softly. The chocolate was drizzled on top, so I took a bite and tasted it. The pancakes were so fluffy that they seemed to melt in my mouth. Although it looked like a lot, they were not heavy at all, probably because they were filled with air. There were three pieces, but I finished them all in no time. I enjoyed the iced tea while charging my phone, and it was a delightful meal.

There are plenty of seats available, with a good distance between them, so you can relax and enjoy your food and drinks. The tables are large, there is free wifi, and outlets are available, making it a convenient environment for work. On this day, I ordered coconut pancakes and a cafe latte (1270 yen). The prices seemed a bit high.

This is a pancake shop on the 2nd floor of Hakata Marui. I visited with a friend for lunch in Hakata and used it to take a break at the cafe. I wasn't expecting much, but the pancakes were fluffy and delicious. Since it was after lunch, we shared them, but they also had meal options, so I would like to try other items when I visit again. There were also restrooms nearby, and it was a child-friendly shop.

Pancake shop at Hakata Marui. Saw the sign and thought it looked delicious, so decided to visit, but there was a long line. And it wasn't moving at all. Finally, it was my turn but... I see, that's why there was a line (I won't write it here, but it seems like it'll be sent back to draft). The pancakes were ordinary. What was really delicious was the Dutch Baby that I ordered on the side. The drinks were okay. I quickly paid and left the shop but... the reason for the line was still there. The shop really needs to do something about it. They'll lose repeat customers.

The souffle pancakes are great, both the regular and the chocolate banana ones are delicious! However, the Eggs Benedict was disappointing. It was cold and the egg yolks were overcooked, making them dry. I was looking forward to the runny yolks mixing with the sauce, but it didn't happen. The salad was small as mentioned, but it looked even smaller since it was spread out thinly on a large plate. I won't be ordering it again at this restaurant. I should have gone with the Dutch Baby dish I had before.

I arrived before 11 o'clock and there was one group of customers already there, with more customers coming in one after another. They had a Christmas version of Dutch Baby, so I ordered that. It took about 12-13 minutes to bake, but the inside of the store was clean, bright, and cute. I sat at the counter and there were books in front of me, so I waited leisurely. I had tried Dutch Baby before, but this one had plenty of heart-shaped strawberries on top, matcha soft serve, strawberry ice cream, kiwi, blueberries, and strawberry sauce. There were also two chocolate brownie cakes on top, so just the toppings alone were very generous. It was delicious. The staff were very polite, with smiles and provided excellent customer service. I would definitely like to visit this place again.

I felt like eating pancakes and stopped by in Hakata. It was a little past 11 o'clock and the staff quickly seated me, even though it was still open. The atmosphere was nice and relaxing. I ordered the Eggs Benedict set lunch for 1180 yen along with a drink, and it was served in about 5 minutes. When I put butter on the pancakes, it didn't melt? Huh? They were lukewarm. The Eggs Benedict... I could only taste the egg, and the pancakes felt a bit powdery. The staff were very efficient, but overall it was a bit disappointing. Thank you for the meal.

I went to THE ORIGINAL PANCAKE HOUSE on the 2nd floor of KITTE Hakata to coincide with the annual Kaki Koya alumni gathering. The Original Pancake House is a long-established pancake specialty store with over 100 stores in the United States (including 2 in Hawaii) and 8 stores in Japan, founded in 1953. While the Macadamia Nut Pancakes looked delicious, the most popular item at this store is the "Dutch Baby." The Dutch Baby is made by baking German batter in an oven. It is served with whipped butter, cut lemon, and powdered sugar, filling the table with a sweet aroma. The "German batter" is a special batter made with plenty of eggs, not your usual pancake batter. The finishing touch is when a staff member spreads whipped butter generously and evenly on the batter using the back of a spoon. Then, squeezing three cut lemons over it releases a refreshing lemon scent, enveloping the Dutch Baby in the sweet and sour flavors of butter and lemon. Finally, sprinkling powdered sugar on top completes the Dutch Baby, which has a crispy exterior and a fluffy interior. The moist and crepe-like layers, with a subtle sweetness and the flavors of butter and lemon, make it a slightly sophisticated pancake. Originally named "German Pancake," it was renamed "Dutch Baby" by the second-generation owner to make it more manageable in size and appeal to a wider range of customers, from the elderly to infants. On the other hand, I was also drawn to the fluffy omelets, but I chose the lunch plate with Eggs Benedict, generously topped with Hollandaise sauce. It was accompanied by whipped butter and maple syrup. Cutting into it revealed a runny yolk, and the rich Hollandaise sauce paired well with the thick-cut bacon and muffin. Afterward, I attended the annual Kaki Koya alumni gathering on the Itoshima Peninsula. Despite various events being canceled, the strong determination of my classmates ensured that the gathering proceeded as planned. Last year, I had to miss it due to catching the flu at the last minute, so this was my first Kaki Koya alumni gathering in two years. I enjoyed sharing good sake with my old friends.
