On a regular day, around 7:00 PM. Nighttime at the shopping street in Juso. Discovered a takeout-only fried chicken shop! They offer various types like thigh, breast, black vinegar, black pepper, and chicken wings. They fry them in advance so you can eat them right away. Chose the black vinegar fried chicken. It's fried chicken with black vinegar on top, like a sweet vinegar sauce. It cost around 258 yen for 100g. It was delicious but a bit cold. Not ideal for eating on the spot, but it might be good to take home and reheat. Thank you for the meal.

I ate too much and watched a local TV show from Kansai, ended up falling asleep, and woke up before noon. I decided to take a stroll through the shopping street. There were a few shops selling Konamon and Karaage. I had already eaten Konamon yesterday, so I decided to have Takoyaki as a snack (lol). For brunch, I settled on Karaage and rice!! However, I had trouble choosing a restaurant. After looking again, I decided to go to Narumiya because it was crowded with customers. Amazing. What's amazing is the variety of Karaage they offer. Not only do they have thigh and breast meat, but also regular Karaage, black pepper, sweet and sour, etc... Furthermore, for an additional fee, they will change the rice in the bento box to "Kashiwa rice". I was thrilled ♡ So, I ordered a sweet and sour Karaage bento with Kashiwa rice (large), regular Karaage, and black pepper, and headed back to the hotel. (I'm sorry, I forgot to take a picture of the regular and black pepper Karaage). First, the Kashiwa rice... light but flavorful, delicious!! And then, the sweet and sour Karaage... made with Chinese black vinegar, it adds a nice touch. Next was the black pepper... with the fragrance and spiciness of pepper, it has an adult taste. After refreshing my mouth with water, I tried the regular Karaage. The flavor is soaked all the way through, delicious!! It might be as good as my mom's Karaage, but she hasn't made it for me when I've visited home recently... I always thought Juso had a reputation as a "sensual city", but it's actually a "delicious city". I'm now curious about other Karaage shops in the area (lol). I won't include the information about the Takoyaki shop (Konamon shop) because I didn't take any pictures. It's located in the same shopping street and stands out on the corner. It was my first time trying Takoyaki, and it had a generous amount of squid in a light batter with a tasty sauce.

On this day, I had some time to spare before transferring at Juusan Station, so I walked through the shopping street and bought various foods. One of the places I visited was Karage Narumiya, a takeout specialty shop for fried chicken. They sell by weight or by piece, and I got 200g of chicken wings. Although the taste is different from Nagoya's specialty chicken wings, it was still delicious and easy to eat as the bones came out smoothly. It's really tough for these kinds of shops to survive, especially with a deli shop right across the street.

I was craving for some fried chicken and came across Narumiya. I got the thigh and breast pieces to go and enjoyed them right away at home. They were incredibly delicious, juicy, and tender, perfect as a side dish or snack. The only downside was that they were sold out of chicken skin. I really wanted to try that... Next time, I'll definitely come back for a rematch!

There are several specialty fried chicken shops in this area, but this place is the best! The chicken tastes great even when it's cold! The coating is also perfectly crispy and delicious, much better than just plain fried chicken with flour.
