I ate too much and watched a local TV show from Kansai, ended up falling asleep, and woke up before noon. I decided to take a stroll through the shopping street. There were a few shops selling Konamon and Karaage. I had already eaten Konamon yesterday, so I decided to have Takoyaki as a snack (lol). For brunch, I settled on Karaage and rice!! However, I had trouble choosing a restaurant. After looking again, I decided to go to Narumiya because it was crowded with customers. Amazing. What's amazing is the variety of Karaage they offer. Not only do they have thigh and breast meat, but also regular Karaage, black pepper, sweet and sour, etc... Furthermore, for an additional fee, they will change the rice in the bento box to "Kashiwa rice". I was thrilled ♡ So, I ordered a sweet and sour Karaage bento with Kashiwa rice (large), regular Karaage, and black pepper, and headed back to the hotel. (I'm sorry, I forgot to take a picture of the regular and black pepper Karaage). First, the Kashiwa rice... light but flavorful, delicious!! And then, the sweet and sour Karaage... made with Chinese black vinegar, it adds a nice touch. Next was the black pepper... with the fragrance and spiciness of pepper, it has an adult taste. After refreshing my mouth with water, I tried the regular Karaage. The flavor is soaked all the way through, delicious!! It might be as good as my mom's Karaage, but she hasn't made it for me when I've visited home recently... I always thought Juso had a reputation as a "sensual city", but it's actually a "delicious city". I'm now curious about other Karaage shops in the area (lol). I won't include the information about the Takoyaki shop (Konamon shop) because I didn't take any pictures. It's located in the same shopping street and stands out on the corner. It was my first time trying Takoyaki, and it had a generous amount of squid in a light batter with a tasty sauce.
